Bad business, false promises, misinformation, no clear policies, changes however they like. Purchase glass from this place regularly for our business. Gave them VIN of the car we need windshield for. They gave me the windshield but it was the wrong one. Called to inform them and they said bring it in for return. When I brought it in, they said: 1. I need original receipt. I had a copy because we scan receipts into our software and don't keep originals. This wasn't good enough. I had the card I used to pay for the glass. The receipt with all info on it was on the copy I had. They wouldn't have it. 2. They wanted to charge a restock fee of $45. I said that no one ever mentioned that when I purchased it or when I called to say they gave me the wrong one. The wouldn't budge. 3. They want to charge a $15 delivery fee. I told them I picked it up. They said it was to return the glass to their vendor even though I have nothing to do with this. They claim they had to order the glass and didn't have it in stock even though I ordered the glass and picked it up from them immediately only because my regular vendor didn't have it in stock and they did. 4. I informed them that I give them business sometimes and they should've mentioned these policies or had them written on their receipt or somewhere else and that this treatment was not fair, nor was it good business. They didn't care. 5. I told them I would no longer give them business because this was a loss mainly due to their error because I trusted that a glass business would know what part they were giving me and were sure it was the correct part. They didn't cares I believe they make it difficult to return by charging restock and other fees simply to prevent people from returning anything. This is false advertisement, it is misleading business practices, it is deceptive business practices and it is just wrong. Highly recommend to find other business that care about and value their customers and are reasonable human beings. The following is being added in response to Aaron Auto Glass's response on 3/5/25: I called in to order the glass from you and was told you had it in stock for pick up immediately. I picked it up within two hours from you. Never was I told this was 'special order.' Not on the phone or in person, as you claim. I gave you the vin and was adamant about making sure that I was getting the correct windshield because I already had a problem with another part prior to calling you guys. You assured me this was the correct part. I asked if it was wrong what would happen, you guys told me it won't be wrong. I did call the day after we picked up from you to inform you it was wrong and I wanted to return it. I admit, I saw the 'no return' signs and the information in the receipt but I called the following day to tell you guys that YOU made the mistake, not me. You are the glass business, not me. When I explained the situation, you guys told me very specifically to bring it in and that a manager will inspect it and then you'll take it back. No one said anything else. I also called the day before I came in because I wanted to make sure it was still okay to return it because I knew I waited a couple of weeks. Again, YOU guys told me to bring it in and that a manager will inspect it and that you'll take it back. When I went to return it, the woman at the front called someone and had a long discussion about this situation. Even at this point, not once was I told that there is a no refund policy. After a lot of time on the phone with an unknown person, she said she'd take it back with a restock and delivery fee totaling $60. This glass cost $195. This situation isn't about the money. It's about the principal. You guys made the mistake. You should admit your fault and take responsibility. I have a business and I do the same if and when we make a mistake. Mistakes happen as we are all human but the way your staff responded to this situation - and now you with this response on Google - I find your business to be unprofessional and untrustworthy.

I went to this store a couple times for replacement of the windshield of my car. My dad and I took the videos of the interior and exterior of the front windshield. The replacement of the windshield is fine, but they made a small dent on the side of the car. We talked to the person, and he showed us a new damaged windshield which it was not there before, but he said the dent was there already. We argued with the person to take the responsibility of it, but he was making excuse, like you filmed the video so fast and it was shinny in the morning when you filmed it and you couldn't see the dent. He won't take the responsibility of the damaged that they caused on my car. Suggestion: if you choose to repair any windshields from this auto shop, please film the interior and exterior of your car slowly and make sure the video is clear, so you know what's the condition of your car before they do the repair. Also take your own risk with extra damaged on your car like dent or scratches. They might not take responsibility to cover it.

Grace (part owner) disrespected my children and myself, read til the end. About 4 months ago I came in to AAron auto glass to change 4 windows, unfortunately at the time I was in a toxic relationship and my x thought it was better to take a hammer to my windows than to go to therapy. Anyways, Jokingly I asked if they had any “crazy X gf” discounts to which Grace replied I’ll take the tax off $89 went from 1348 to 1265. Cool. The problem came when about 4 months later I went to the car wash on 42nd and western and went through the blow dryer I remember hearing a loud crack n thinking that blow dryer is really strong it had my hood wobbling bad. It wasn’t til I went to park that I noticed the rear tinted window not broken like a hammer or brick would break a window but completely shattered and in place. So decided next morning, went to AAron and explain what happened. I’m a single parent and I had 2 of my kids w me sitting in the front seat of the car together for safety because I didn’t want glass to hit them if I hit a bump. Got to AAron and tried explaining what happened however it didn’t matter what I said Grace kept on discrediting my story. And basically calling me a liar. She said a rock hit the edge of the window and had a worker point out a stress crack on the edge. He quickly walked away when I started asking questions like how a small rock can shatter my whole window if it’s my rear window? And if it hit the edge where is the damage to the trim? She said she’s been doing this for a long time and she’s seen all kinds of things. I was so frustrated that I raised my voice slightly never cussed or disrespected her at all just mad that she couldn’t give me an actual reason that made sense. She than acted like she was going to walk alway or call someone and I calmed myself down and she said she would give me a discount. We went inside where my 2 children were at, she then said she can give it to me for the exact same price I had paid before. 325. And said I remember you, I gave you a great price, you asked for A CRAZY BABY MOMMA Discount, she said that infront of my babies. The mother of my children had nothing to do with my windows at all. I couldn’t believe the disrespect I literally got so angry that I started to tear up n couldn’t even breath, because I never disrespect my children in any way and for a stranger to do so is crazy. I asked her not to talk like that infront of my children and she said, you talked to me like that outside, I said we are infront of my children and she gave me a face like she didn’t care. I couldn’t breath I had to walk outside to catch my breath and get my composure. I walked in tear eyed asked for my receipt got my babies and left. The look in my babies faces, smh only a parent would understand. I tried to get a hold of the other owner, wouldn’t give me his info, also corporate for AAron went on the website and nothing. Just transferred me back to 38th and kedzie to deal with GRACE.

I own a $280 dash camera because I drive for a living hence why it once my windshield crack started spreading I immediately had it replaced, however had a little care been taken with my personal items I'd probably come back next time something happened but the fact they attempted to completely disassemble a dash camera because they couldn't figure out how to remove it, bent my charging cable and complete ripped off the adhesive for the suction cup it's unfortunate because now I gotta drive 2-4 days without a dash camera. I'm sitting right in waiting room as if nobody could come get me? Say hey I'm having an issue with removing your dash camera can you show me how to remove it I would gladly but the fact they just ripped it off on a camera I purchased 5 months ago is negligent and unfortunate because I've been here multiple times and sadly this will be the last time Windshield is as expected

My mother took her Toyota FJ cruiser on 4/28/25 to get her window fixed that this company installed backwards two years ago. They charged $75 and broke the antenna on the car and didn’t notify us. Please do not do business with this place, they just want your money and does not do any work 4/29/25 EDIT: you see Aaron’s reply below. I spoke with Grace and while they said they would reseal and we had to drive 65 miles an hour back, even doing so, the windshield was not sealed and sounds worst! The antenna a mistake? But still a piece of the car is gone at no fault of our own. They then tried to say we contacted Joliet first when we did not, we have a card for the Kedzie location only! They would want us to drive back an hour to them when the job should have been done correctly the first time. Please do not give them your business. They will not offer a refund though they did the job incorrectly and did not put back on the antenna when they removed it. We will ask for the antenna and a refund. There are better places to go for service.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Aaron’s! Unfortunately, my sunroof shattered during some stormy weather. I had some confusing and annoying issues with my car insurance, and they actually provided me with Aaron’s information on a list of approved glass auto body shops. Although I did not end up going through insurance and my car insurance carrier was difficult to work with in regards to the sunroof, I still decided to go with Aaron’s and I am so glad I did! My insurance told me they couldn’t cover the sunroof replacement unless I waited 2 weeks to 5 months for the glass. Since it was during some rainy and stormy weeks in Chicago, I didn’t want to wait that long for a new part from Honda and risk interior damage from the weather. Aaron’s helped me find a used part VERY quickly. They gave me an estimate of around 2 weeks, and within 24 hours, they called me back and said the part was already in! The women at the front desk/office are incredibly sweet and nice—I was very impressed with their professionalism and service. They even knew it was me when I walked in, because I had called so many times earlier in the week! They were very patient and understanding. It’s so common to experience poor customer service these days, and Aaron’s really impressed me with how amazing their customer service is. The mechanics were also great—quick, efficient, and very professional and respectful. It is obvious this is likely a family owned business! I drive a 2012 Honda CR-V with almost 150,000 miles on it. It is definitely a “city car” with a lot of cosmetic body damage. I often have negative experiences at auto shops because the mechanics and staff often try to pressure me to pay for additional work due to having an older vehicle with a bunch of scratches and dents. Aaron’s didn’t attempt to upsell me or convince me to pay for any additional repairs, and the mechanic who worked on my car was very respectful and kind about being transparent with the other (unrelated) damage—no one tried to make me feel bad or get me to pay for additional labor I can’t afford. They order used parts, and I really appreciate places that offer used and after-market parts like Aaron’s. I do not make very much money, and this is a great place if you are on a budget and/or experiencing an unexpected repair like glass replacement. The pricing was very fair, and they were incredibly transparent about the costs upfront. I ended up paying the exact amount they estimated before they even ordered the glass for me. It was also super fast and efficient! I often have issues with car places due to having an unconventional work schedule and two jobs, but I loved the ease and hours/availability at Aaron’s. It was great that I didn’t have to make an appointment and come at a specific time, and it also did not take long at all. They were honest about the time frame estimate, but I was in and out and paid in under one hour on a Friday morning a couple hours after they opened. It was definitely a bit busy, but they were so fast and efficient—truly a wonderful, easy, and pain-free experience! This is a very honest shop and the prices are very fair. They did not make me feel uncomfortable at all as a woman who knows very little about cars and drives an older, beat up car with high mileage. I am extremely impressed and would 100% come back if I needed them again. I will recommend Aaron’s to everyone I know moving forward! Great experience and absolutely wonderful employees here!
