**** UPDATE **** both Shelby and Austin called me offering to fully refund me to take my review down. When told no, Austin told me “ I don’t think you’re unhappy with the service, I think you’re unhappy with your life” and hung up LOL 😭 need I say more? Original review: I had a really poor experience here today. I called for a chip repair and they were able to fit me in immediately. The girl at the desk, who seemed timid, lacked knowledge and professionalism (airpod in one ear - barely acknowledging my presence as a customer) was supposed to give me a run down of what to expect as a result of this service — all she told me was that during the repair, there is a chance the chip would expand across the windshield and a replacement would be needed. I took the risk and signed the waiver and proceeded with the repair. It took about 15 minutes, as promised. When seeing the work, I was so disappointed. Maybe my expectations are not aligned, but as a service based company, I expect to be informed about what to expect. This wasn't relayed to me at ALL. Now I’m left with a chip in my window that’s still visibly there, and now just filled with resin, and just looks poor. Not what I was expecting after assuming (and not told otherwise) that the crack would be gone. After some back and forth and me expressing my frustration, Shelby knocked down the price to $50 (from $70), but overall I was just annoyed. Shelby then proceeded to mansplain to me about insurance coverages, etc which pissed me off even more. I left without saying anything, which he then proceeded to follow me to my car to speak to me. Would he follow a dude out to his car to be aggressive? It felt just gross and over the top. Anyways — I will NOT be back. The whole experience was extremely disappointing and I feel finessed. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

EDIT. +2 Stars Austin, the owner reached out and took accountability for his business and made it right by getting me taken care of. + 2 stars! Tint was done by Tint By Day, next door, that was clarified and I didn’t know they weren’t affiliated. —————————————————————— I wanted to love the place but in the end, I was not happy how things turned out. To be honest, I think accountability and integrity was missing here. Bonus star goes to getting my truck in the same day I called and getting an OEM windshield asap. However, I previously had clear ceramic tint on my windshield and got it replaced along with my windshield, cause I thought it would be easier that way. However the tint had specks of debris, which is unappealing. Very trouble some to remove and redo… so it is what it is now. Next gripe that I have is that when prying out my cracked windshield they damaged my paint and chipped the edge closest to the windshield. I brought it over to the shop, and was told that it’s just chipped primer by Austin, and he was willing to put any random primer on it and call it good ( which would look terrible). He offered to pay for a touch up paint from the dealership so I accepted. However I had to go purchase it and bring it back for them to do it. Shouldn’t the one who damaged your car take responsibility for their mistakes? Also, I was waiting around for a while in the hot sun, for one of their techs to do it but they were occupied. I’ve decided that I can do this touch up myself and got out of there before the possibility of damaging something else. As a customer, I will not be returning and didn’t have a great experience as others did.

Thanks to Shelby and Advanced Auto Glass, I was able to get my Polestar windshield replaced without much of a hitch. I filed a glass claim through my insurance after my windshield met a flying rock on the freeway, and Shelby was able to communicate directly with my insurer to authorize the replacement and get my vehicle in out and out of the shop in just three hours. Shelby and his team are friendly and efficient, and I felt comfortable throughout the whole process. The new windshield was replaced cleanly (save for a minor issue with a loose piece of trim which the shop quickly remedied during a follow-up visit). What's interesting is that I learned my positive experience with Advanced Auto Glass was not unique to me; the client sitting next to me in the waiting room had multiple successful windshield repairs/replacements done by Advanced Auto Glass, and even my Uber driver also said he's had positive experiences with windshield repairs through Advanced Auto Glass. Fingers crossed I never have to deal with a windshield replacement again, but if I do, I'm definitely giving Advanced Auto Glass a call.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience in an unfortunate circumstance! After having my car broken into over the weekend while in the city, I decided to take my car to Advanced Auto Glass vs the local dealership purely based on their raving reviews. I was willing to pay a little extra if need be, especially to get the glass cleaned up inside, but didn't even require getting a detail for them to do that for me. Shelby in particular was extremely kind and empathetic toward my situation. I truly feel that he went out of his way to give me a good deal and my car was ready by the end of the day. Overall, it was so much faster and cheaper than I had anticipated and the work is definitely quality. Very pleased with the outcome. First scheduled visit they decided they needed to replace not repair the windshield. Second scheduled visit they did not have the windshield and stated they would call me to reschedule. One week later and never heard from them. By the way you cannot reach them by phone. My insurance company stepped in, got the appointment and also gave me a number that I could contact them through. I smartened up and called before driving to South Santa Rosa and checked to make sure they had the part. Third visit the windshield was replaced. The employees were always pleasant and curteous so I have no complaint with them. The Company's business practices need to be improved. I wasted several gallons of gas driving to their remote location to get this repair and it was extremely frustrating.ServicesAuto windshield replacement

The windshield on my 23 year old Jaguar XK8 was needing to be replaced. Called around and got quotes from different places all over Santa Rosa. As a young woman with a foreign car choosing a trusted business for repairs is important. Advanced Auto Glass was the only shop to call me back…and then offer to replace my windshield for less than my quote from Safelite! Very down to earth and straightforward. Austin was able to get me in the next day! Their place is clean, and waiting room comfortable with lots to read including free WiFi. The staff were very nice and personable. The whole appointment was very transparent and they let me know exactly what was being done. My windshield looks amazing, and the staff were very careful and professional with my car. Wonderful family owned business, I have lots of respect for this place. 10/10 recommend- go support your local family owned businesses!
