I woke up Tuesday morning to a busted right rear door window on my 2013 Ford Edge and the car ransacked. One of my coworkers/friends is also an able mechanic and he showed me a site online where he is happy with the prices, (of parts, including auto glass). I found my window several times, ranging from $135 to $60, for pick- up. My plan was to go pick up the window, (9 miles), and then call my mechanic, (that I've used for decades), to see how much he'd charge to install it. He, however, referred me to Ajax, saying that they could do it better, quicker, and for less than what I planned to do. He was right on all points. I called them around 9:00 am, they told me that they had to order my window and if there were any problems they would call me back, otherwise bring it in at 12:30 pm. No problems, got there around 12:15- $145 installed and a fine job. If I ever need auto glass again, they're my go-to spot now.

These guys seems to be experts in auto glass... but customer service leaves much to be desired. Knowing what I know now, I would have spent the extra $200 and went to Safelite. I spent 5 hours just to get a windshield done. This was an entire Saturday down the tubes and when I explained to the same girl who checked me in (I guess? since they do not use names and scribble in a notebook) that I had been waiting since 9:30am and it was now almost 2:30pm and they were still put finishing touches on my car she argued with me that I couldn't have possibly been there since 9:30am since she got in only an hour before me. I watched several people with windshields come in behind me and be out the door long before me. When I explained I was upset with the wait without being told anything like they had a problem getting the windshield in he just grumbled that my molding had to be reused and just shrugged his shoulders when I said I will go elsewhere in the future and not refer anyone to them. OK place if you are in a pinch and need just a mirror or a weird side piece of glass but I would steer clear of this place if you want to feel your time and money is valued by a company.

These guys (and gal and the "hardest working newbie") are legit. I had a chip in my windshield leaving lake Tahoe which splintered into something awful and was just getting worse. I have a 2022 vehicle and my wife was quoted a thousand dollars by the dealership, two hundred less than that at a random auto glass shop. Then I remembered Ajax and I couldn't be more satisfied. I ended up paying a quarter of what the dealership offered going through Ajax. When you call for a quote, know what your vehicle has with regards to your windshields. It's important to know if your car has: lane departure warnings, impact sensor warnings, rain sensors, and heads up display; this of course pertains to newer vehicles. I have a 2000 Toyota that'll need glass too. If your are satisfied with the price you need to go in and put in a deposit so they can order the glass. I put half of the deposit down on a Friday and was told if no one calls me I'll be good to go on Monday. I arrived Monday morning at 9am and my car was immediately brought in for my windshield replacement. The gentleman who worked on my car was quick and mindful. Although he had this look on his face every so often where he looked like he was blowing into a trumpet, sometimes in frustration. He was frustrated by all the wires, probably because I wasn't smart enough to remove my dash cam from the glass, that's my fault. Otherwise, I was given specific instructions for aftercare, paid, and sent on my way. 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Ajax Autoglass is a criminal fraud. You should NEVER go there. My experience is based entirely on me dealing with a woman there who is probably the shop owner. Here is a brief scenario of the PRIMITIVE criminal-fraud technique that this woman practices. Basically, she depends on that customers who come to her do not have any experience at all. First, she posts fake online reviews, so you get a false good impression and go ahead and call. Second, she gives you a false low price on the phone to lure you in, so you go ahead and show up. Third, she tells you that an alleged misquote has taken place, gives you a new price that is 50% higher, and asks you to pay first, so you go ahead and pay in advance (she does not give receipts or estimates). Finally, she installs glass from the junkyard into your vehicle, intentionally damages it, and walks away silently because she took her money in advance so she has nothing to worry about, so you go ahead and take your vehicle and leave. The fake online reviews work as follows. The Ajax woman writes a review of her own words, then submits it to a fraudulent website (there are many) after paying $5. This website has thousands of imaginary characters who act as alleged customers, and they take her review and post it online for her business under the name of one of their fictional characters. Check out what this woman posted under the name of David S. on 3/30/2014 on Yelp to know exactly whom you will be dealing with (if you don’t find it, then she has probably taken it off). These imaginary characters have 400 reviews plus each. She does not give receipts to customers; so that she could rip the city off later in tax fraud. I was not given a receipt. I will file a police report online. If you were a customer with this place within one year and you were not given a receipt, I suggest that you submit a tip online to Philly Police; you can also email them; so that they come and collect her off the street. If she then gets later convicted of tax fraud, she is subject to 5 years in prison and $250K in fines. She commits criminal vandalism against customers’ vehicles. When I came to pick up my vehicle, I found the handle trim broken, the arm-rest cushion grazed, the door panel cracked and swinging back and forth because she did not put all the retainers back, and the power-window switch hanging from the cord out of the door with a broken clip. I thought initially falsely that she does not have any experience at all; however, that turned out to be false. In fact, she intentionally damages your vehicle, whenever possible; to compensate herself for each single dollar she saved you. It is a disaster to let her replace a windshield; since she will cause serious irreversible damage to your vehicle in that case, where many customers posted reviews on Yelp (these reviews disappeared later somehow) that she allegedly used a sharp knife to remove the old windshields causing deep grooves into the frames of the vehicles which were not filled or even covered with prime, resulting in serious rust and water leak into the vehicle each time rain falls. This water will later soak the carpet causing mold overgrowth. If you need professional autoglass repair done, I recommend any of the following 3 options: 1- If you’re in hurry, go to the big guys like Safelite or AAA Autoglass. It is worth it. For a $100 more than Ajax, they will come to your door, install a brand new glass, deliver a great service, and GIVE YOU A RFECEIPT and a written warranty. 2- (3-days option) Order parts online yourself from ebay or a trusted dealership website and schedule Safelite or AAA to come install them for you. A brand new windshield does cost almost $200 (oem) or $90 (aftermarket) online, and Safelite quoted me $100 to come to my door and install it (total cost as low as $190). 3- Ask your friend if he/she knows a good autoglass shop to set you up with. Hope that helps, you’ve been warned.

I took my new 2016 Chevy Malibu there for a windshield replacement. Usually you have to call a day in advance but when I called at 10:30 a.m. Mike the gentleman who answered the phone told me if I can call him back by 11 a.m. that he could repair the windshield that day. I called him right back asked if he can order the part he told me it be there by 1:30 p.m., called me back around 12:30 told me that if I wanted to come the windshield would be there by 1 p.m. instead of 1:30 p.m. so when I arrived at 1 p.m., I gave him my keys and was out of there by 2:05 p.m. windshield already replaced and everything... Thanks to Joanne and Mike it was a pleasure dealing with both of you! I would also recommend this place to anyone and everyone because it is the most cheapest place around for any work that is needed on your vehicle. They also have a one year warranty on windshields for leakage and a 30 day guarantee on any stress cracks so I definitely give this 5 stats rating!! I'll have to post my photo at a later date but excellent service! Thanks again!

I had an older Ford escort I took it to five other glass shops plus two of the mass market chains and every single one of them said sorry we can't get the part you know part shortage is with the supply chain we can't get the glass to fix your rear windshield. I called up Ajax on advice of Reddit of all places and lo and behold they told me put money down to cover the part and we can have you done in the next three days. Because of my schedule and not being able to come in it end up taking 5 days but my rear windshield is repaired came in at roughly where I expected to pay but again all the prices I was quoted was from shops who would turn around to tell me the next day oh by the way we can't get the part so as far as I'm concerned the price was right the repairs were fine and I am content.
