I noticed a chip a few days ago and since I have a long trip planned over the weekend I figured I better have it fixed. As I was sitting in the waiting room I was asked to go in the back where my vehicle was. I was greeted by a young gentleman who pointed to the spot on my windshield and asked, is this the area of concern. I said yes. He said it has already been fixed. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and then thanked him for being so honest! Honestly, I would not have known if he fixed it or not. The front desk woman then walked up to me and handed me back my cash. I will definitely recommend this shop and continue to share the wonderful treatment I received. Thank YOU!

Came here to replace my windshield and to tint the replacement. I thought I was getting a good deal because they knock off a few bucks if you do both at once. They replace it and tint it. I get called back to see my windshield and in the process I’m trying to make sure the other guy is cutting up the right tint % because there was a mix up and he should’ve been cutting 20%, which he wasn’t. So, then the guy that fixed my windshield told the tinter that it’s supposed to be 20%. The tinter replies, “no, I’m already going to cut what I have out.” I tell the front desk what he said, and she handled it. I left to go get breakfast because of the wait. I come back and see that my car is finished. I check it out, and everything looks good from the outside, but the nightmare was inside. The trimming was horrible and the tinter even missed a spot. A part of my windshield was not tinted. I was really nice about this whole situation but highly frustrated. I showed the owner and the front desk the work. The owner told me to come back another day, so they can fix it. He went back to talk to the tinter and came back out to say that the tinter said he’s not going to fix it. The owner said that the tinter said that’s the best he can do and that my expectations are too high for him. So, I’m talking to the owner and he’s not understanding anything. I took pictures as well as a video. I also recorded my whole conversation with everyone and made sure everyone knew it was for my safety. The front desk ladies were sweethearts and they were even shocked on how I was getting treated. The ladies felt so bad and tried talking to the owner, but he didn’t care. The owner didn’t offer me anything for my inconvenience besides to take it off and refund me for the tint, which he did. In the process I got a scratch on my windshield, which I pointed out to him, but he didn’t care. He walked away. After all of that I left in a good manner, and finally found time to write a review. There is so much more to this review but I wrote enough. Please don’t comment trying to manipulate my review when I have evidence of the whole incident that took place. Zero stars!!! Edit: It doesn’t matter when I responded. It still matters because what you put me through. It’s crazy how you literally responded a whole lie. Even the part that “I went back the next day”. Please pull up the cameras where it shows that I went back. I have proof of the whole thing. Be careful how you respond with false accusations. Clearly you don’t remember anything since your whole response was a lie. The only thing that sounds about right was the time frame of when I went. I clearly said don’t respond, trying to manipulate the whole situation and that’s exactly what you did smh! I will longer go back and forth. I’ll be sure to save your response for my records. If I could give a half a star I would. I reached out to have my driver's side window replaced in my Ford E350 Work Van. The lady who received my call at 8:30am appeared to be very nonchalant, and obviously preoccupied with something else. I explained what was wrong with my vehicle, and what was needed to repair my driver's side window. I also mentioned that I purchased a regulator and motor kit in the event there are other issues when they remove the door panel, and it doesn't offset how long the job takes due to a lack of parts. She says okay, and then asks about my windshield. I said, my windshield is fine! She gives me an appointment of 3pm. I took off work to get these repairs done to prevent my vehicle from getting broke into, so 3pm it is. I get there, give her my keys, and the installation tech says, your windshield is fine, you want us to look at the driver window as well? WAIT WHAT!!!!? After explaining to him that I'm not here for a windshield, I was told to get see her again because apparently, she wants to sell you a windshield. She says OH, you didn't want a windshield. I said we had a whole conversation about the driver's window and parts I purchased... NO I don't need a windshield. She looks through some papers, a book, and then her PC, and proceeds to say... Well, this is just a minor inconvenience. we can fix it tomorrow! WAIT WHAT!!!? This is not a minor inconvenience lady, I took off work, I had to remove the hack job board up repair I did to get here, now, I have to do another piss poor board up job, hope no one breaks into my van, take another day off work, and hope you can get it right tomorrow...........NO this ISN'T a minor inconvenience! I took my keys and went to Glass City Inc in Gary on 49th and Broadway! They did a phenomenal job...!!! If you want it done right at Hammond Auto Glass.... bring the motor, regulator, and "WINDOW" so that you're not minorly inconvenienced! I think the owner/manager should consider receptionist training, and how important the client is, and don't assume that when you mess up, it's "NOT" just a minor inconvenience!

For the second time, Hammond Auto Glass has come through in a last minute crisis. They replaced the windshield on my Altima a few years ago and just yesterday they replaced the window on my Rogue Sport. Both times they were fast, reasonable, and polite! Imagine being told by your insurance on two occasions that it would cost almost $500 to replace auto glass. A headache right! Both times Hammond Auto Glass replaced my auto glass it was in less than 2 hours and it cost me LESS THAN HALF the price of what insurance wanted. Also, for yesterday’s replacement my window was broken that morning and they replaced that afternoon. SAME DAY SERVICE. I didn’t have to worry about my car sitting overnight with no window. Will be going to Hammond from here on out for all auto glass needs!ServicesAuto power window repair, Auto windshield repair

If I could give this place a zero I would 1,000 times and more. They didn’t bother calling me about an issue they had with a window they ordered but when it came close to closing time I got no phone call that my car was ready so I HAD TO CALL THEM. Not only did they not take into consideration it takes time to get there, they put me on hold because they didn’t want to wait for me to get there and when I arrived keep on mind I was still on hold with them, the place was closed. There was a truck outside I’m assuming it was a technician, he played dumb when asking him about the place and left shortly after we walked to the front. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Decent price but I would spend more for better customer service!! Disrespectful, rude, ignorant workers. It’s sad that these places get good reviews but treat their customers like complete garbage.NegativePunctuality, Professionalism

Update: Victor took care of the issue, but to the guy who replaced the windshield that Friday, I hope your grass turns yellow and crusty and it's uncomfy to walk on. Thank you Victor. (Two days after getting it fixed for real this time, I got a nice new chip in my windshield so that's exciting.) Yyyyyeah got my windshield replaced yesterday. Tell me why ITS NOT EVEN ATTACHED TO MY CAR RIGHT NOW???? The entire windshield along the sides and top are not glued down, just completely detached from the car. And tomorrow's Sunday. And Monday is memorial day. So that's dope. Not like I have to go to work or anything. Guess we'll see how they remedy it 🙄
