He comes to your home which is also very convenient. Although the owner is busy, he made time in his schedule to come on short notice to check on and repair the windshield. It looked like new again. This is a great shop. I had developed a crack on my Chevy Colorado windshield from a small rock off a truck tire. It was a totally unavoidable event. Safelite wanted about $980 for a windshield, installation, and programming. Programming is common on modern vehicles for front impact warnings. It's an option I find redundant unless you're a tailgater. I received a new windshield for about $315. Some insurance policies have zero dollars out of pocket, so if you have that, go with the Safelite windshield. If you do not, as I discovered, this is a more economical solution.

Portland glass wouldn't even call me back to talk about putting glass in my 1986 IROCZ I just painted. I called them and after them telling me they cant even schedule me in for atleast 3 weeks about when they could do it, I was pretty fustrated. I called Chris on Monday and not only was he able to get the windshield, He installed it on that following Friday. He showed up with his dog (whos a riot) and took extreme care with the new paint. He explained everything along the way (I'm the curious type) and made sure the fit and finish was perfect! I'm super happy with the job of the install and now I can finally move the car outside, not worry about rain and finish the rest of the car inside. Quality job! Highly recommended!

We were working out of state and developed a cracked windshield on our way home. We had a very narrow time frame to get the windshield fixed and get back to work. Chris (the owner) was great at working with our limitations. It was a freezing cold day and he was able to install the new windshield in our garage. He even called us a few days later to make sure everything was ok and we were happy with the customer service! I wish more businesses provided service like Chris.
