Update: Since posting this review, Hi-Tech Auto Glass has made it right. They replaced the defective windshield with the original brand I had originally requested & paid for, and provided excellent service during the follow-up. I truly appreciate them stepping up and following through. While the initial experience was frustrating, they handled the resolution with professionalism, and I’m glad to say the issue is now fully resolved. I had my windshield replaced by Hi-tech Auto Glass on June 7th. Right after the install, I pulled out of my garage to run errands and I noticed two pits in my direct line of sight. I immediately called the office (before I hd even driven anywhere), and was told “that can happen while driving” - putting the onus on me. I reiterated, I hadn't driven anywhere yet. They did send a tech out to inspect the glass, who confirmed the pits are on the inside of the windshield and can’t be repaired. I was told they would get me new glass, but despite following up multiple times (including in writing/text), I haven’t received a response for weeks. Having paid over $1,000 for this replacement, I’m frustrated with both the defective windshield and the lack of customer service. I’d be more than happy to update this review if they step up and resolve the issue, but at this point, it’s been nearly two months without resolution. Not what I expected for the price or the promise of service.

I had a terrible experience with this company when they replaced my windshield. They failed to properly fix the molding on the top of my car, which came off after they replaced my windshield. They sent out a technician who proceeded to put blue tapes and said he will be back in two days but never did. When I contacted them to resolve the issue, they refused to repair it unless I paid an additional charge. They refused to connect me with a manager, and gave me the runaround. I have been driving around with a defective windshield for over a week due to their lack of responsiveness and poor customer service. I cannot recommend this business to anyone. Their unwillingness to take responsibility and resolve the problem is unacceptable. I will be reporting this incident to the Better Business Bureau. Avoid this company if you value your time and money!

THIS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE MOST INCOMPETENT AND DISASTROUS WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE OF DEALING WITH! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY! THE COMPANY SENT AN INEXPERIENCED AND UNPROFESSIONAL TECHNICIAN WHO MANAGED TO DAMAGE MY DOOR PANELLING WHILE ATTEMPTING TO REPLACE MY WINDSHIELD. NOT ONLY DID THEY FAIL TO INSTALL THE WINDSHIELD PROPERLY, BUT THEY ALSO LEFT MY VEHICLE IN A WORSE STATE THAN BEFORE. AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO REACH OUT TO THE OWNERS AND RESOLVE THE ISSUE, I HAVE RECEIVED ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE OR APOLOGY FROM THE COMPANY OWNERS. NOW, I AM LEFT WITH NO CHOICE BUT TO FILE AN INSURANCE CLAIM AGAINST THEM FOR THE DAMAGE THEY CAUSED! PLEASE SEE THE PHOTOS BELOW ALONG WITH THE VERIFIED INSURANCE CLAIM NUMBER FOR REFERENCE!! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE!

I would rate one star, but my appointment was only yesterday so I don't know how the glass is going to hold up or how the calibration is going to be, but trust me if it's bad I'll be coming back with a 1 star review. So, I'm rating based on customer service and the technicians. It all started fine when I talked to one lady and my insurance guy and they made my appointment for July 5th. Then on the 3rd they call me to tell me that the guy who was supposed to either do my glass or calibration decided to book himself a vacation after I had already scheduled my appointment, so I had to reschedule. Well, over the weekend, the glass went from a big chip to a crack across the windshield. I drive for a living in that car, and that meant I was driving under dangerous conditions. I called several times and left at least one voicemail and not once was my call returned. Very unprofessional. Now, on the actual day of the appointment (mind you they never gave me a time frame of when the people would be at my house) at 9am, I got a call from the guy replacing my windshield, saying he was outside waiting. He woke me up from a dead sleep so I had to get changed and ready before I could move the car for him. He was very impatient and rude when I got outside. First he wanted me to park on the sidewalk, which is not allowed, and then he wanted me to park behind people who had to leave for work. Then when he was done, I asked at least 3 times "when can I take the tape off" only to be met with every time "not today". So I finally asked, "what day? Wednesday? Thursday? Friday?" To which he said tomorrow (apparently this was not the correct answer because the calibration guy said 3 days, meaning Thursday). The guy who did my calibration was the only person I ended up having a good experience with and he was very nice. However, and this is not his fault, but if the lady scheduling my appointment had told me the calibration has to be done in the shade, then I would have told her an evening appointment would be better because our driveway and area surrounding does not get shade until around 4pm and our garage is *full* of 2 cars and stuff. He was very stressed because even after we moved one of the cars out, there still was not any shade in the garage for him to do his stuff. He ended up having to makeshift shade for himself, which is not fair, and had I been warned, I could have saved him some stress. Then today I missed a call and there was no voicemail left so I called to ask if they needed anything to which I was met with the rudest woman I have ever talked to on the phone. Next time I need my windshield replaced, I'll be finding somewhere else. This was a bad experience (sans calibration guy). I'll be reporting this to Camelback Subaru too so they know who they're referring people too.
