Pelican Zone - New Orleans Auto Glass, Tint & Windshield Repair

Windshield Replacement was quoted over phone "320 for everything." Took 3 visits to replace. 1st visit - Attempt one: Wrong windshield. Attempt 2: Older man got the correct windshield, but tech cracked while installing. Was told to come back a couple days later for adhesive to dry. 2nd visit - Shop wasn't even open. Wasted $30 commuting. 3rd visit - Windshield was installed in 1hr and 30min. Tech looks like he did a great job. Older man charged 320 plus tax which totals to 352. There's also a hidden service charge for credit card. I asked for the discount on the website, and he bumped it down. It cost me 340 for everything when it should have been 305. I could've gone down the street from my house, but I tried to save a couple bucks. Don't be fooled by a website thrown together quickly like me. Go to a better place. I WENT HERE SO YOU WON'T HAVE TO. Reponse: First of all I was not offered Zelle. Second of all the older man's english was not great. So i doubt you're him. He told me when to come back. I do not need to set an appt if he told me to come back a certain day.

Honest , quality, fast , and hard working is what id describe this place as . Called about a window replacement and they had me in the next day. Not only that but they gave me an accurate time estimate and had me in and out of the place within the hour originally estimated. The owner / manager was welcoming and wanted to give me the best price possible while still keeping his business a float. The mechanics themselves went above and beyond clearing all the glass from the inside of my car without me even having to ask. With all the break ins in the city this place has to be one shinning lights in the area as they're doing their best to help where they can. Would recommend this place to my friends, my family , or just a random stranger that needed something fixed. This place is great and I appreciate the work they do.

I needed my front windshield to be replaced. I looked around and Pelican Zone offered the lowest price. Based on the reviews, I went ahead and called to see if I can be serviced within the week. Sure enough, I was able to stop by the next day. The end product was great, but my qualms and reason for leaving 4 stars is because it seemed like the owner was a bit of a mess. I was told it shouldn't take no more than an hour half but ended up waiting 2 1/2 hours. Another lady showed up after me who was upset because she made an appointment and was told her windshield could be replaced in 30 mins, but they couldn't service her within that time, so she left. Despite my calling ahead, the owner went to get my windshield 30 mins after I had arrived, thus delaying my wait. I paid via credit card, so he had to input the price itself into the machine and accidentally charge $10 over, which isn't a problem for me as his price was still significantly less than any other shop I came across, so just be aware. Overall, the employee that replaced my windshield was really nice and did a wonderful job. Cant beat the price but I recommend dropping off your car and coming back at a later time if you have something to do.

Today I finally decided to replace my cracked windshield on my 2009 Ford F-150 pickup truck. This is the third time I have had to replace a windshield on this truck. I had vertical and horizontal cracks across the entire windshield. The cracks caused glare and impaired my vision. I have used Safelite on multiple occasions, but since I plan to sell my truck eventually I went with Pelican Zone Auto Glass. BOY DID I MAKE A GREAT DECISION! I saved more than $200 of my hard-earned money. The owner was very friendly and his installer is a third-generation EXPERIENCED auto glass technician. I am putting Safelite on notice, I am done paying for their fancy commercials!

Normally don’t post reviews, just get the service and go — but am making an exception for Pelican Zone. Ali and his team of installation technicians were top notch. The price was fair, the installation was quick, and all the workers were genuinely friendly while waiting at the shop. I called and asked for a quote and they asked me to stop by whenever was best FOR ME, which was a luxury I’ve never had before with a busy schedule — as long as you call and give a heads up for when you’re swinging by. My quote from Safelite was near 1100 dollars for a windshield replacement on my ‘23 civic sport.. Pelican Zone did it for less than half! And the installation was very well done. Only had to wait an hour. HUGE recommendation from me. 5 star service and price!

I can't delete this review so I had to edit it to reflect my situation. I had a bad experience with the social media page of this business which prompted me to write a negative review. I was contacted by the owner who informed me that he had no knowledge of the issue and that it was a new, rogue employee that had replied to me. He apologized, offered me a discounted price as a means of amends and rebuked the actions of that employee. I have not gotten an opportunity yet to actually work with the business but the owner informed me that customer service is his top priority, hence my edit of my review.
