Safe flight is possibly the worst company if not the worst the top five I’ve ever had to deal with. Number one I filed a claim to get a new windshield. The technician showed up did a terrible job installing and caused a total loss on my vehicle from the Port Charlotte office. Secondly, the office manager Would never return my calls after speaking with him. I’ve called corporate. They said to call the local office that did the install the local office of the did the install said to call corporate it is a giant carnival on the merry-go-round talking in circles getting nowhere. The only thing I can say is live with that chipped windshield because if you deal with this unprofessional company, you’ll have more than an eyesore. You’ll have a completely lost vehicle with no answers. If I could say one thing do everything in your power not to deal with Safelite they are disgusting and everything that is bad about big business.

First time tech showed up he said it might rain and I needed to reschedule. (It didn’t rain). So he rescheduled me for one day the following week. When no one showed up I called and was told that he didn’t reschedule it. Next appointment started off great. When tech was complete I got into car and the heads up display was very blurry and not straight. Coming tomorrow for another try. Well they came replaced glass for second time n heads up display was still blurry. I called them and suggested that they use the glass that GM uses. They started to tell me it was going to cost me about $200 and I stopped them and said go ahead and keep using different mfgs. A couple days later I got a call, manager I think, and said they would be using GM glass at no cost to me. He said he called the insurance company and explained the problem and they approved it. The GM glass was fine. I was appreciative that they went the extra mile to fix my problem. All is well that ends well. Thank you Safelite.

I am really starting to lose it with this store. This all started a year ago. I had my glass repaired after a rock hit it. The tech back then told me the fill would not last, and that I would need to have my windshield replaced. Well he was right, it started cracking again recently. So off to the Safelite in Port Charlotte. The first trip last week, the glass conveniently broke. So, they rescheduled. This second time (Monday September 16th 2024) they replaced the glass however they told me they couldn't calibrate the camera because ("according to the person at the front desk") the system bracket was installed crooked and that they needed to call my insurance company to get a new authorization, to order another piece of glass. BS! ( but this is not what the guy who called me said. He said they had done it.) It worked perfectly on the old windshield. So if the bracket was crooked it was something that the installer did in error. He told me I was incorrect. Really? But if it worked before you touched it.... I am still waiting for my car to be fixed. I now have an error message on my car and the safety features do not work at all and they are taking their time to get back to me.

Horrible job, I have a 2014 well kept Cadillac that I bought from one owner. I literally had a small crack literally the size of a pea and they decided to replace my entire windshield. I get home from work and there's black hand prints all over my steering while on the dashboard and sides of my car, totally no respect for someone's property. On top of them replacing my glass on my Cadillac it's also the wrong glass because they can't collaborate the sensor on the window because they got the glass from an after market place. Now they have to reorder a new glass from GM so that the glass can work with the sensors. I'm very upset with the service at Safelite Auto Glass in Port Charlotte. I will never ever use this place ever again nor would I recommend anyone to go here.

Scratched my hood. Scratched my A-pillar. Left old windshield adhesive debris all over the interior. Incorrectly reinstalled some exterior trim which I was fortunately able to correct. There are small ripples in the windshield, presumably because of the cheaper aftermarket, non-OEM parts. HUD not working correctly; they blame prior issues, but they don't get the benefit of the doubt given the other problems. I still need to confirm they installed the correct glass for use with the HUD (which is a different part number). I would never, ever return to this shop. Additionally, an acquaintance of mine had her windshield replaced here several weeks ago. They incorrectly reinstalled the A-pillar trim which flew off in the wind. They said it wasn't their fault/problem, and now she's out hundreds for overpriced dealership parts.

Our insurance company recommended them for our cracked windshield. From the moment we made contact and thru the work, they were professional and they surpassed our expectations by a hundred fold! The car has a camera in the windshield which had to be calibrated and they keep you informed of that process. At the end when they have completed the calibration and are satisfied with it, they give you a certificate to keep with the car as a carfax report will show that there was an insurance claim- so this certificate is very important for the resale of your vehicle. With all that, the process took only an hour and a half, with a nice waiting area. Our insurance paid for 100% of the work done. Car was clean, same condition we gave it to them. Super efficient- they use texting to keep you informed of the process and their status. Feeling pretty lucky to have them in Port Charlotte!
