I had a highly disappointing experience with Safelite that I feel compelled to share. On September 9th, I had my window replaced, which was not a cheap service, and immediately noticed significant defects, including visible scuffs and an improperly installed seal. When I reached out to the Wooddale location, the representative, Beverly, was dismissive and refused to accept any pictures of the issues. Instead, she insisted I bring my vehicle in for inspection on September 16th, canceling my prior appointment for a mobile technician on September 14th. When I brought my vehicle in on September 16th, I was promised that the window would be replaced, but to my dismay, it seemed they only replaced the seal and even touched up the window with a marker. There is still a gap in the seal on the outside, which adds to my frustration. After picking up my vehicle, I followed their advice to wait 72 hours before getting a car wash, only to discover water leaking from the newly installed rear window during the wash. This was especially aggravating given that I had adhered to their guidelines. I then visited a second Safelite location on September 28th, hoping to finally resolve these ongoing issues. The store manager there expressed annoyance at having to correct the mistakes made by the first location. While they did replace the window this time, I was disappointed that the first location had promised to do so during my previous visit but ultimately failed to follow through. The store manager informed me that due to them messing with the window multiple times, they had damaged the window motor, which means I haven’t been able to open that window since. To make matters worse, my truck bed cover, which is significantly more expensive than the window itself, was also damaged. It appears someone either sat on it or mishandled it, as it was bent and now doesn’t close properly. A bracket also fell off, indicating they must have been really rough with it. If they had simply asked me, I would have removed it before bringing my vehicle in. Due to rain, a significant amount of water got inside the back bed, adding to my frustration since the cover was functioning perfectly before the service. Throughout this ordeal, I had to take multiple days off work to address these issues, and despite all my efforts, they still cannot get it right. Each time I brought my vehicle in, I faced new problems and ongoing complications. Their workmanship has been shoddy at best; they did a poor job putting everything back together, including the clips and plastic covers inside and outside the vehicle. I also had to clean out glass shards left behind, which is unacceptable. I ended up cutting myself multiple times, and when I reported this, they brushed it off, saying it’s going to happen and they can’t get all the glass. The areas where glass was left behind were clearly reachable, yet it felt like they barely tried to clean it. I still find little pieces occasionally, and I worry that my young children might find one and hurt themselves.

They install the windshield, but broke my rear view mirror which costs about 900 bucks on Audi. In addition to what I said previously, They broke my vipers . They could not even ask me how to put them in upright position in order to service the windshield… They just broke the wipers!! Now the passenger side wiper does not work properly. That company made big money loss for me! They are not professional!! They replace your windshield and brake hundreds of dollars issues to your car!!!

Had an appointment I couldn't make at their Addison location for the following day. Called up wooddale location and asked if I could come in same day within a few hours of my my call. They got me in literally within 2 hours. The tech even came and got me and had me personally bring the car into the shop and park it because she didn't know how to drive stick. This alone let me know how much she was going to take care of my car during my service. Any employee could've seen a cool car and tried to drive it without properly knowing how to drive it. Tech got my windshield repaired, went over the repair and warranty with me and got me out within 30-45 minutes. It was great experience overall. God forbid something happens to the glass again, it's going right back to these guys.

Made an appointment online last night. Came in today for the appointment & was given the same quote I received online & told it'd be an hour and a half to 2 hours. Talked to the nice tech for a bit about what they'd be doing and their guarantee, was politely offered new windshield wipers and declined. Waiting area was a big spaced out area that appeared clean and had wipes all over for you to use. Ended up taking not even an hour and everything seems so far so good!

I cracked my windshield and this location was able to get me an appointment within 2 hours. The also took me in early! Flo, at the reception desk, was extremely helpful and had me contact my insurance so I didn't have to pay a thing. She was very informative and kind. Yati did the work on my car and was also professional and thorough. She answered all my questions and you can't even see there was ever a problem. I would highly recommend this location and team!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Safelite repair, Safelite replace & They come to you! My recommendation, however, is to go to one of their state-of-the-art glass facilities and enjoy some good coffee on the house while you watch through their large wall of safety glass viewing windows as the technician performs some glass magic on your ride! Forget the Bronze-Age and the Stone-Age, I'm so glad we're in the Glass-Age and Safelite's got us clean, clear, and under control. Thanks again!
