I went to Safelite to repair my back windshield. My windshield broke on a Friday night. The car was repaired on Tuesday since they needed to order the correct glass. I was advised during scheduling to bring my car in to be crash wrapped. Because it snowed, they were unable to put the hard plastic on. I was in a bind because I was going away Sat. Elizabeth at the front desk was awesome. She gave me the number to Enterprise and offered to let me leave my car there inside the garage to ensure safety and the earliest possible pick up. She also checked locally to see if any other shops had earlier availability. When I picked up the vehicle early afternoon, the tech showed me how he did his best to push out a dent I had in my door. Looks so much better. They were informative, personable, and did a great job. New glass at no cost through my insurance.

The woman at the front desk had a personality of a rock, and isn’t the ideal personality type to represent the face of the company, that’s my first impression, but maybe she cherry picks whom to be nice and approachable to. 🤷🏻♀️ Maybe she was just having a bad day. Whatever the case may be I was grateful when I returned to wait the last hour in the waiting room she was no longer working, and what I believe to be the owner was much more friendlier, warm and personable. Alejandro did a great job on my truck as far as I know. I was in no rush to leave but was told usually after installation we wait for 30 mins for the glue to set but that I would be fine. I’m hoping the glue stays put and is sealed correctly. So far I feel they did a great job.

I scheduled an appointment for one of my technicians 2 weeks prior for 9am. I called twice to confirm the appointment as well as the correct windshield and they confirmed both. My tech calls me at 11am stating they just pulled the van in 2 hours later (Why make an appointment in the first place). Safelite calls me and advised me they ordered the wrong windshield. Keep in mind i am a business, this van and tech are off the road this day not doing business. So at this point to be told they don't have the right windshield and we need to reschedule of course I am upset. I called to confirm twice and they did confirm. Safelite calls me a day later and has the same no care attitude with nothing to say, no apology, no answer, only "I dont know". A company that only does windshields and cant even order (also said they confirmed) the correct windshield as well as late appointment type is VERY concerning. Hoping someone can reach out and make this right. 9/18/24: After the message i got back in February to call and they will take care of me nothing happened. I called and NOTHING was done for me. Since then I have needed a few more chips repaired (Keep in mind we are a mobile company so I go through many windshields issues a year unfortunately). I figured since going into the Safelite shop is an issue I will set up for them to come to my techs home to repair the glass. Both appointments there was ZERO communication, no one showing up and no accountability. It got to the point where the reginal manager reached out after I called and asked to escalate this. He got back to me a week late, asked for the work order numbers and I gave them to him. I have not heard since. SUPER DISAPPOINTING, as a business owner, i get back to each customer within 24 hours, ALWAYS! I just tried the Nashua Safelite and they were awesome. My techs went to the shop and waited only 5 minutes. Great communication, overall an awesome experience. So to end this, DO NOT USE THE CHELMSFORD SAFELITE. Go to the Nashua one. I hope this helps people and is a learning experience for this poor excuse of a location and learn to treat customers better.

We really appreciated the communication and updates we received before, during and after the service. We were confident that we knew what what happened with our vehicle every step of the way... and they finished early! The finished product looks great! We had the back glass replaced which required us to replace the sliding glass, the defroster element and more. Safelite did a great job and would highly recommend. Thanks Safelite! This was the Chelmsford, MA location.

This location at drum hill should be avoided at all costs. The technician replaced my windshield on my 2013 acura tsx the week I bought it used, broke all my oem trim and glued it down. It began to fall off the car and it took 2 weeks to get ahold of management and replace it, they replaced the trim and I come to find my headliner soaked in water with the spring rain. Had no luck trying to call this location to fix the issue, so I called another location without any issue, and they sent someone to fix it and they found THREE LEAKS. the quality of work is totally unacceptable, luckily I had a good Technician fix the issue for me but don't give this location your time or money. They will do a poor job and ignore your calls when you have problems and you will have problems. I never leave a bad review but this place earned it, and they gave me wipers that would fail nh state inspection for streaking. Unacceptable poor craftsmanship, and I work with cars every day. Avoid at all costs.

Went to have a cracked windshield replaced based on the good reviews for this location. All was going well, but the tech left a gap between the windshield and the side. Now, since the siding mold was poorly fitted, rain water is now leaking through into the hood of my car. This was for both lower right and left corners of the front windshield sidings… went back right away, but the location was closed a few hours before the stated hours of operation. Called customer service and could not reach anyone since they do not provide 24/7 support. Afterwards, read other customer’s experience with Safelite and found a lot of horror stories. I mean a lot of horror stories. I recommend saving yourself a world of pain by avoiding these guys at all cost. For your money, health and peace of mind. Going here is the fastest way to your own grave. I decided to resolve faulty work on my own and invest the money elsewhere for my own sake.
