I own a taxi tab company, and it's been a while and I just haven't addressed this. Had a window replaced in the 2011 Santa Fe Hyundai I picked it up. And I immediately noticed that the windshield was absolutely covered with specs. I got out a bottle of one decks and a RAG and trying to clean it. I couldn't remove a single one I went inside and I told the representative and they advised me that all of their windows go through an inspection process before they're released for sale. I said, maybe, but this one day is defective. And I paid full price, and I expect a quality window. Finally, I convinced him to come out and look and he saw the specs, and he tried to remove them and he couldn't, and he scheduled the car for a window replacement. Now when my employee takes it in for replacement. They say they're not going to do it. I couldn't see any problem with the window. I asked them if they took it out in the sunlight, because that's when you see it and they said no, and I asked them, would you please and they said no. I absolutely cannot believe that safelite would sell such a defected window and be happy with it. I contacted there corporate office, and they assured me all of these different things and said that the window would be replaced. Then they come back and tell me that the district representative is the one that refused to replace it, and there was nothing they could do to override them. However, we will take your information and take it up the ladder and see what we can do. Well, never heard back today is the first time I've driven that car. And the specs are very distracting, I urge each and every one of you to find another place to do business. I assure you I will never by another auto glass from them, and over the years, I'm probably over 10 In fair ranks you replace windowsServicesAuto power window repairPrice assessmentOverpriced

In early May of this year I was referred to safelite by my insurance company to have my windshield repaired on my FJ cruiser. Upon picking my truck up after the replacement, my husband inspected the windshield and noticed that the panels surrounding my windshield were loose, the paint on the panels sounding my windshield were scratched, and there were 6 dents on my roof surrounding the panels that hold my windshield in. My husband brought it to the managers attention and he told my husband that the paint was like that when we bought it to him, the dents were not done by him, and the panels were broken due to the installation being difficult. The manager told my husband he would order parts from Toyota to have the panels replaced. Months went by with no contact so my husband went back to the store and the manager then told my husband that the panels were broken from his “ shirt getting caught on them during removal “. I ended up taking my truck to a collision repair shop to get a second opinion, they told me that the type of damage that was done to my truck was indeed done during the replacement, including the scratches on my paint, and quoted to damage at over $3,000. ( my roof will have to be replaced due to dents, my panels will have to be repainted, clips will have to be replaced , as well as other repairs ) I contacted the safelite store again today, ( august 9, 2021 ) and he told me that he was “Just about to give me a call today “ which I knew was a lie because it’s been over 3 months since the incident happened. I proceeded to ask for a corporate phone number and an email to his head boss… he gave me a nonexistent email address and I am unable to get in contact with anyone via the corporate phone number that I’ve been trying to reach out to. I’m BEYOND frustrated with the service I have received from them and I honestly think they shouldn’t be working on people’s cars if they’re going to damage them and then lie about it.NegativeQuality, ProfessionalismServicesAuto windshield replacement

I brought two vehicles in for chip repairs. They cracked both windshields during the repair process. My insurance did not cover any of the replacement cost based on my deductible, so I had to pay for both replacements out of pocket. I brought one of those vehicles back again due to a whistling sound from the new windshield, which they replaced under warranty. I still have yet to get my safety cameras aligned after that replacement, which will cost me $75 and my car has no crash prevention features in the meantime. All for a couple easy chip repairs.

Today I had Safelite Auto come out to my house to fix a chip in my windshield. When I left to run errands I asked if I needed to stay, the tech stated no and she would leave the receipt on my seat. When I returned home I went to go look at my windshield. There was now a 2 inch crack and the chip was still there, not fixed. I never received from the tech stating they damaged my windshield. I called Safelite auto and spoke with a gentleman there, when I was explaining what had happened, the guy I was speaking with cut me off before I could finish and said " Didn't you sign a waiver" I told him well no, my husband did. He said " Well this sometimes happens, and thats the risk you run doing this service". There was no apology, no offer of solution, nothing. When I brought up the fact my husband signed the waiver for my car I did not so the waiver should be voided he said " Well, I will have to have someone call you back". I then a few hours later called Safelite back after not getting a call and spoke with the Manager. The manager wasn't very much help either. She was not offering ANY solutions, other then they could refund my insurance company and then they could create a new claim to have my windshield completely replaced, and that would only happen after I pay my $500 deductible. I then told her that the crack they created was 2 inches and I read they can fix cracks up to 6inches. Only then she offered to have the same tech who has previously cracked my windshield come out and try to fix my windshield again. BUT she could crack it more and then it would have to be replaced. I declined further service from Safelite and called my insurance company and will be going through a different glass company to fix what Safelite did. SO not only did Safelite make my window shield worse, they were completely rude and seemed ONLY concerned about the waiver, they then only offered a solution after I prompted them to do so. So my ADVICE would be to not go through Safelite, they do not stand by there work, but if you do go through Safelite do not sign the waiver. UPDATE: the owner of the store below that commented didn’t address AGAIN the costumer service. Just essentially said we can try to fix it. Go through a company who can do better then a “maybe”, check out this companies Facebook reviews also before choosing this company

Appointment was at 3 and I was told my truck would be done in an hour and a half, but it took 2hrs and 45min before I was completed. Hard to find good service in Fairbanks...someone please prove me wrong! UPDATE: Driver side gutter molding now missing, called and was told they would schedule me a warranty appointment. Had to go in to talk to the manager and he sent the tech out to tell me that it was missing when it got there but his pre-inspection photos didn't show that part of the vehicle (even though the tech said it was missing) he chose not to get it in the photo. The manager made a note to order me a new one...instead of actually ordering me a new one. Guess we'll see...

I came here as a recommended shop by my insurance. I was assured by not only my insurance company but by their bigger store in Anchorage who handled the appointment scheduling that I was going to be taken care of by their professional staff. They replaced my rear window that was severely damaged due to unknown reasons but did not manage to fully fall. I get crash wrap installed by this shop to prevent the rear window from fully falling apart. I decide to vacuum my car about 2 weeks, give or take, after this appointment because gravel gets everywhere and that’s when I discovered that the rear part of my truck, in between the cab and bed, and bed of my truck (there was very little in the bed) LITTERED with glasses pieces. Especially the rear seat area. It is outlined in the Safelite website that “The technician will clean all of the windows and vacuum any broken glass out of your vehicle.” I am disappointed that they let me leave their shop with glass littered everywhere. I have photographic and video proof of the before and after. What’s more is that I did not park my truck in my garage at all while I waited for the appointment. I even took the shops advice and didn’t drive my car until the appointment to avoid further damage to the rear window. Now, I discovered glass on the floor of my garage as well. Which further leads me to believe that not a single effort was made to clean up after their work. I understand if they cleaned and advised me that a small amount of debris may uncover itself the more I drive the truck. But the amount of glass I found is NOT indicative of that. Shame on me for not checking this before hand and believing that this shop would take care of me. Here’s to hoping that no short cuts (because no effort was made to clean up after their work) were taken in the install of the rear window that would compromise the interior cab of my truck. 10/10 would NOT recommend taking your car here and CHECK the quality of their working ESPECIALLY the clean up if you do. Lastly, I cleaned up all of the glass myself (hopefully I got most of it) and have all the fragments in my shop vac.
