Worst experience ever! Went in for a small chip in driver's side wide. I show up 20 minutes early to the appointment, they took it in 35 minutes late only to then take 4 hour to break my truck. The tech broke the mechanical system which raises and lowers the window, tried to return the truck knowing it was broken. Discovering this as I drove off I instantly pulled back into the parking lot, before I could say what was happening they knew and said we have to order a part. I then called corp. requesting to use another location and Wakefield the order for fixing my truck delaying the repair, although I was told that the part was on order and would just be sent to another location. Oh yah and in the mean time thier "temporary repair" was to stick a bar in my door, which lasted less then 5 hours before the window drop down into the door resulting in me driving around with an open window and inability to secure my vehicle. Would not use the Wakefield location if they paid me to!

Do not use Safelite. My rear windshield shattered and I had them replace it. They have caused more damages and issue by completed botching the repair. I’ve had two trim pieces brake and fall off, my back windshield wiper fell off, all from neglectful care. It’s taken months for me to have this issue resolved and when you call no one knows how to assist and transfers you around. I was on the phone with them for two hours and was transferred to a total of 6 people. I’ve resorted to dming them on Instagram to receive any type of response at all. The damage they have caused has cost more than the additional windshield repair. I have a beautiful new car that they have completely ruined and caused me a world of headache. Please do not use and go somewhere where they take care of your vehicle with vigilant care!!!!

I would not recommend bringing your vehicle to the shop for repairs due to lack of attention to detail. I brought my 2022 Hyundai Ionic 5 there for a simple windshield replacement. The appointment was scheduled for 3 hours of time. The car ended up staying at the shop for 3 days because they could not figure out how to get the vehicles self-driving centers to recalibrate. They only admitted this to me after I pushed them on the subject. I agreed with them that they wouldn't charge me for the calibration and I would take it to the Hyundai dealer and have them do it. The shop would have gotten four stars if it were not for one big mistake. When I left the shop and turned on my windshield wipers they only came halfway up the windshield and then violently smashed down into the tray below the hood. You would think for having the car for 3 days they would double check that all the mechanical systems work. But nope. They didn't check to be sure the wipers were working correctly. I understand that they couldn't get their computers talking to the car to recalibrate the self-driving system. That's understandable and they managed it well. But sending a car out without double-checking something as basic as windshield wiper travel, totally unacceptable.

It was an easy seamless process. Making the appointment was trivial. I didn't have to go through my insurance agent or contact my insurance company. Hardest thing I had to do was look up my insurance account number. The day of the appointment dropped the car off, walked down the street, had lunch, read a book at the town library until you called, walked back, picked the car up, and then went home. As hassle free as I could imagine. It was the second time I have used Safelite if I have a third need of a windshield replacement I'll be back at Safelite.

I wish I would've read these other reviews before I took my car in for service to this shop. One morning, I showed up with a shattered into small pieces (literally -and you'll later see why this is important) window, and the receptionist was kind enough to schedule me for service for 2 days later and wrap my window frame with adhesive plastic before I left. While reviewing the job estimate, I notice that they're charging $39.99 for "RECYCLE FEE", and ask the receptionist about what are they planning on recycling if I no longer have a physical window, but rather just glass crumbs. He says that he understands, but that "the system" wouldn't allow him to change that, and that instead of recycling, that fee would take care of "cleaning the small pieces of glass off my car and vacuum EVERYTHING out". Ok... I'm not happy with it, though I find it somewhat reasonable. On the day the work was done, and once I'm checking my car before leaving the shop I realize that there are pieces of glass everywhere in the car (floor, seats, between the new window and window frame trimming crevices, and behind the door panel). When I complain about this, the receptionist tells me that what he had promised was that "they would try to clean as much as they could but not everything", well that's rich, I said out loud while trying to be polite. I tell him that, this is not what they said 2 days prior but realized there was nothing to be done in my favor anymore. Though, I wouldn't be writing this, already, long review if it wasn't for the following. While I was speaking with the receptionist, the technician who worked on my car opened a glass door between the shop floor and the office, leans in and starts arguing with me and calling me a liar when I said that: if you removed the door panel to install the new window you could've cleaned the glass debris while you had that open. He didn't agree with that and said: "THAT'S NOT TRUE". At that moment, I realized I was done there, turned my back on the individual, paid the invoice and left. I'm not going to tell you not to bring your car here, but, what I can tell you confidently is, that unless you need a glass shop that's really close to the highway, there are higher quality and more affordable service shops in the same area which won't impose phony "RECYCLE" fees on you, and also don't employ disrespectful and unprofessional staff. P.S.: the window was installed incorrectly and I have to bring the car back.NegativeQuality, Professionalism, Value

I have used this company for the last twenty five years, that being said, I will NOT being going back. I went in on Monday to schedule an appointment, for a cracked windshield. I was told by two employees, that the repair may leave a 'slight wavy appearance'. I said that this was fine, as the crack was not in my direct line of vision. I was also told that this would take twenty minutes, their website also states twenty minutes, for repair. I entered the shop at 7:50 for my 8:00 appointment. They took my vehicle promptly at 8:00. I was the first customer of the day and in the bay. Forty minutes later, they were done. I got in my vehicle and the crack looks no different. I spoke with the tech, he said that sometimes happens but the crack shouldn't spread any more. Don't waste my time, if I had been told that it doesn't always work, I wouldn't have waited two days for a 'maybe' fix. I'm furious and will not be back!
