Had a windshield replaced on my brand new truck after it got hit be a rock. Appoint making was easy. Service was prompt. I was charged about $40 more than I was quoted on the phone, but that was fine. About a day after leaving, the piece that clips to the mirror and hides the wires fell and had a gluey substance that looked a lot like the glue they use on the windshield. After cleaning up the mess that it made, it took the piece inside to see why it was glued. The tabs were broken. Rather than tell me, they attempted to glue it and cover up their mistake. This is terrible and speaks poorly of the staff hired. I am not upset that it broke. It’s a $7 part. It’s a plastic clip, and that can happen, I get that. I am upset that the wrong tool was used to pry it off, seems like a screwdriver was jammed in there based on the scratches that I now have on the mirror housing. I am upset that when I tried to contact that store, get transferred right over to safelite main number. I am upset that customer care never answered, after trying several times. I am upset that after reaching out to support, no one got back to me. That is poor service. I have over 3 weeks for someone to contact me before I posted this review. I am most upset that someone on the team damaged my vehicle and then tried to cover it up. That is terrible customer service. I will not be doing work with Safelite any longer. Especially this location. Extremely dissatisfied with the customer support and integrity of the team at this location.

UPDATE: Owner responded here, but still no response from my multiple calls and emails to the Reisterstown location; this response what just a checkbox for them. At this point the safelite helpdesk has reached out to the District Manager in an attempt to have my care clean of all the glass as the local shop has been unresponsive. UPDATE2: After getting in contact with the District Manager I finally received a response. Safelite paid a 3rd party company to clean my car. ORIGINAL: I was on a call when he finished, so I looked that the new window was in and said Okay. I mean this is Safelite a national company, I am sure it is all good. I did not drive the car for a few days, but when I got in I was FLOOR to find glass everywhere. On the dash, the console, the carpet, the seats, IN THE VENTS!!! How did a small crack in the glass turn into such a large mess that was not cleaned up. The only way to get this all cleaned will be to have my car professionally detailed, which will cost me a couple hundred.ServicesAuto windshield replacement

I wish I could give 0 stars. They cut the wire for my remote start on my truck and it I was glued into the window when the new one was installed. I was told that they do not repair damage to the vehicle because of policy. They would remove the window again and remove the wire from the epoxy but would not pay to have the wire replaced. I was told that having a after market remote start wire running up the A pillar and tucked in the head liner isn't something they look out for. I don't understand why that question wasn't asked to begin with. If that was a problem, unplugging the wire and setting it aside would have been very easy to do. Hopefully they make that part of the questioning before hand in the future. I should have read all the other reviews before doing business with them. Also the new antenna wire was $10 plus install. I can't imagine labor would have been that much. I will say they were polite and on time with the appointment and the job was done in a timely manner.

Absolutely, for any reason, do not take your vehicle to these crooks. They'll break your car, do shoddy work, and stick you with the bill. I was without my vehicle for 5 WEEKS due to a faulty sensor that required me to take my vehicle to two different dealers to get resolved. I was NOT fully reimbursed for my headaches, still have a mess and broken trim pieces to replace on the vehicle, and still not certain that all the electrical issued caused are fully resolved. If your insurance sends you here, good luck. You'd be better off paying out of pocket at the dealer for it to be done right the first time.

BOTCHED INSTALLATION - NO OFFER TO REMEDIATE I’m writing at 4:40pm on a Tuesday. They’re supposed to be open until 5. I came back here to speak with a manager but apparently they closed early. Was here nine months ago for a standard cracked windshield replacement on a Tundra. I was the last appointment (lesson learned, don’t do that again). 1. Installers cut the microphone for my aftermarket CarPlay radio, it was installed under the driver side A-pillar. Said it was my fault for not having it installed better. I lived with the issue until now, since I’m back in the area. 2. Excess glue left all over interior after they replaced. 3. Exterior windshield combing not installed properly. Is hanging loose. They were rushing to leave that day and I’m still paying for the rushed job. Would really appreciate it if someone responds with a solution since nobody is here at published working hours.

I would not recommend. The shop did not ensure that my rearview mirror was securely attached to the windshield. I could see it rattling every time I looked out of it while driving. I thought maybe there was some adhesive that needed to dry. The following day I was driving on the highway and my rearview mirror fell off! I called the shop immediately afterwards when I got home and got a customer service line saying that business hours are M-F 9-5. It was a Saturday when the rearview mirror fell off. I left a message for a call back and no one has returned my call yet. I called today and received the same automated recording. I finally got a human and the next available appointment to look at the rearview mirror isn’t until Wednesday from 1-6 pm. Am I supposed to not drive until then to make sure it’s a fixed properly? People have jobs and don’t have time to sit around and wait for a mistake on their part. The price definitely wasn’t worth the labor cost if the technician can’t secure a mirror to windshield. And they want to charge $69.95 for some wiper blades. Good luck in an emergency if the something happens to the windshield and there’s the warranty on it. I
