5/6 - showed up at the scheduled appointment time and was told that the new windshield had arrived damaged. I was told this after sitting in the lobby for 1.5 hours. I scheduled a new appointment while at the shop for 5/8. I showed up for my new appointment. They brought my car into the bay. 1 hour later I was told that the new windshield had not arrived. If you don't have the part in at least tell me when I show up. Don't make me sit there for 1 hour plus just to tell me that you don't have the parts to perform my scheduled repair. While I was sitting in the shop I heard them tell two other people that they didn't have the required parts. So far I have made two trips and spent 2.5 hours at the shop and absolutely nothing has been done.

We did not have a good experience with Safelite and will try another company the next time we need windshield repair. We scheduled an appointment online and the store called to tell us that my car needed to be brought in to the shop because my car model can't be worked on at my house. That's fine. We rescheduled to the day recommended by the store, and they told us to drop the car off before 9 am so the car would be ready by 5:30 pm. We dropped the car off around 8 am. They told us they misquoted us and it would be $50 more because of additional fees not listed online. The store told us we'd get a call when our car was finished. We Ubered to work and we waited. Around 4 pm, we hadn't heard anything, so we called the store. It directs you to a call center. The call center tried to get a hold of the local store and couldn't. At 5 pm, we Ubered to the store, hoping to find something out and worried that the store might be closed. The gentleman at the front desk confirmed that because they were busy, it would be another couple of hours before the car was finished. They had just pulled the car in to be worked on. We waited, and they completed the repair around 5:45 pm. I'm disappointed in the lack of communication and the poor scheduling. We were not kept updated. We spent over $70 on Ubers back and forth. I see the employees working furiously to complete and impossibly overbooked schedule, and I also see customer after customer coming in expecting their vehicle to be finished and being told it hasn't been started on. The staff were friendly and apologetic, but the egregious scheduling turns me completely off from Safelite.

I recently brought my vehicle in for a rock chip repair, expecting much better results than what I received. Unfortunately, the finished product looks worse than the original damage, which is incredibly disappointing. Before dropping off the vehicle, I called (301) 645-8833—the number listed by Safelite, which states, “We’re not happy unless you’re happy.” However, the representative I spoke to tried calling the Waldorf location twice with no success. The calls were ignored. I then contacted the main customer care line at 1-800-638-8958, and they also attempted to reach the location but couldn’t get anyone on the phone. The customer care agent has since emailed the store to request a refund on my behalf and cc’d both the district and regional managers. At this point, I am waiting for my refund so I can put it toward replacing the entire windshield, since the repair work was unsatisfactory. This is actually the second time I’ve had issues with this particular location. My girlfriend previously had her windshield replaced here, and the first installation was crooked to the point where the VIN was no longer visible. They had to completely remove and reinstall the windshield to fix it. Based on these experiences, I cannot recommend the Waldorf Safelite location. I now travel 45 minutes to a different Safelite just to avoid the poor customer service and low-quality work at this store.

Had my glass replaced and wipers January 22nd 2025. It was a seamless experience at first. Took maybe an hour or two max. But after driving around for 26 days with new windshield and calibrated cameras. The cameras went off code. It enabled my safety features as I am using and driving down the road. It’s not just a light that goes off. It may and warnings popping up in the dash. So I made another appointment asap. You get a lifetime warranty on glass. But 30 days on camera calibration. So I made it back within 30 days. Feb 20. It threw many dt or dts codes all camera related. Very nice ppl who worked on my car. Kinda of hesitant a bit. Not sure if it meant anything or was telling me more that he should. But overall he cleared codes and testing out again. Windshield is not original dealer. With that being said. If cameras and I can see bevels in the windshield. Why can’t calibration be past 30 days. I can understand if it’s a windshield from OEM. But since it’s not. For everyone safety. Why not allow a 90 allowance. If any time limit needs to be. Good company overall still. Just cautious about the setup now. Even the worker said I may need to get another windshield from OEM. Especially if this round fails. The only reason it’s not five stars is because of the risk factor of safety still.

A mobile technician came to my home and told me a repair couldn’t be done so it would need to be replaced because I need the damage not to be visible because the rock hit right in my sight line. The technician told me my $158 prepaid repair fee would be refunded. Went to my appointment and I was quoted $876 for the replacement. They charged me $1034.00. I was later told that the $158.00 wasn’t supposed yo be refunded. I was never told this at the facility. I found out when the receipt was emailed to me. The replacement seems to have been done well so far but my experience was not great. I would most likely not recommend after this because of the poor communication.

Safelite Crain Highway Waldorf MD In all I basically had four appointments. The first appointment the technician did not seal the glass correctly or put the molds back around it but tried to send me on my way. I complained to the front and another tech came out who took pictures and told me to return Monday. I returned just to be told I needed to make an appointment because they were short staffed. Made another appointment just to be told that the appointment was made incorrectly, the glass wasn’t there and they didn’t know how long it would take the warehouse to bring one over but for my inconvenience I could get some windshield wipers (what a joke) Made the last appointment where finally the windshield was installed but no wipers. Bad thing is they don’t even have a manager at the store you can talk to. If you have to go to Safelite(Waldorf) might want to make sure they are fully staffed, a manager is on site, inspect your replacement thoroughly!!!
