Never using Safelite ever again. I first scheduled the appointment for 10/05/2024. The day of the appointment I got a message that we would have to postpone due to the piece of glass they received being scratched. So I postponed it to 10/11. Dropped the vehicle first thing in the morning and by 2PM it was still not done. My wife dropped me off as she had an appointment close to their location. It was then explained to me that they were having issues recalibrating the windshield sensors. They needed to run an update on their software and they could try it again on Monday 10/14. So I said OK. When I left their shop I noticed that they apparently ended up cutting the A-Pillar alcantara trim in several spots. I then brought the vehicle back on Monday, showed to them the damage and waited to see if they could get it programmed. Once again Safelite was not able to. I then scheduled an appointment with the local dealership and had the car reprogrammed with no trouble on 10/17 Today, 10/25/2024 I brought the car back to have the A-Pillar trim replaced. A 30 minute job ended up taking 1 hour and a half. The only thing that Safelite offers as a competitive advantage is price. When it comes to total cost when you factor in how much time I have wasted with this entire process, it would have been better for me to have taken it to the dealer...

This company is ridiculous. Go online for a quote they email you the most confusing "paperwork" quote. You CAN NOT talk to a human. I have a very simple question about a chip in glass that isn't in their robot system. Say yes to anything to try & get a human & their 2nd question is, how are you going to pay. You have lost a customer, I'll warn everyone I know what a pain it is & to go somewhere else. Good customer service isnt a robot saying i dont know over & over, it has a warm voice on the other end of the line ready to answer a simple 5 word question.

Updated Review: I recently had another van in for glass replacement and recalibration. The process once again went very smoothly and would highly recommend their work. I have nothing but good things to say about the Safelite AutoGlass in Lee's Summit. I had a complicated installation and recalibration on my van and they went above and beyond to get it done correctly. They kept me informed during the whole process and made the whole thing work very smoothly for me. Highly recommended.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

Time will tell if the windshield repair was solid however the rest of my experience was unsatisfactory. The service did not start on my truck until 2 hours and 50 minutes after I dropped it off at my scheduled (for weeks) appointment time. I understand unforeseen things can happen but there was zero update from Safelite outside of the text that told me they were just getting started. I had to reread it as that was the approximate time the job was to be completed. The second phase of the frustration was calling the "local" number for Safelite. It went to a call center and I was put into an eternal queue. No one answered for 30 minutes so I drove my other vehicle to the Safelite shop and confirmed they were indeed running 3 hours late on my repair. No one even offered an apology. I was just told that things were hectic at their shop that morning. Horrible customer service. My insurance company sent me to Safelite. I will see if there is any other company I can use should I need to use my glass protection coverage again in the future.

What went from a small dot to just about an 8in crack within a matter of hours sent me into the Lee's Summit location to get a glass replacement. From the moment I walked in Drake made me feel welcomed by offering beverages and even the office to use to work, despite them having individual work desks in the lobby. This was particularly refreshing especially from some of the stressful tasks that coincide with my work. I was so impressed I got Drake to tell me a local pizzeria he liked around and his favorites so I could order for "my team" when really it was for the Safelite guys. I decided to not wait around for the delivery and about 15min after I left I got the delivered notification but I know the confusion/realization moment was awesome for Drake and the guys.

The guys who work here are super nice and professional, but they said they would be unable to replace my windshield due to some accidend damage. The guys said it would instantly crack again. I had a couple friends with experience in auto glass look at it, and they both said it was replaceable. Had a small local outfit do it instead for less money. He had the job done in 30 mins and said he had no issues. Its been in for almost a week with no issues. *update* my windshield has been in for several months now and zero issues. Not sure what the deal was here
