Here’s a timeline of my experience with this company. Tuesday - I notice a large crack on my windshield and call safelite because they’re the funny jingle people and the advertising worked. I get a fair quote and I’m able to easily set an appointment for Thursday between 12pm and 5pm Thursday - 5pm passes and I have received no communication from safelite so I text the number provided and they instruct me to call the store, and if that doesn’t yield results, to call the number I was texting to get in touch with a support agent. I call the store and nobody answers (this makes sense as it’s after business hours) so I call the support number and they say the tech is probably still running their route and will contact me when they’re heading my way. I receive no further communication from safelite for the remainder of the day. Friday - 10am I call the store and they inform me that the tech reached out to let me know it would have to be rescheduled (I received no such communication) and I’m told the earliest they can perform the replacement is more than a week from today, which is after the start of an event for which I need a flawless windshield. Furthermore they state that the windshield has to be ordered. My complaint is that the communication with this company has been sparse, and inconsistent. If the windshield had to be ordered, then why would they allow me to schedule an appointment for a day before they can get the windshield? Had I been presented this information I would have gone a different direction from the start, instead safelite decided to waste 2 and a half days of my time I could otherwise have spent solving my issue. TLDR: Poor and inconsistent communication lead to a lot of wasted time. Choose a different company for your windshield needs.

Im a very busy small business owner, with a very bad cracked windshield on my F-250. I knew i needed a new windshield and i just wanted the work to be done right with high quality parts and service. I was contacted the day before to confirm my appointment by the receptionist, as well as contacted by the service tech Richard. Richard even let me know when he would be there even 30 minutes prior to being at my shop. He walked me through what i ordered, i handed him the keys and walked away. I had him do the new windshield, wiper blades, and glass weather treatment. Overall my experience was over the top, if i could hire Richard for my own company i would hands down. - for everyone wondering why i went with the most expensive company is because im paying for service, quality, experience. Dont go cheap and have your buddies friend do it for 250$ spend the extra $ and be happy someone cared enough about your problem and made it right!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

I had a rock fly up and hit my windshield leaving a chip... Little did I know that a car wash makes a chip a crack and what's worse is that I didn't realize the car wash was causing the crack and I went back again... urgh... Now I had a serious crack across the entire windshield that needed to be addressed sooner than later. I started gathering quotes on the internet and although I found some slightly lower prices a friend suggested I go with SafeLite, so I did... From the call prior to arrival to the end of the transaction I couldn't have been more pleased with my decision to go with Safelite. The installer, Charles, was professional, informative and kind. It was a perfect transaction and I highly recommend SafeLite...

Customer Service for Safelite varies from one person to the next. Customer with one individual was great. The rest seem questionable. My replacement windshield installation was fine. However, the tech the did not reassemble my vehicle back to the way it was before the replacement. I went to thier location, and was told that my parts were ordered. Went up to Westport Saturday to check if the parts came in, and they have not. Went up there next Saturday to change my appointment to Friday 11/13. Interactions went fine. Today, I get a voice mail saying that they will call when the parts come in, and will reschedule the appointment then, however they can not give me an ETA on when that might occur. I just need to wait until I get a call. I believe I should have been given at least an ETA, I would feel like the company is at least working to resolve the issue one of thier employees did when working on my vehicle. It's thier employees workmanship the reason I'm up there asking them to resolve the issue. Put the vehicle's back the way they were before you mess with them. If communication changes, from Safelite perspective and makes me feel that they actually care about their customers then I'll change this rating. Otherwise, I'm forced to keep as a one start rating and can not recommend. This is an update, it's June 13th, 2025 and my warranty service has still not been addressed. This had been going on since 2024. I'm not able to recommend this Safelite as a whole. I have changed my review as I stated I would after my vehicle as been resolved. And increased my rating. My rating now is a reflection of the Westport location in St. Louis, MO. I will not hold the rest of the locations or company to accountable for how Westport location functions. However my vehicle has been "fixed", and will not take that away. However, it could not be repaired the way it should have been due how the first technician replaced the windshield.

This Safelite has no consideration for their customers. My car was impacted by the May 16 tornado and the very next day the car was towed to the shop. My windshield and all the glass on my drivers side was impacted. My original appt to get the glass replaced was May 29th. On May 29th, Satellite automatically gave my appt away due to all the glassware not being in. This was done without speaking to or even asking me!!! At this point I had not had a car for 2 weeks, and did not understand why Satellite couldn't put in 4/5 of the pieces of glass they had and I could drive around the vehicle until the one missing piece came in. When I asked them to do this Satellite refused to until I got insurance involved and had the piece completely removed from the order. From May 29 they reschedule my appt for June 9. On June 9th I get a call from the technician stating the vehicle is ready for pick up. Only 2 out of the 5 glass panels were installed on June 9th—more than three weeks after my car was towed to the shop—due to the initial order containing incorrect parts for my vehicle.THE GLASS SAT THERE FOR WEEKS AND NO ONE THOUGHT TO CHECK AND CONFIRM THEY ARE THE CORRECT PIECES. When I brought this to the technicians attention he informed me he can get the pieces in and placed on June 11 June 11. I texted the technician on June 11 to see if my car was ready, which he responded with yes. When I got to the Safelite my car still just had 2 out of the 5 pieces replaced. At this point I am angry because why did I just take an uber to satellite for my car not to be ready. The technician RYAN admitted he made a mistake by letting me know the car was ready prematurely. My car finally gets fixed on June 13- after I ordered and dropped off a part, without a car. LESS THAN A WEEK LATTER MY WINDSHEILD CRACKED AND SAFELITE REFUSED TO FIXED IT. When I got it replaced at the different shop, that actually knew what they were doing, they informed me that the person who put on the previous windshield did not do a good job. These people do not care about your family or your life. Save your time, money and LIFE and take your car somewhere else. It takes 40 minutes to get anyone on the phone to get updates about your car, they take weeks to fix your car, and they do an awful job.

This will be my last time I will be using safelight to replace my windshield. Minus the windshield being installed correctly they did a horrible job. As you can see from the pictures, the technician left an absolute mess on the dash board, failed to clean the inside of the windshield after it was installed, got grease on the door handle, and left an old part on the driver side floor board. He also scratched the inside of my A post, which now has to be replaced. I went through my insurance company to have the windshield replaced and provided safe light with my claim number. I was told by Safelight I was only responsible for paying my $250 deductible. However, after the work was completed safelight instead charged me $962. Not sure why it’s so hard for people to do their jobs correctly anymore, but will never use this company again.
