I scheduled Safelite in Nixa, MO to fix a chip in my windshield on April, 22nd 2025. They were scheduled between 8am-Noon. Red Flag #1. They called me saying they had vehicle trouble and if I could bring the vehicle to them after having the repair scheduled at my place of employment. Red Flag #2. Gary Warren (the technician who is a very nice fellow) shows up and I believed he felt rushed. Red Flag #3. I was quoted roughly 40mins for the repair he said he finished in less than 10mins. Red Flag#4. The chip repair was botched. It has now been three weeks and I can still feel the chip and now I see a line forming. Red Flag #5. After the poor job was completed, he ran my card and said it was declined because it was his machine or something to that regard. I get a call from bank alerting me to a fraud detection. My card was placed on hold because safelite had tried to bill me 5 or 6 times. The issue was Gary Warren was putting in the month of April and this year as the expiration date on my card instead of the correct expiration date. I had to call safelite and get this resolved on my own. I am very disappointed in the work and my overall experience with them. I felt as if my chip repair was rushed and not given a fair attention that i was billed for.

I showed up 20 minutes early to the appointment for a windshield replacement. In the first hour I waited, I watched several people come in, have their windshield replaced and leave. After waiting an hour and a half after my appointment, I check to see my car still sitting untouched, where I parked it. An hour later, it was finally in the repair bay. I scheduled an appointment, and let them know I was waiting. I had to drive over an hour, because the previous Safelite shop, cancelled my appointment, the day before. The staff was pleasant and friendly, the workmanship appears to be good. I spent over 3 1/2 hours, for a 2 hour appt, they normally do in an hour. If you can't do the repair, at the time you scheduled......

I really wish I had a good experience with Safelite but it was pretty painful almost the entire time. My car was recently broken into and some a**hole broke one of my windows and shattered it completely. I quickly checked with a handful of local repair shops to see what the cost would be on a window repair and Safelite was the only one to get me a quote quickly. However, while the speed of this was nice, the price was not. Nearly $400 for one car door window. I dropped my car off at the shop early in the morning and went about with my day. Got a message around 3:30 saying they started repairs and a call about an hour later saying it was done. The technician over the phone was very nice and asked if I'd be able to make it before they closed at 5. I told them probably not, and while I had a relative that lived pretty close by, I didn't think they'd make it either. The technician proposed they could leave my keys in a hidden spot in the car and I would be able to get it after hours. I agreed and ended the call. I got to the store later that night to find my car completely locked. However, the suggested area that could've had the keys did look different so I decided if the cost wasn't too bad, I'd gamble having someone come out to unlock my car. I waited for a locksmith to come out and spent $40 just to find out they never left the keys in any spot of the car like I was told. The next day I came in during business hours, got the keys, and hoped this would be the end of it. Unfortunately, it got worse. About two days later I had decided to roll my main window down since it was beautiful outside, and figured I'd test the window that was repaired and make sure it was working properly. It rolls down about ¼ of the way and then I hear an awful metal noise. I tried to roll it back up, but instead of the glass coming up, I still hear more noises and a giant metal mechanism came up instead in between the door and the glass. There should be a picture showing what it looked like. I sped over to the store and got there about 20-30 minutes before closing. The technicians were actually very nice and understanding, and got to work on my car right away and got the glass reinstalled. As of now, it does work perfectly and my experience with most of the technicians was pretty good, but after the cost of it all including the unnecessary locksmith, and it not even working properly after repair, I can't recommend these guys to anyone.

They replaced my windshield 2 times. They broke the plastic seals the second time. We glued them on with silicone. Not the windshield, the plastic seals they broke, on top of the glass to hold them in place. The insurance company insisted I follow up on the lifetime warranty. As soon as the tech saw silicone, even though it wasn't associated with the glass and the frame of the car, said no warranty. We talked with the manager and explained and offered to have the silicone removed, although it had nothing to do with the glass they installed that leaked. He said, "I'll call you back." Nixa location. He didn't call back. A week later I paid to have my windshield replaced. Not professional. Does not take care of past clients.

Safelite did a wonderful job replacing my window. I had a small crack from a rock, and after going to another shop, they touched it and it spread across my windshield. I was out of town so I scheduled an appointment with Safelite instead and I am so glad I did. Because of the high tech windshield, with it being heated and full of sensors, an $80 repair turned into a $1800 replacement. Not Safelite’s fault AT ALL, just super inconvenient. I was very happy though because Safelite worked with my insurance very seamlessly and saved me $800. They were very upfront about the recalibration fee and the whole process. It did take four hours, but again I understand that it needed to be recalibrated and brand new cars windshields are harder to take off than other windshields that have been replaced before. I was happy to wait to ensure that the job was done correctly and that they didn’t rush. Overall, I am very happy with the end result. I was really nervous about the recalibration because last time a shop recalibrated my vehicle (specifically the brakes), the same day that I picked it up, my brakes locked up and I crashed on the highway going 70 mph. So I have really bad PTSD from that. But they were very kind to explain to me that they checked my car thoroughly and it was safe to drive. Jared gave me space to explain why I was scared and reassured me that everything would be OK. After driving my car back home and on the highway, I can confidently say that they recalibrated it correctly and safely. Thank you Safelite!

Someone broke my elderly mother's windshield, and although Safelite has poorer than average reviews, and their prices are higher than local glass shops, I rolled the dice and had them come out to replace it, hoping it would be easier on her than having her take it into a shop. During the replacement the Safelite tech broke one of the windshield wiper arms, did not sweep the broken glass out from inside the car, did not clean up any of the dirt they left on the dash and windshield, and left a trail of broken glass in the driveway. They told me they would replace the wiper arm. Four weeks later and it is still not fixed. I was told over the course of five phone calls to them that they ordered it, but were unable to look up tracking info and "did not remember who they ordered it from". During those four weeks rain and snow prevented the use of the car due to the non functioning wiper, and caused immense stress to me as I tried to navigate getting them to fix their mistake. After the fifth phone call I realized they actually had no intention on fixing their mistake and ordered the wiper arm myself. 70 dollars and six days later it was fixed by me. Do not make the mistake I did. Read the poor google reviews and go to one of the many (cheaper) local shops that have excellent google reviews.
