Would not narrow down noon-5pm time to come to me in spite of clearly stating I needed it done closer to noon. So I made an appt and brought it in. Two guys working spent 75% of time bs-ing, work a bit, stop to chat, work a bit, repeat. Got to shop at 8:45am, it is now pushing 11am and not done. Worst customer service from start to finish I have experienced in years. Goodbye Safelite. Brooklyn Park, MN shop

The whole process from phone call to a new windshield was seamless and effortless on my part. I called on the phone to file a glass claim and after a pleasant 10 minute conversation with someone who actually understood customer service, I had an appointment within a week. I was kept informed as the schedule got closer and had the vehicle in a carport ready on that day. I was on a customer call working from home and didn't even realize the technician had arrived until he already had my windshield out and ready to go back in. Everything was clean and I can't find any flaws in the workmanship. I literally can't think of anything that could have been better with this from start to finish.

My experience was excellent from start to finish. Scheduling the appointment was easy, and the technician I worked with, Andrew, was fantastic throughout the entire process. Shortly after my appointment was confirmed, Andrew called to let me know that my window was already on order and would arrive first thing in the morning. Although we had originally scheduled the repair for Saturday at 3 PM, he asked if I could drop the vehicle off earlier so they could get a head start. He was very apologetic about the change, but I actually appreciated it—it felt like he was going out of his way to help me. On Saturday morning, Andrew called at 7:30 AM to confirm the glass had arrived. I dropped off the vehicle at 9 AM, and by 3 PM, the work was done. When I picked it up, Andrew apologized again, saying he tried to clean up all the broken glass and probably got about 99% of it, but there might be a few pieces left behind. I laughed and told him it wasn’t their responsibility—I didn’t expect them to clean that up, but I was genuinely grateful that they did. After I paid, I walked around the truck to inspect the work. Andrew noticed and asked if everything looked okay. That attention to detail and care meant a lot. From beginning to end, the entire experience was smooth, professional, and appreciated. Thank you!

**avoid at all costs** car was returned in much worse condition & nearly CAUSED A FIRE read more… Blower motor damaged Pink stain on a pillar Adhesive seeping on the interior Rear view mirror was not properly reattached TLDR: The technician dropped a paper towel into my blower motor and then Safelite failed to take responsibility. Immediately prior to the windshield replacement I had my blower motor running without issue. The next day when the windshield had enough time to cure and I could drive again, the blow motor sounded horrendously loud. Aside from that, the install was sloppy so we requested a different technician come take a second look. The first one was blaring music when he arrived, which, fine, whatever gets you through the day, but then he was short and rude and then did an absolutely terrible job. The second technician came and managed to clean up the glue but advised the issue with the blower motor was not because of the windshield replacement and was almost certainly a coincidence in timing. I explained that doesn’t make sense and that it definitely had something to do with the install because it sounds like something was dropped into my climate control system. He said I’d have to talk to the company. When we reached out for more help the customer service rep didn’t have any notes from the second tech and asked if we could explain the situation. They understood and attempted to reach out to the shop but said after repeated attempts they couldn’t get ahold of them and advised we’d have to drive the vehicle to the shop and handle it in person. We reached out to Safelite by email and submitted a review through them directly. We had already wasted time and took off work so we didn’t want to deal with going to the shop but thought it was fair that they send a competent technician to us instead. We never heard back. My husband removed the glove box and the components covering access to the blower motor for me and I was able to put a borescope through the holes and see that there were shredded pieces of paper inside of the motor. One by one I pulled the pieces out with a needle nose pliers. Safelite is lucky I didn’t run my heat and the paper catch fire. Completely unacceptable. You’re profiting off of insurance companies, I wonder how quick they would change glass repair companies knowing stuff like this goes down. We’ll never use Safelite again. 1. Shouldn’t of happened 2. Wasn’t handled well, twice

Hi, everyone. If you have a broken windshield, do not used safelite. They have the worse service out there. I had an appointment scheduled on9/20/24, between noon to 5pm. The technician showed up at 10am with no call letting me know they were coming early. . Wife call me at work and said safelite tech is here for me to come home. I had to take off work to come home. The wife told the tech that I'd be home in 10 minutes. I rushed home and the tech had already left. He told my wife that the vehicle was too rusty and it is against their policy to fix. That is just bullshit. There was no rust around the windshield at all. So I called Safelite to find out where they saw the rust. And to my disappointment, customer service said "If our tech says there is rust we're not going to fix. We only go by what the tech is saying."

DON'T USE SAFELIGHT!!!! My car was broken into two weeks ago, and I scheduled a window repair the same day through my insurance company. Safelight didn't have an opening for 11 days. I had to go 11 days without my driver's window only to show up for my scheduled apt this morning, to find out my window was not in stock. NO ONE called me, emailed me, or texted me to inform me that the window was not in stock! I drove a hour to get to my appointment only to find out the window was not in when I got to the shop. I was not offered a loaner, a rental, or a simple courtesy to vacumm out the glass covering my drivers seat even though I asked. The manager on duty also claimed they couldn't wrap my window for the time being since I drive a hardtop convertible, and it's the drivers window that is damaged (It's winter and I'm driving around like it's tropical paradise outside, this is NOT okay). I will be contacting my insurance company to find a more professional window repair company.
