Safelite AutoGlass

I checked my local options for windshield repair, selected Safelite, and began the online scheduling process but needed vehicle information that was not immediately available. I left the web page open overnight. Imagine my surprise at receiving an email this morning, at a professional email address I had not provided to Safelite, inviting me to save $5 by completing my appointment information. I had provided NO contact information -- not a single keystroke on the online form. Opening the "schedule an appointment" page was enough for Safelite to give itself permission to invade my computer and utilize data that it mined without my permission. I have "unsubscribed" from a Safelite email list to which I DID NOT subscribe. With apologies to our local owners, I consider this unauthorized corporate access to my personal data and will NOT schedule with Safelite. Consumer beware.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I called then for the convenience to have my glass replaced at my location. Only 5 days later, a crack was coming from the outside of the glass inward. I had a feeling that when they came out, they would say it was caused by a rock and that I would owe for it. Well, the guy is in my garage and less than a few seconds said, it was b y a rock. The surface felt smooth. I took pictures and was prepared to contact the better business bureau. A manager on the phone agreed finally to replace it. So, this is the last time. Stay with your local person and rely upon good customer service and backing up the work.

I brought my vehicle in to replace a cracked windshield. 11am appointment. The gentleman at the counter took my keys, pointed out the coffee station, and told me which restaurants were nearby in case I wanted to have lunch while I waited. He also offered to turn on the TV and asked if I wanted my wiper blades replaced. He said it could take an hour an a half to replace my windshield, but it often took less. The waiting room was comfortable and clean, with public rest rooms. Fifty minutes later, another fellow brought my receipt, briefly explained it. and informed me that my vehicle would be along in a short while. Fifteen minutes after that I was driving away with an impossibly clear new windshield. Everyone I talked with was helpful and professional. I was in and out in a little more than an hour. I have no complaints. I'll come back here next time I need a new windshield, but hopefully that won't be anytime soon.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Safelite. Greg called me the night before to give me information on how to make sure my insurance was verified before the appointment. I found out my deductible was $0! Greg was amicable and kind when I arrived and offered me water and to turn on the TV while I waited. He kept me updated about how long my windshield would take, which was under an hour! My new windshield looks amazing. The technicians did a fantastic job, and I enjoyed sitting in the clean waiting area reading my book while my car was being finished. Overall, I had the best experience possible and Safelite made the inconvenient job of taking time out of my busy schedule to have my windshield replaced enjoyable. The technician never showed up and when I called to find out if he was coming, I was put on hold for 40 minutes and then told the technician had gone home early and wouldn't be coming. She then said she assigned a different technician and he would be contacting me right away to let me know what time he would be there. An hour later, no contact from the technician so I called back. This time I was again told the technician had gone home early but this lady told me there was nothing she could do. When I explained to her that the previous person had told me she reassigned it and the new technician would be coming today, this lady said she knew nothing about it and no one was coming. So I was lied to and no one was willing to help. I will never use this company or recommend them to anyone. They deserve zero stars!!!! Stay away from Safelite. Find a company that cares about good customer service.

Very nice and professional. I went in to get my windshield replaced and all the safety features recalibrated along with it, i was expecting it to only take half an hour but they told me it could take an hour and half to two hours. I was okay with sitting there and waiting the whole time but they said they'd do their best to get it done sooner, which they did. I was in and out in a little less than an hour and could go on with the rest of my day. Plus the waiting area had the office playing on the TV so that helped make the time go by faster! I would highly recommend them.
