So apparently management has fixed NOTHING at this safelight from previous user reviews. Technician Miguel left debris ALL over the inside of my truck, but even worse, he left f’ing GLUE all over the inside of my new vehicle! Door, steering wheel, dash, and also scratched the piano black on my dash “trying” to get it off. Guess once he notice he was scratching it he just left it dirty and scratched(rather than properly cleaning). Miguel could not even get the safety features on my vehicle working and tried to leave, I had to make him call his manager to stay and wait for the new tech. Aaaand Miguel BROKE my windshield cowl on my new vehicle. I’ll be bringing it to Chevy tomorrow to get estimates on repairs and will be letting the insurance know what happened and who is at fault. I have it all on my driveway camera. Why can’t companies just hire people that do a good job anymore?! I would STRONGLY not recommend this place unless you want shotty work and a damaged vehicle. I’ve tried to call twice and can get a hold of NO ONE. Also on a side note, I specifically asked him to come let me know before he has to drive it and WE could go for a ride. I look out my window and Miguel is out joyriding in my vehicle WITHOUT informing me as I specifically requested. Unacceptable work from start to finish, damaged vehicle? & customer service has been non existent

Extraordinarily poor experience. The technician left debris all over my dashboard, and when I began driving down the road, noticed a whistling sound like a window was open. When I arrived home, I noticed I could also hear my engine idling, the sound specifically coming from the bottom corner of the windshield(no it was not like this when I dropped it off). I looked under the hood, and sure enough there is a gap in the window seal letting in the engine sound and causing the wind noise. I call in the next day to get this addressed, and there is nothing available for a week. I also have to take time out of my day to come back to have the issue fixed...no offer to come to me at all. Truly disappointing that their mistake causes me an inconvenience and potentially several hours without my car, and no offer of any sort of compensation for my time. If you come here, make sure you road test your car before they close so you can get any issues addressed right away.

My back passengers side window was broken out by my lawn mowing’s service. It was shattered - I cleaned up all the glass and proceeded to make an online appointment with Safelite as I needed it repaired as quickly as possible because I was driving out of town the next day after work. I was hoping I could drive to work and they could come out and replace it while I worked. There were no appointments for onsite work for 2 days. So next best thing- I went to them. I made my appointment and then arrived as soon as they opened at 7:30am. They were friendly, welcoming and professional. They told me they would have it ready in 1.5 hours. I told them I would just Uber to work and pick it up around 2 - they said no problem. As promised when I arrived that afternoon it was ready to go! I would have given Safelite 5 stars but here was my one and only issue. I saw that there was a $39.99 “recycling” fee so I explained that there was no glass to recycling because the window had been completely shattered and I had disposed of all the glass before even arriving to Safelite. They said they were not able to remove the fee but would ask the manager to give me a discount. The manager rejected the request and would not give me anything. I do feel that was not fair at all and that fee (as most fees are) is a scam to just jack up the total cost. Other than that it was a quick, seamless, almost painless (cost me $527) experience. Reaction to owners comments - I’m not “confused” about anything. I am simply stating that a mandatory “recycling fee” is not fair when there is no glass to recycle and the unwillingness to give any kind of discount in that case is also very short sighted for good customer service. No confusion on my end at all.

Horrible experience!!! I had windshield replacement on March 25, 2025 and needed my windshield recalibrated. After 4 hours at the 5029 WT Harris, Charlotte, NC location, Safelite released my car to me stating that the windshield was installed and successful calibration. When I got into the car, I had several safety features flashing in my computer on the dash. I returned to Safelite the next morning, after 4 hours, they were unable to recalibrate my car. I was told that I had to got to the dealership to recalibrate my car. I did and paid the dealership. Safelite charged me $495 for calibration that was unsuccessful and stated that they would refund my money. Well as of May 1, 2025 No Refund. I have spoken to home office and the manager, Jennifer at the branch and I was told YES, we will refund your money in 7-10 days. No refund in as of 35 days!!!!!

Wouldn’t recommend Safelite to anyone. Had a service scheduled for a Saturday with a 5 hour possible window- no one ever showed up. Tried to call customer service, they were closed for the day so I had to wait until Monday to call back. They told me that the tech had me scheduled, but he just chose to not show up. They said they’d email the shop and the shop would be in touch with me to reschedule. I hear nothing and a day later the tech calls me saying that he’s on his way to repair my windshield- meanwhile I was at work and wasn’t even available. They sent an email at 7:10AM saying someone was coming out today and my appointment window was from 8AM-5PM without even taking my availability into consideration. Customer service takes 20+ mins each time to get through. I ended up canceling altogether because I’m not dealing with this kind of hassle. Go somewhere else and avoid the headache.

I used the Safelite repair shop at 1301 Carrier Drive in Charlotte. Had work done on July 3, 2025 to repair two small "starburst" cracks and a 5" long hairline crack in the front windshield - all of which they said could be done. Post repair, there was no visible difference from the pre repair. It was as if nothing had been done. The "starburst" crack and hairline crack are both as visible as before. I wasn't expecting perfection but was expecting it to be better. On top of that, I had a pair of sunglasses stolen from my glove box by someone at that location. I know, shame on me for leaving them in an unlocked glove box but seriously...that's slimy. I am now trying to work with Safelite on making all of this right. Hopefully I can report back and change the rating based on how they handle this. Right now, I am disappointed.
