I had scheduled appointments on 7/24 & 7/26 at the Meridien Dr location, and both times the replacement windscreen was not ready. On the first appointment, I waited 1.5 hours before I was informed by the technician Isaiah, that the replacement had a scratch. On 7/25, I spoke with Elijah at the front desk, and he assured me that the replacement windscreen was ready, and he confirmed my appointment for the next day. On the second appointment I was informed that the replacement windscreen was still in the warehouse, and I had to wait 1.5 hours for them to collect it, and another 3 hours to replace it. I was furious, because I drove 50 minutes each way to both appointments, which was a total waste of my time. I tried to reach Mindy three times, but she did not call me back to address her staff’s callous attitude towards wasting my time and lack of communication and accountability. I requested that the assistant manager Dana, schedule my third appointment on Business Park Dr location, and they were able to replace the windscreenServicesAuto windshield repairPrice assessmentReasonable price

I dropped off at 7:45 and although I didn’t receive a call about my vehicle being done, I went back to the shop at 4 pm. As I drive up I saw my vehicle being pulled to the back and thought it odd as Safelite closes at 5 pm. I asked the front desk about the progress of my vehicle. She went back and asked and said she could only tell me it’s being worked on. Also, although they close at 5, the techs stay until the car is complete. Front desk woman left at 6 pm. I received my vehicle at 7:30 pm Things to take away from this… 1. “All day drop off” means your vehicle is getting worked on at the end of the day. 2. You will be left alone in the lobby if you’re like me and another woman once the front desk personnel decides to leave because the shop closes at 5 BUT you leave when the tech is done. 3. Once the front desk personnel is gone, You’ll have no one to ask for any assistance as the techs are in the back and the door in front will remain open. I was going to bring my daughter to pick up my vehicle, VERY GLAD I DID NOT. 4. Last. I tried to call before I went back to the shop and I sat through a prompt before getting passed to customer service. I got two quick rings and it went silent to never connect. I called several times and decided I should go. It closes at 5 right? Car should be done at 5? WRONG. Your car will be done when they’re done. There’s no limit to how long you’ll wait. Please reach out to me safelite. I would really like to speak with someone. It’s very difficult to get a hold of a representative.

I’ve never had to replace a windshield and had put it off for months because of the feeling that it was going to be an overwhelming, tedious process. That was, until the crack in my windshield got so bad I couldn’t ignore it any longer. I went online, and was surprised at how easy quoting a price and scheduling was. You can put your insurance information in on the website and they help check what your deductible is. Then I got on a call with safelite and my insurance to confirm my appointment, insurance details, etc. Very straightforward and no hassle. For the actual appointment, I drove up, checked in, then took a nap while I waited. I’m pretty sure they finished my service in a shorter amount of time than they told me, and it was as simple as giving them my keys, waiting, then retrieving my keys. No hassle, no fuss. Way easier than I thought it would be, and I thank the technician - Griffin - and desk staff for their swift work. Definitely would recommend. Windshield looks good as new. Thank you!

I know I'm late getting to this review but I had my windshield replaced on my 2012 Chevy Silverado in July 2022. I did the option where the tech, Joshuel came to my house and did it since I was out of town. In the process my headliner got ripped up, my windshield washer fluid line was crushed because the cover wasn't put back together right, and there was black sealant left on my paint. However, I could not figure out why my windshield washer fluid wasn't working until a few months later when I took it apart and saw what the problem was. Another tech came out about a week after the initial appointment and assessed the damage in which he got rid of the sealant that was left on the paint and we were eventually able to set up an appointment at auto interiors and tops to have my headliner replaced. Still not seamless, but at least that part was taken care of. Fast-forward to November when I got around to trying to figure out why my washer fluid stopped coming out after the initial appointment. I take my cover off between my windshield and hood and see that the fluid line is completely crushed because it wasn't put back together right. I replaced it with a non OEM part. It is frustrating knowing the carelessness that went into the work. I mean great the windshield doesn't leak or anything, but more problems were caused than were fixed. I know that the second tech that came out said that the headliner problem usually happens with the inexperienced techs. It would make more sense for the inexperienced techs to work at the shop under supervision. I doubt I'll use Safelite again but if I had to, I would make sure I sit and watch closely.

Rock hit our window on the highway causing about a half inch crack in the windshield. Contacted Safelite to see if they could repair the damage instead of replacing the whole thing, was quoted a price and scheduled for next morning. The person who arrived saw the crack and told us it was about a 50/50 chance that the crack will repair. Ultimately it turned into a 7 inch crack and here is where ALL the failures of Safelite came in. The repair tech told us not to worry about paying him since he was unable to repair it and he would contact the shop to call us and schedule. Well, no call came (Fail). My wife called and scheduled for the next morning herself. After arriving, the Manager at the front desk said the repair tech should have still billed for the visit even though they couldn't fix it and would now have to bill us the deductible for replacing the windshield + the repair charge, but explained we will be refunded the repair (Fail 2, your repair tech should know the policies). Car was "ready" 3 or so hours later and available for pickup. Drove my wife back to the location which is an hour round trip mind you. After leaving, she noticed that the windshield wiper fluid wasn't working. Called the location and was told they would call back. Well, no call came again or the next day or the next day (Fail 3). We then refilled the fluid just to see and sure enough it all came leaking out. Opened the hood again and found that not only was the line not reconnected (Fail 4), but a piece of the car was actually MISSING (Fail 5) and the seal around the windshield was coming off. By this time, we called the insurance company and provided them with pictures. Next morning to no surprise of ours, the Manager contacts is and asked my wife to bring it back in so he can personally look at it and apologized for not calling us earlier because they were busy (horrid excuse). Another hour round trip later and he was able to confirm the line wasn't reconnected and reconnected it. Said he will now have to order the missing part and will personally come to our home to install it. Also states that the seal coming off is "just cosmetic". No talk of compensation for our frustration, time and/or money. Failure all around Safelite.

I stopped in with an emergency. After a few days of thunderstorms, I experienced a water stain on ceiling upholstery in the rear of my vehicle. I had gone in there wondering if it was a weather stripping issue that allowed the water to get inside the vehicle. I stopped in ten minutes before closing on a Thursday evening, not expecting to get much help. I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did the manager, Stephen Cerasoli, go out of his way to help out, he found the issue with my vehicle. I had a damaged sunroof tracking which allowed water to get inside of my vehicle. After spending hours on the phone trying to figure out the issue with car dealerships, Steve was able to figure it out within ten minutes. He even gave me tips on how to test my sunroof tracks in the future. Steve went above and beyond and he did so for free, after hours, out of the kindness of his heart. I will be coming to Safelite for any and all repairs to any window in the future. Way to go, Steve!! You're the man!
