I recently paid $1,000 for a windshield replacement for my Tesla Model 3 at Safelite AutoGlass Repair. While the glass itself is fine, my overall satisfaction has been completely overshadowed by an unacceptable incident. I'm 95% certain the technicians broke my sun visor clip and attempted to hide the damage by gluing the broken piece on top of the bolt, without any notice or explanation. The glued part fell off after three weeks, forcing me to order and install a $10 replacement myself. When I contacted the company to address the issue, I was on hold for 20 minutes and received no resolution. This level of customer service is deeply frustrating. It's unprofessional to break something and not inform the customer, to glue broken parts as a supposed fix, and to refuse to take responsibility for the damage. This incident has completely tainted my experience with Safelite AutoGlass. I cannot recommend their services.

Excellent service. Insurance web claim process sent me directly to the Safelite site to make appointment. Showed local shop was not far in north side of Raleigh. Lots of choices for appointment within 1-3 days so I could pick one best for my schedule. Arrived and barely had to wait 10 min. Tech came out to inspect the damage and agreed a replacement was best. Explained the recalibration is for the collision warning and related safety features. Work was done quicker than stated in the appointment email and right on the time frame the tech stated. Car was clean and neat and it appears the recalibration is fine. Paid my deductible and all is well - got paper and emailed copies of warranty. Highly recommend.

Long story Short, replace my windshield at my house, then couldn't calibrate the camera. I was Told someone would call to reschedule but four days later, no one had called. I called and rescheduled. They made me go into the shop and again could not calibrate the camera. Turns out the first guy stripped the adjustment screw. Of course they didn't admit that, but that's what happened. I was told someone would call to discuss options and after several days of no one calling, I called again and was told the manager was on a conference call and she would call me back. Couple of days go by, No one called me back. I called corporate who reassured me that the manager would call me in the morning and here we are again no one has called.

DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! especially if you have a high end vehicle such as a Mercedes or BMW, etc. They will mess it up and then tell you that you'll have to pay for it to get fixed at that dealer and then be reimbursed. What's the point of having insurance if you have to pay out of pocket! The technicians are nice and some seem credible. However, Mary is rude and more than likely RACISTS! and Billy is a liar....I still have yet to receive an email of an updated bill that shows his shop couldn't perform my calibration! I had to take it to Mercedes and pay for it myself! Customer care called me and told me it only takes a day for him to credit back insurance for work that wasn't done. Here we are going on a week and he hasn't credited my insurance. Customer Care had to call him to get it done. Don't go here or any Safelight for that matter. There are great shops in Raleigh that have stellar reviews! Glass Doctor and McConnell Auto Glass! I've already looked so that I know where to go if I have another windshield that needs replacing. Be well folks

I had my windshield replaced, and during the installation, the technician accidentally cracked the new glass. I was told I would need to return for a second replacement. No problem, accidents happen. I dropped my car off for the second time, and an hour later received a call informing me that the new windshield had arrived with a crack. Now I need to return a 3rd time. After talking to the front desk and corporate customer service, I was told that the manager would be calling me. I have yet to hear from her. I have already paid for the service, and they have collected money from my insurance, but have yet to deliver a proper windshield. For what should be a routine service, it has brought a great level of inconvenience and disruption.

They did an amazing job replacing my windshield. My 3 star review comes from lack of communication the entire day they had the car then calling me 20 minutes after they closed to tell me it was done. I told them I would come pick it up that evening to which they agreed. I arrived 40 minutes later (after my ride picked me up and the soonest I could get there) and no one was there. Finally found a tech leaving then was told that they weren’t there because it was 45 minutes later after they called. I found it quite intriguing that the expectation was that I would arrive within 10(?) minutes of the call. Regardless, lack of communication and unrealistic expectations of drive time ultimately resulted in the lower rating. Happy with my windshield and them working with my insurance.
