The whole process wasn't up to my standards. Made me to drop off my car, to tell me it won't be ready until the afternoon. After 3 hours, it was done. I had to get a ride back. I would've stayed there. They do not come to my house. Too far a distance. It's only 30 minutes. The only reason was that my car needed to be recalibrated. Two months ago, they would be able to come to your house. That's was a major cost for me. When I got my car back, to only have a filthy steering wheel. Plus, a nice giant hand print grease stain. With two stickers, right on my driver's inside of my windshield. Still won't come off. All of my safety features popped up in my car the next day. I had to call Mazda to reset the computer. What was the $495 for ? This is truly a bad experience. Never in my life has any compassion for other people's things. The service was quick and easy. Rushed. Just terrible.

I want to sincerely commend the two technicians from Safelite who recently assisted me with my windshield repair. Their professionalism, kindness, and respect truly made a stressful situation much easier. My original appointment was scheduled for Saturday with the first technician. Unfortunately, due to impending rain, he made the responsible decision to postpone the job. While I was frustrated after waiting the entire five-hour window, I completely understand and appreciate his judgment and honesty. He was very kind throughout, and I recognize that weekends can be busy for Safelite. I would suggest perhaps shortening the appointment windows to help manage customer expectations. The appointment was rescheduled for Tuesday, and I truly expected to wait most of the day again. During this time, I was not at my second home where the service was scheduled to take place. However, the second technician called first thing in the morning to let me know he was on his way — which I greatly appreciated. I had to inform him that I was at a different property from the original address, as my kids were still sleeping. Without any attitude or hesitation, he kindly offered to come to my other nearby home. He was incredibly respectful and accommodating, arriving exactly when he said he would. Knowing that my kids were sleeping, he took it upon himself to be ever so considerate not to wake them. He performed the repair flawlessly. I simply placed the key on the hood of my car, and he took care of everything efficiently and professionally. Both technicians exemplified true gentlemanly conduct, and their customer service was outstanding. Their respectful attitude and dedication to doing a good job made all the difference.

Multiple misses. We had good experiences with Safelite in AZ. When we had a windshield ding in NJ we went here (nearest Safelite). First they came to us to repair a small ding from a rock kicked up on the road. The repair looked like a small cloudy smudge (not good). Then a couple of weeks later the ding started to develop into a larger crack. We made the appointment for a windshield replacement. The drive each way is 40+minutes. When I arrived in the afternoon I was shown the windshield that was delivered to them that morning and we both agreed that it was unacceptable. Question: why not inspect the glass a few hours before the customer arrives? I wasted 2 hours of my life for nothing. The next visit they installed the windshield. Oops-a few days later it rained and it became apparent that they missed something with the rain sensor. We asked if they could come out and fix it. No-we had to go there again. It turns out they never flipped the switch to “on” on the sensor. Net: bad repair, no inspection of parts prior to customer arrival, no inspection and testing to ensure the work was completed correctly. AVOID this location. They truly are very bad at their job.

Update 8/4/25: 3-stars The molding issue was corrected under warranty. Huge shoutout to Dan for reinstalling it correctly and timely, as it was incorrectly installed the first time. The techs are nice, I wish I could give them a separate rating from the overall experience, but logistically the whole process needs to get ironed out. Original July 2025 review: 1-star This was my first time using Safelite and probably will be my last. It took 8 mobile appointments just to get my side window replaced, and even after all that, my window seal strip ended up bent out of shape. I was originally recommended Safelite by many, but the experience fell far short of expectations — especially for the price I paid, which frankly wasn’t worth it. That said, I do want to give high praise to the technicians, especially Mike, for their professionalism and quality service. They were the one bright spot in an otherwise frustrating process.

2nd update: replying to them below. No, I am not going to contact you as I have been talking to people for the past month with a run around of excused, one is telling me one thing, another is telling me another thing. I was told all parts were there last Friday for sure this time when I talked to the lady on the phone, but yet July 14th, when I didn't even get a call and it was a no show (2nd time now) and I had to call, I was told the item was only delivered Monday morning, which doesn't seem true by any means. it would have been more simple admitted the ball was dropped more then once. Apparently, now I am scheduled for this Friday, as they are getting the parts now from Kia directly. They said if Friday doesn't work, it will be Monday. Let's see how all this goes. I told them I was so concerned about the glass shattering, and he proceeded to tell me it won't. I wasn't worried it would shatter when it all happened, but now from the glass being taken in and out, it got damaged way more and there is missing glass pieces on top and the whole glass window shakes, so yea, it can shatter. If it does and one of my kids get hurt I will be filing a law suit. The employee proceeded to tell me on the 14th, when I said all this to him, that the glass breaking isn't their fault, I replied with, no it wasn't, but the excessive damage of the glass is your company's fault from it being taken out and being put back in, MULTIPLE TIMES. He had nothing to say after that though with his smart remarks. I have pictures of the glass from when it got damaged and pictures of what it ended up like from safelite. Update: they didn't even call, I called them and they told me the wrong part was ordered again for the 3rd time now!!!!!! I normally do not write reviews! I still need my glass replaced, currently waiting on my tech who is supposed to arrive between 8:30-1:30 today July 14th. It is currently 1:15pm. My 1st appointment was on Sat Jun 14th, copied and pasted from email received below. This was a no show- they never assigned a tech, and the office was closed at 5pm. Appointment details: Your auto glass appointment is confirmed Date: Saturday, June 14, 2025 ETA: 1:30 PM - 5:30 PM EST My 2nd appointment was for Friday June 20th, they sent the tech with the wrong glass for my car door. My 3rd appointment was for June 24th, they sent the tech with the correct glass this time, but with the WRONG clips. My 4th appointment was scheduled for June 30, and was canceled as what was needed was out of stock. My 5th appointment is like I said in the beginning of this, scheduled for today, July 14th, and they have yet to show up as it's almost 1:30. I told them I have 4 young kids from the start and needed to get this done ASAP, and it feels like a pure joke. The number of times they have taken my window out and placed it back in, they have damaged and cracked it more. I have been a nervous wreck, that at any given moment it could shatter and my 2 oldest would be in the passenger seat, or glass would fly to my young ones in the back (3 years old and 1 year old). I truly do not know what to do anymore, as no one so far in this company has helped, as this is a major safety hazard for my children. They ride with me 40 minutes back and forth, as their daycare is near my job. This has been so stressful for me, especially as a parent and the safety. No care from the customer service end. Truly upsetting and awful!!!!!

Everything when does planned except I made an appointment and my insurance company and Safelite ordered the wrong windshield. They ordered an aftermarket one. And since I have a Z06 Corvette with a heads up display, it will only work with an OEM windshield. So I got there in the Manager immediately knew it was the wrong windshield that was ordered he ordered the correct one and the next time I went everything went smooth I do believe there should be better communication between insurance companies and Safelite when it’s a specialty windshield But I can’t say enough good things about the people at Safelite in Freehold. They’re all very professional and knowledgeable and none of this was their fault. It was mostly the insurance company and the actual company Safelite not the location at Freehold. They are perfect.
