I needed my drivers-side window replaced after it was shattered in a smash grab robbery attempt. I spent 2 hours vacuuming out the car prior to the appointment so the only clean-up the tech needed to do was inside the door frame. Not complaining about this, just setting the details. I'll give them an A for ease of scheduling, billing and time of repair. Unfortunately I believe the brief time of repair was due to not spending the time to get all the glass out of the door frame. I could hear glass still rattling when I shut the door to pull away but I had to get to another appointment. When I opened the door many glass pieces were coming out of the weep holes. I popped the door panel off when I got home and spent an hour sweeping and scraping the remaining glass out of the bottom of the door. Attached is a pic of what I collected with my shop vac.ServicesAuto power window repair

Unfortunately leaving a poor review for now. Had my windshield replaced today, looked great when I went to picked it up at 3:00pm when dropping it off at 7:30am with Brian who was quite nice. Upon getting home I noticed the molding / trim on the passenger side was quite loose. Tried to call with no answer and called the 800 number which said they were closed. Had to reschedule, via the internet, warranty work for a week from today in-shop which is an hour away... A little frustrated right now. Will give a better review if resolved.

Ok. Here is my story. I had a small chip in my CRV windshield. I went online and booked a Safelite tech to come to my home and fix. He arrived. He did his thing. Chip looked fixed. 3 hours later there was a giant crack in windshield. I called Safelite. They said, Oh ok. now you need a new windshield and it's $800. I was irate. The "guarantee" that is in small writing basically says they will credit whatever you paid toward having your chip not fixed toward and entire windshield. I proceeded to spend over an hour on the phone with my insurance explaining the situation. Insurance reimbursed me for the original chip cost, but I still had to the deductible which is $500 for the new windshield. I also had to drive the car to the Safelite location which is 40 minutes from my home. I will say that the Tech that replaced my windshield did a good job this morning and they got it done relatively quickly. I would give the team this morning 5 stars. My frustration is that if I had never called them, I would have a small chip and still have my $500. I just think it's crappy to pay for them to fix a chip, now have a worse issue and need an entire new windshield because their tech "might" have messed something up, or "maybe" the crack was deeper than they thought. Just make sure you are aware of all of this + plus check your insurance for coverage before paying for things out of pocket as you might have coverage or a deductible. I had no idea my insurance covered any of this (chips/repairs are actually free) Good Luck Out There.

This is for the Glenway location. I had a repair done years ago in Fairfield and it was very pleasant, and professional. Repair was done so well a few years ago. Compare this to the picture of the repair I had done today (7/29/2025). It looks like the windshield would crack at any time. Then, of course, the total repair is not covered by insurance. Not so today. I went into this location and a minute after looking at my windshield the tech manager asked me if I 'Just bought my car?" . No, I have owned for over ten years. He then said "I can't help you.". I asked why and he said they were "already fixed.". I had put a very small dab of super glue on the new crack to keep it from running. I told him that and he said "he coldnt do anything." I told him I could remove it in a second. He then took out a razor blade and found out he actually could "fix it". said it would take an hour. Ten minutes later the tech said it was done. The crack looks exactly like when i brought it in, a definite X crack spot. A very poor, sloopy crack repair. Doubt it stays. He said "I can't help it, the machine does what the machine does.". Inside the garage the techs were playing ghetto music. This was a far cry from my past exprience . Place has gone down 100 percent. Also he missed a huge crack on the upper portion of my windshield. This is because he didn't examine the entire windshiled at all. In addition, no manager looked at the techs work at all. If he had he would know he needed to replace not repair as more than two cracks makes the windshiled vunerable to needing an entire replacement. Why is he a manager? He does nothing. ** update 8/4/2025 Called Customer Service, they called the Glenway location. Manager said he saw how bad it looked and didn't Charge my insurance company or anything. This is said after he didn't look at his techs work. Then today, I get a claim filed to my auto insurance SHOWING HE ACTUALLY FILED A CLAIM. There is nothing backed out of their system, and it looks like my windshield is going to now break.

It was easy and convenient to schedule an appointment online to have my windshield replaced at my work location. I received prompt communication through emails, calls, and texts during the whole process. My technician, Chance, was great! He was professional, thorough, friendly, caring and kept in contact with me from start to finish. Unfortunately, he could not replace my windshield the first time he came due to an error code for the camera system that had to be cleared by a car dealership. He was apologetic and personally followed up with me to make sure he could reschedule for the earliest possible appointment. He eased the stress of my difficult situation by his dedication to provide the best customer service possible.

Scheduled an appointment online. Confirmed the appt the day before by text. Technician was to arrive between 12 and 5 today. When I had not heard anything by 3PM, I called the customer service number where they confirmed that our technician was at another job and would be texting us when he was on his way. 4:30PM I get a text stating my appointment has been rescheduled for A WEEK FROM NOW -AND, I HAVE TO BRING IT TO THEIR SHOP instead of doing service at my home as originally scheduled. So I sat home all afternoon waiting for the manager Brian, at the Glenway location, to cancel my appointment at the last minute - No explanation. I called customer service again who then tried to reach out directly to Brian, but NO ONE PICKED UP THE PHONE - and yes it was before 5PM closing time. There are plenty of other reliable and reputable companies for windshield replacement, so stay away from Safelite. I actually probably dodged a bullet, because with this attitude towards customers, they likely would have done a terrible job. Thank goodness I did not fall for their PRE-PAY option or who knows whether I'd see a refund.
