Safelite provided the worst windshield replacement experience I’ve ever had. After the initial repair, the technician left grease all over the interior of my truck. I had already cleaned most of it before I decided to take pictures. The new $60 pair of windshield wipers they talked me into were horrible and rattled on the glass, no matter their speed or how much rain there was. Then less than 4 months after the replacement a stress crack appeared in the bottom center of the glass. So I call them out because it’s under warranty and the technician said it was caused by an impact after they had already said it was a stress crack and started to explain that “Sometimes there’s just defects in the glass when we get it” and “we don’t know until it cracks. That’s why they cover it under warranty.” Then BAM. It was caused by an impact and you’ll have to pay for a replacement. Save your time and money and go with someone else.

If I could give them a 0 I would! I will never use Safelite again. They left my truck unwrapped after refusing to replace the windshield due to a minor rust area. It rained about an hour later before we could get a tarp on it since we had to buy a tarp from the store and it shorted the computer or something like that in our truck. Now they are refusing to fix it and it’s all because they didn’t wrap the windshield after not being able to replace it due to rust. I wouldn’t think best business practices would be to leave a customers truck completely open to the elements when rain was in the forecast. Do not use this company. They are not training their new people accurately and you will end up with damage And they won’t help. They have left me and my young kids and husband that’s is a disabled veteran without a vehicle for over two weeks and now we’re going to have to figure out a way to get the money to fix a problem they caused. They will lie to your Insurance Company and tell them it’s your fault and in the end it’s your word against theirs. Would hate for this to happen to anyone else.

Honest review - the jingle is catchy, but they are pricey. You’ve probably heard the Safelite jingle by now. They do a great job in advertising that they’ll come to you and replace your window with minimal frustration or ease. We did not have the same experience, but the technician who did the actual work is the only reason I could give them three out of five stars. Everything else did not meet expectations. The technician was good, the front office person was abysmal. 2 trips to get our windshield replaced. Unfortunately, this was not the experience that we had. The “come to your location” service was not available where we live (which is fine), But we originally had scheduled for our car to be done early morning the day before the Fourth of July. We got stuck behind a train that stopped right in front of a Safelite store. We were stuck there for about 30 minutes. At a time we got there, the front office person told us that we were late, that they didn’t have any availability, despite the store being completely empty in the parking lot. They told us we would have to come back again on a different day with a cracked windshield. We drove back to our house scheduled for a different day, and had no problems. Price - We used insurance for our claim, but compared to all the other companies nearby, the “cash” Option was about $400 more on average than the other competitors. They wanted $1200 to replace our front windshield and calibration according to the quote we had. The competition/other people in Oklahoma City would do it for $800 cash. We used them because they were close and the most convenient option. (2 out of 5 stars) Convenience - Not as advertised, but the bigger issue was the front office person. They didn’t care and they just wanted to not work the day before the Fourth of July. (1 out of 5 stars) Actual service - The technician who did the work actually did a good job, friendly and was actually polite. (5 out of 5 stars)

Safelite on memorial in edmond has done my windshield through insurance safety glass at least 5 times in the past 2 years! Every time the man comes out does a great quality job and there are no issues with the glass! However when you CALL this location they will LIE to you quick! Chris and I just got off the phone about 10 minutes ago and he told me that my make and model had to absolutely be done at the shop. Let me tell you all, I have NEVER been to a Safelite location EVER! They always come to me and it’s the same vehicle. After a few long frustrating minutes of listening to Chris grunt and groan and throw attitude he was able to do exactly what I kindly ask him to do after initially telling me “NO MAM” with confidence. As we ended the call I kindly ask him to maybe don’t tell folks “no” so quickly and adamantly and reluctantly he said “yes mam” and hung up in my face after I wished him a good day. …not cool Chris… not very customer friendly there buddy!

I had the pleasure of having Khyree fix my windshield, and I couldn't be more impressed with the job he did. He was professional, punctual, and clearly takes pride in his work. From the moment he arrived, Khyree explained everything clearly and made sure I felt confident about the process. The repair was done quickly and flawlessly — you’d never know there was any damage to begin with. His attention to detail and friendly attitude made the whole experience easy and stress-free. I highly recommend Khyree to anyone in need of windshield repair. Excellent service from start to finish!

EDIT: So it's now been over 2 weeks since Safelite damaged my yard and despite their claim that they would reach out and remedy the matter, that has not happened. The only time I hear from Safelite is when I call them. I've spoken to the shop manager, many customer care people, and the district manager for our area. I get apology after apology, but nobody seems interested in fixing the damage. It is extremely frustrating. They don't really rate the 1 star i gave them. Original review below: The Oklahoma City shop is hit and miss, and in my 3 services we have 2 misses and 1 hit. The first service was a scheduled home visit. Technician was a no show and no call and I had to wrangle with the shop to get an appointment the next day. Then they delayed service for that appointment as well. My second home service we off without any issues. Tech arrived during the scheduled window, he was courteous and friendly and I was happy with that visit. My last appointment was a mess. The tech showed up on time, did the work just fine, but in the process parked on my wet grass, tore it up, got stuck, blocked me in for an additional 2 hours, and although he indicated somebody would contact me to repair my yard, that has not yet happened. The work the tech performed was good, but I expect to have to battle with them over repairing the damage they caused. Wish me luck. If you have an alternative to Safelite i would recommend that. If you don't, well good luck to you.
