My experience with Safelite was honestly one of the most frustrating service ordeals I’ve been through. We scheduled an appointment not once, not twice, but five times before the job was finally completed. • First two appointments: Each time, I waited through the entire 4-hour window only to get a call at the end saying they didn’t have the glass in stock and it was "tough to get". • Third attempt: The tech arrived—but with the wrong glass that didn’t fit. At that point, I spoke to a manager who offered a goodwill gesture: two wiper blades and a tint strip for the top of the windshield. I accepted and rescheduled. • Fourth visit: The tech showed up and immediately admitted they weren’t tint pros and said he wouldn’t even put the tint on his car. It looked bad, and I asked him to call the manager. She wasn’t very helpful and I had to ask again to reschedule—suggesting they tint the window properly ahead of time if that was even possible. • Fifth time’s the charm: The final tech arrived on time and completed the install with no issues. Would I use Safelite again? Probably not. Should they improve how they manage scheduling, inventory, and communication? Absolutely. It was clear that the technicians were doing their best, but the leadership and logistics behind the scenes were completely unprepared. Not sure why insurance companies still contract with a provider that makes it this difficult for customers to receive basic service.

They ended up putting in a windshield that ended up cracking as soon as they put it in. Then they decided to not do the recalibration of the safety features until I can come back to do another replacement since they don't have another windshield in warehouse to get done the same day. I'm taking it as they're in a time crunch and don't want to do it since they're going to have to do it again next week. Their excuse was the "possibility" of the new Crack causing the system to malfunction anyway. So now I'll be driving my car without its safety features because they don't even want to try. They also didn't vacuum up after themselves and left a bunch of fuzz in my car and left another of black glue marks on my white paint. If my car ends up in an accident because my safety features were not turned on and recalibrated properly by Safelite, you bet your butt I'll be contacting a lawyer to sue Safelite

Worst experience I’ve ever had with a glass company! They are so corporate trying to get back in touch with them or the tech or the representative you originally spoke to is impossible! They put in the wrong windshield three times in my Cadillac still has calibration issues withthe sensors!! Strongly suggest going local and privately owned . As China owned Safelite and they give zero craps about Customer Service Update per there reply- wow that response really shows how much they care! Ps I have called and left VM’s & still no response or follow up.

I am torn on this review because the work is phenomenal, but everything else leaves room for improvement. This time i checked the times they were open 6am, I called ahead of time to make sure I could drop it off before 7 so my ride could get to work I was told no problem. Got here at 6:45 and they were not open, when they did open the process to drop off including paying delayed me even further, I understand it’s policy to get payment but you have my car, hold onto it until it’s paid, and general speaking getting dropped off to pick it up will be a far less stressful time for people. Again every time the work is amazing, I just with the rest of the process was equally wonderful, for this reason I took off one star.

Referred by my insurance company. They were easy to contact to get the new windshield. We had a dash cam and I was informed I had to stick it back on the new windshield. Safelite installer put the adhesive on the dash cam and I placed it on the windshield. It fell off in less than 24 hours. Getting Safelite to stand behind their service you are dealing with a different company. Almost impossible to speak to a person. The warranty line disconnects you, so you have to call in and say it is for new business to speak to an agent. Once you get a person they can transfer you. 45 minutes later, I was talking to one of their managers and she was all company policy, did not listen to me. So I got a halfway job after paying full price. My dash cam is hanging by a wire dangling from the cord - Safelite poor quality reminder every time I get into the car. BUYER BEWARE = DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!!

Had my Model Y in for a windshield replacement twice over the last week. First attempt, March 3rd - dropped off the vehicle at 10am, wasn't ready for pickup until after 4pm. That's fine, but once picked up there was a ton of new wind noise coming from the new "Aftermarket" glass, sounded as if there was no seal at all around the glass. Brought it back in for warranty repair on March 7th, replaced with the same brand glass (at least that's what I was told), even more noise now, whistling louder than before at speeds over 30MPH. Never had these issues with windshield replacements before. Zero follow up and quality assurance from SafeLite. The quality of work (or glass) is completely disrespectful of my time. I don't have time to take it back in again and spend a few more hours in the waiting room. Looks like I'll have to drive my normally silent Tesla as if it was a 20yo hoopty until it cracks and I have a more reputable company actually come to my house and replace it with a good quality glass and workmanship. Very disappointed in a company that does nothing but, and specializes in glass.
