Worst experience I’ve ever had dealing with a shop and customer service. My replacement windshield failed the initial calibration test so they set up a follow up appointment for me to try a new windshield. After that second appointment failed again they said they needed to order a new one that may take a few weeks. After a month went by I tried calling for over a week with no luck. At that point I went into the shop and talked to a technician who assured me he was confused on why the part hasn’t arrived but promised he’d call and let me know before end of day. He did not. Another week went by and I tried calling again with no contact at all. At that point I called customer service and the agent could also not get ahold of the shop so they said they would work on it and call me back. Another 2 weeks goes by and nothing. I call customer service again and get an agent who finally does something and says she’s never seen anything like this - she attaches me on an email with corporate and they finally got the attention of the shop to where someone finally reached out after corporate got involved. I’ve never left a review and consider myself patient but this was insane. The last representative of this location assured me they’re under new management so hopefully it’s better but I’d look elsewhere for repairs for sure.

THEY DAMAGED MY CAR IN OCTOBER AND STILL HAVE NOT FIXED Safelite has canceled my appointment three times now. First time, no vin. I provided vin TWICE. They canceled again for no vin. Most recently, this shop told me the cancellation was due to a back order. Funny thing is, I called Volkswagen after work, and the part isn’t back ordered at all. It can actually be here Friday. Go anywhere but here — unless you want someone blatantly lying to you about your service. ** they did repair my window — dented the aluminum frame around my windows, talking with warranty department now. (Jorge was my tech)** If y’all think I haven’t been “chatting with agents,” you’re insane. I’ve talked to agents 5-6 times and ONE of them helped me by sending me YOUR number. UPDATE: I have been dealing with this since OCTOBER. They have not repaired my vehicle. Even customer service struggles getting in contact with the shop.

Internet scheduling said there were no mobile services available to San Marcos, but the techs were talking about sending a mobile truck to Flatonia! Limited in-shop appointments available. Drove an hour to get there for a 10am appointment and my car wasn’t taken back till 12:20pm. Then had to wait for two more hours. (Seems everyone in the waiting room was having a similar experience). Informed them my car was manual and they sent a tech out who didn’t know how to drive manual so I had to drive it around. Necessary “recalibration of safety systems” was a $500 extra charge over just the windshield replacement. Employees were nice but way overworked - seems the internet scheduling system over schedules them. Flashy ads about how convenient they are seem to be a bit of an overstatement. Upside - the bathroom was clean. If this is your only option - bring a book. If I need windshield service again I’ll probably take my chances with a “mom and pop” shop…

JORGE RODRIGUEZ- Amazing technician! Jorge took special care to contact me throughout the day of my scheduled work: once this morning, then again when his schedule changed and could arrive sooner - always letting me know what to expect. Customer Service ✅ When arriving, Jorge took time to answer all my questions; then, with a smile, performed the install professionally and in a timely fashion. Industry Professional ✅ He endured my 2year old son and I as his audience, and kept cool. In our conversation. Jorge relayed how he is an early bird and likes to get his day going as quickly as possible- he was on his 4th stop when he got to me at 10 am. Impressive! Great Work Ethic ✅ On a personal note, I manage projects for a living and I can tell Jorge is an employee who needs no supervision, champions efficiency, and by his work ethic brings value to Safelite’s reputation. Quality Employees ✅ I had gotten other quotes for the same job at a similar rate but am glad to have contracted Safelite. Not only because of their lifetime warranty but thankfully also because of who they have performing their auto glass service work. Industry Leaders✅ Thanks, Jorge!

If I could give zero stars I would! Safelite came out to my house on March 17th to replace my windshield. After starting to do the repair (he only took off the mirrors and trim at this point) DJ Parker noticed that he brought the wrong windshield and so we had to reschedule an appointment. I noticed later that he had scratched my CarPlay screen in my vehicle and my husband reached out to Safelite. After several times of trying to contact any living soul at Safelite my husband was given a managers email (Francisco Arias) and asked to send pictures of the damage.. crickets. Over the next several days we were given the run around. We also did get our windshield fixed with no issues by Emilio Macias and that’s about the only good thing I can say about this company. We are now 2 1/2 weeks later and STILL getting the run around by this shady company. I WISH we would have read reviews first as this Howard Lane location is (shockingly) closed now. PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE unless you request Emilio! Emilio, please do your self a favor and find a better company to work for!

Originally had my windshield replaced and had a great experience through the mobile option, until my window started leaking two weeks later. I set up a warranty appointment, which couldn’t be done for an entire week but luckily it was a small leak. I was given an arrival window from 8-12, I confirmed twice through text and phone call with a representative. 1 o’clock rolls around and I got the email about my appointment but no communication from the tech. Their customer service is a joke, I had to call multiple different numbers and couldn’t even talk to a person at the actual store, I had to get information relayed to me through a customer service representative from the store employee for some reason. I was told the tech was apparently having phone issues and that’s why they were so late. After 45 minutes on the phone I was told the tech was going to call me directly in a few minutes. It’s been almost 2 hours and I still have yet to hear from the teach. I wanted to be understanding because it seemed like a one off situation but from reading recent reviews it doesn’t seem that way. Extremely frustrating to have to wait the entire day for them to not show up and have to jump through so many hoops just to talk to someone about the situation. Once someone finally came out to fix it, they still managed to mess up and left scratches all over my car under the windshield. I would stay far away unless you want the job done incorrectly or want them to mess up your car even more. Also, the reason they have mostly good reviews on the website is because they have to approve the review once you submit it.
