I noticed a small crack in my windshield & called my insurance carrier GEICO & within 10 minutes had a claim set up & appointment made with Safelite AutoGlass to come to my house to repair the crack. My appointment was set for 12pm-5pm but the morning of my appointment the Tech David Lee contacted me & said he was in the neighborhood completing another customer’s job & would it be possible if he could come when he was done. I said absolutely. I was so impressed with that. David came, explained everything that would be done, any complications that could arise but probably would not & roughly how long it would take. David did his magic, repaired the crack, my windshield looks amazing & I was so happy I did not have to replace the whole windshield. Safelite was amazing from the set up of appointment, receiving a video via text what would be done & the amazing Tech David that repaired my windshield. Thank you Safelite. I will surely recommend Safelite & will use them again if need be.

Where do I even start with this. First of all my initial appointment was back in January and I have had nothing but issues since. I got the windshield replaced get to my truck and there is a disaster everywhere they didn't clean up after themselves and they had dumped one of my car fresheners all over my center console. Oh but this isn't even the kicker! They broke my rearview mirror, my rain sensor doesn't work and I just had an appointment cancelled for the rain sensor because the manager failed to tell them that the part needed to be ordered. I am at the point where I am fed up. This has been an issue for almost two months and they still cant fix it. Countless hours, countless amounts of fuel in my vehicle. I will never recommend anyone to come to this establishment ever ever!! They are horrible. The only person here that I have had a positive experience with is the lady at the front desk she is a sweetheart. But everyone else here doesn't know how to do their jobs properly. They just want to get it "done" and shove you out the door. Still waiting on the manager to call me which has been well over the time that I was told he would call me back and I even tried calling again and there was no answer. They don't really take care of the issues they just blow smoke up your ass.

I will start by stating that I have had excellent experiences with Safelite in the past...........this however was not one of those. It actually involved two separate but equally disatisfying experiences. I initially came in with a small chip in my windshield (1/4 inch at most). Given that it was in a difficult location (very bottom of the windshield, in the center of the windshield) I was informed that there was a possibility that the repair process could increase the size of the chip and I may need to replace the entire windshield. That is exactly what happened (after "treatment" I now had a 6 inch crack!!) so I was prepared for it.......I was not prepared for the technician to tell me that he was sorry because he was only a trainee and usually only experienced techs worked on difficult areas but no one was available. In effect, there may have been a possibility that my windshield didn't crack and I would just live with chip for a year or so until it was replaced. The second issue dealt with the scheduling of my windshield replacement (which I still was coming to terms with after just having a small chip become a giant crack). I was told the entire process including recalibration would take 3 or maybe 4 hours. As a result, I scheduled an online appointment for 1PM which would mean my repair should be done by 4PM or maybe 5PM....instead I received a phone call from Safelite at 2PM telling me that they couldn't do the recalibration until the next day because there was probably going to be too much traffic to do it late in the day on the day of my appointment. I needed to come back the next day for the recalibration. So why even schedule appointments for the afternoon???? I would have gladly taken a morning appointment rather that come back in for a second appointment.

On May 22, 25, an unknown object struck and damaged my windshield. I called the Perma Plate Service Plan coverage that afternoon to report and schedule a date for repair. I knew the windshield could not be repaired, from my contracting experience with the government. The next morning, I drove to Safelite Auto Glass in Bellevue to confirm what I believe. I had 2 technicians come out to take a quick look and verified the windshield could not be repaired; it had to be replaced. David took a picture of the damage, and we all walked back into the office. He told Sophia, customer advocate, the windshield could not be repaired as the damage was too large. Sophia changed my appointment to May 23rd, she documented and notified Perma Plate of the extensive damage and Perma Plate changed the approved repair to replacement. I went to the car to call Perma Plate for the new approval and once received within minutes, I went back into the office to schedule a replacement date. Sophia researched online to find the last OEM windshield in Cincinnati, and had it sent to the shop. Sophia scheduled the replacement for June 2nd. I missed the appointment time on June 2nd, but Haylie, customer advocate, and Vince, manager, got my car in anyway if I could drop it off for the entire day, which I did. Vince called me to let me know they were going to take great care of my 4Runner. Vince is professional, courteous, active communicator, and made me feel at ease, about the replacement being completed June 2nd. Mick did a great job installing the windshield. David did a great job recalibrating the camera to the windshield. Sopia, Marcus, David, and Haylie, were all professional, courteous, kind, great in communicating, and assisting me in getting the windshield replaced sooner than later. I thank you all for all you do and being you. Janet Loder

I just got my windshield replaced today at Safelite. I called a highly rated local, auto glass shop, was told I would receive a call back (never happened) then left a voicemail that was never returned. I went ahead and decided to "roll the dice" with Safelite, based on the reviews. I couldn't be happier with the experience including: - Appointment scheduling - super-easy online process that provides quotes and an instant insurance look-up; rescheduling was efficient as well - Communication: pre-appointment - calls, emails and texts, day of - update calls throughout the installation and calibration process - Timing: I dropped off my car at 8:30am and it was ready by 2:30pm - Workmanship: The windshield was installed flush with no damage to the paint or frame. - Cleanliness: There is only a small amount of debris inside the car as to be expected when replacing a windshield. I know people's experience has been inconsistent, but I was very happy with how my windshield replacement was handled at Safelite.

A month ago I sourced a quote for a full windshield replacement with these guys. Got an email confirmation for $350 total with tax. That sounded great to me so, I setup an appointment and showed up that Saturday. Dropped my car off, gave my card info and was told to come back in a few hours - ok no big deal. Well, half an hour later I get a phone call from the lady at the front desk who informed me that the windshield part was in fact, still not in stock and how would I like to reschedule my appointment for Monday afternoon? After some back and forth I instead reschedule for a few weeks out to make sure they had the part. Fast forward today, I show up again to drop my car off. I'm handed a work authorization form which lists a total of SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY FIVE DOLLARS and change. The very polite lady explains how that price doesn't matter and they will adjust my total after the service is performed.... naturally I refused to sign it. I had to EXPLAIN TO HER that it was a legally binding document. At this point major alarm bells are going off for me, but I figure I'd give them one more chance so I ask for a form with the original price on it. She finally agrees and after a few minutes provides another authorization form. This time the total is $394 with tax. I pull up the email confirmation from Safelite and ask her again, why is there a discrepancy? She explains how that quote is missing their "standard $40 disposal fee" which "is always applied to all services". At this point I've had my fill of being jerked around so I cancel my appointment. TL;DR these guys tried to bait and switch me twice on the cost of my appointment, AND didn't bother telling me the part was out of stock until after I had dropped off my vehicle and gotten a ride home. Would give 0 stars if I could :)
