Final verdict 17 Oct 2024: I called the help that left a comment on this post. The person on the phone didn't let me talk, made assumptions on the issue. I literally had to raise my voice and tell the person to stop talking, so I can tell him what the real issue was. They got me scheduled to come back in. I showed up and the notes that was left with the technician was the assumption and not what I addressed. Didn’t matter anyways because that location said they couldn’t help me anyways. Very poor customer service at all levels, at location, and the main customer service help line. I really hate to say this because I used Safelite as my main place but beg all of you to avoid this company at all costs. They are not the same like they used to be. I have a coworker with a BMW that has been in an ongoing battle with them for the last six months… not the best way to support the stakeholders. New edit: Safelite has nice people but still issues. They will replace the trim on the windshield but won’t do anything with the sound. The sound is in the dash and they claim that they didn’t cause it. However, this rubbing sound happened after this appointment. They are trying to claim it’s the compressor, it’s not. They are trying their best to put the responsibility somewhere else. I have an outside source saying that they have dropped something round the blower. So now I have an appointment with the dealer (24 Sep 2024), just for them to tell me what I already know and prove that Safelite made a mistake. Also, my HUD is really blurry now and hurts my head when I look at it, I’m assuming another mistake that they would put the blame elsewhere. Be warned, save yourself the drama, save yourself the headache, save yourself acquisitions, and just go somewhere else. I use to love Safelite and used them all the time when I lived in Texas, this will be my last time being a customer. Edit: I figured out that the rubbing sound is connect to the A/C. I don’t know why a windshield replacement started this issue but I would like this fixed. Original message: Tried calling multiple phone numbers but all lead to a useless automated computer. I rather have had to discuss this over the phone but here I am. Just got my windshield replace today (26 Aug 2024) on an 22’ Santa Fe and now there is a rubbing sound coming from the dash every time the vehicle turns on or off. Both panel trim that rests on the windshield is sticking out and loose. The people were nice in person but the non-user friendly computer phone call is really distasteful. I would like this issue fixed and maybe double checked after that. Please view photos for incomplete work.

I decided to have my windshield replaced on a newer car that required programming because of my positive past experience with Safelite years ago. This visit was just the opposite. They left plastic covers loose inside on windshield that rattled. The outer side trim was also not connected either as I had a loud whistling sound while driving on the freeway and these could have flown off. These are things I found about after I left. My bigger issue is with their warranty for programming. The emails I received from them stated one year warranty. The envelope for the receipt states programming is a 1 year warranty, but the receipt stated 30 days. I went back into the store after noticing this and the lady at the counter was unable to explain it to me. She said a manager would call me. I never got a call. I had to track down the store managers phone number. I got in touch with Joe and his explanation was that it's a corporate thing. He even said I should have asked before install about the warranty discrepancy. I said excuse me, why, your emails and company envelope state one year. He was very defensive and combative in the conversation. I the called customer service 800 number and spoke to a kind lady named Barb. I explained my situation and she said that she could not do anything other than email their district manager, Jason Still to call me. She spoke highly of him and that he is great with customers. Days later, no call. Windshield installed 5/10/25. The worst part is that I claimed this with my insurance company and they charged them $1000. I originally got a quote to pay out of pocket for $599. Wow, what a racket. I will never go back.

Big security concerns! My father took his truck here to get his windshield replaced. Because his truck has a factory installed camera, he had to take his truck to the SafeLite shop and not a mobile service. The technicians gave his keys to another customer with the same truck when the windshield replacement was finished, which is a big security risk and his truck almost got stolen! My father had to wait while a technician got the keys back from the other customer, which was very sketchy and slow. My father can no longer trust SafeLite with his truck and he will never go back! Not to mention the replacement windshield is an aftermarket one, and not an OEM windshield which he specified to be put in his vehicle. The only positive aspect of this review is that SafeLite cleaned my father’s truck’s windows, which were very dirty before he brought it in for service.

I went in on 6/27/25 to have my windshield replaced. During the replacement, they broke the new windshield leaving me with more damage than my previous one. They also left something, either tools or parts, on my car that I didn't realize until something flew off the top of my car while I was driving home. They rescheduled me for today, 7/10/25. I made the arrangements (again) so that I could drop off my vehicle and have a ride home. They called me this morning to let me know they were ready to reschedule my appointment. What? Terrible communication, customer service, and attention to detail. If it weren't for my insurance, I would go anywhere else. Now I have to take another day off work to reschedule a repair that should have been completed already. Update 7/16/25: Attached photo is their idea of getting things “back on track in no time.”

I got my windshield replaced here on my Audi. A couple weeks later the camera in the windshields cover fell off then my rear view mirror fell off the windshield! I go back they attach the rear view mirror but they broke the cover for the camera and tried to glue it on with the same glue they use for the windshield. So it left this nasty tacky black stuff all over my camera. The cover is discontinued. They can get one but the wrong color. The camera that controls my driver assistance programs no longer works that’s an $800 camera! This place cost me more money then it’s worth and every time I go back they make me feel like I’m an inconvenience. Weird considering you’re the ones that broke my stuff. do not recommend anymore. My first review was right after my visit.

I just had my window replaced at this location and could not have been happier with my experience. I’d never had auto glass issues before, so I had no idea what to expect and was super nervous. As soon as I walked in I was greeted warmly by a receptionist who checked me in and offered coffee, cold waters and the option to watch whatever I wanted on the TV. The lobby was super clean, smelled good, had plenty of space and Wi-Fi. An associate came out to meet me and advised he would be the one performing my auto glass service, also letting me know about the beverages and TV being available. The service was completed more quickly than I thought it would be, and I received a text then phone call letting me know my vehicle was ready. To say these folks are nice is an understatement, they had the warmth of family. Thank you for fixing my window, and for providing such a cool and calm environment to wait in!
