I have had the most unpleasant and unnecessarily long experience with safelite. They turned what was supposed to be a 1-2 hour fix into a week long mess. I brought my 2012 rav4 to them on Friday morning after having my driver side door broken when my car got broken into. They promised to have my car done before noon and DEFINITELY before 5 that evening because I had to be somewhere. I was at the safelite before 5 (they close at 5) and they didn’t finish with my car until well after 5:30, at which point they told me that the part they put in broke and they’d need me to come back to fix it again. I come back that Wednesday and drop it off first thing in the morning and 20 minutes later they call me to tell me that the same thing happened and they wouldn’t have another part till 9 but that he could come to me and fix it. I set up an appointment and he calls me right before it to tell me he’ll be late, but he’ll call me when he gets there. I never get a call to say he’s there, nor do I get a call saying he’s not going to make it. I called the guy and asked him what was going on and he tells me apparently they don’t have a part to fix my car. He promises me that he’ll get a part ordered but it won’t be till Friday that he can fix my car. I have now gone a week without being able to roll down or use my window. A week of them playing games and chasing their tails.. never again will I ever use safelite. Very disappointed and dissatisfied with the service I was provided, or more like not provided.

Friendly and Organized I had the unfortunate experience of having a dump truck sling a larger rock into my windshield while driving to an appointment in Columbus. I scheduled an appointment through my insurance company for a repair. On the day of the appointment they took my car in on time and started the repair. The damage was deep and the tech warned me that he would have to clean up the damage by making more cracks. He didn’t damage the windshield but the resin injector would not seat properly to fill the damage under suction. This meant I had to replace the windshield. I requested oem glass and satellite tried to get it approved but the insurance company declined. They still ordered my oem windshield and after extended wait for it to be sourced they called me to schedule an appointment. My second experience was as excellent as the first. They do a great job of communicating. The oem windshield was only $124 more on top of my deductible.

They scheduled me in, and I was out in under 2 hours. However, I had to go back because the "new tech" put one of my hidden wipers up on the windshield. Now, all I hear is lots of road wind and noise. I chose to buy a top of the line car because one of the features is the fine acoustic windshield that is proven to cut noise and enhance driving on the highway, and because its a thicker laminated glass, it resists rocks hitting it. I had mentioned this prior to installation. Now, the worst part. I have formal training on impact glass, and this windshield is not the same thickness of the OM that I asked about prior to installation. It is nothing more than a thin "Satellite OEM version." Needless to say, because it's much thinner than the original, it causes hearing the roadway and not a quieter accustic version that comes with this car. It's a $295 cheapo made in Belgium that they tried to argue with me and bull me around....."It's glass; it breaks!" Really, genius?? Yes, the very first little pebble that struck it cracked it right across the windshield. I had paid $940 for this windshield that included resetting the radar sensors behind the rear view mirror. I had chosen to pay $200 more than the next closest installer because I believed that they must be reputable. Now, in my opinion, I'd run the other way if I knew that they were going to provide such a poor product and then not stand behind it. I can not recommend this business. IMHO, I think you should run the other way to anyone but them.

While traveling up to West Virginia, the very small pebble damage to my windshield started cracking... and with the unexpected high temperatures I could watch the run get longer - clear across my windshield. So, it was time to do something about it! Went online to locate nearest Safelite and found this one. But I got a bit discombobulated with the address and the exit to take. Address states Charleston, but you take the Cross Lanes exit. (Backstory: because of casino - it has to be within an incorporated town or city - it was therefore annexed by Charleston! And more than one address had to be annexed!) Anyway, booking an appointment was easy. Got there a little before schefuled time as suggested. The technicians, Zackary and Tyler, got on it right away. In the meantime, I enjoyed some good coffee and read my book. The repair took about an hour, 30 minutes to an hour LESS than estimated! Darren at the front desk was really helpful, filled me in on WV requirements AND found another discount! Talk about optimal customer service!!! Darren even went an extra mile by calling me, informing me I accidentally left my jacket and would hold it for me!!! The employees at this location deserve a great big "shout out"! Thank you!

We were driving on I-64 West and someone shot our rear window and I set up a drop off appointment for the next morning on a Saturday. The people were very helpful and actually were able to get us worked in immediately, and we were out in just a little over an hour. The technician, Joe , was great and we were extremely thankful to have our window fixed so quickly. He cleaned up the big mess that was in the car, and we were able to get back on the road by 9:15 AM. So nice to have such a good experience after such a crazy night. Thanks again for everything!PositiveQuality, ProfessionalismServicesAuto rear window replacement

RIPPED OFF AT SAFELITE..... I recently had my windshield replaced and what was supposed to cost me 189.00 ended up being 346.00 i pulled my car in and the installer took my old windshield out then proceeds to tell me oh i found a rust spot and cant put the new windshield back in. And of course now I am stuck at their mercy to go to their recommended body shop. that was suppose to be any where from a 80 to 100 dollars. then the supervisor tells me it will be another 3 percent because he had to pay with his card. ok fine ill pay that i guess because i have no choice. but the kicker off it all was that after i got home i realized that not only did i pay the tax to the body shop but the way they totaled my bill i got charged again tax on that same amount through safelite.
