Just paid a visit and it's extremely apparent they do not care for any new business. Was directed there by online customer service to get an assessment on my windshield (repair or replace). There were no customers when I arrived. No cars being serviced. However, no one wanted to take 2-3 minutes to take a look at my windshield and just tell me "repair" or "replace". Wasn't looking to get any work done then. Just a glance and assessment. The staff was too busy for lunch and I was told to come back in an hour. So lunch is definitely the priority for them rather than new customers. Just a heads up. Also, I checked the website again to confirm their hours. It definitely did not mention, say, or infer/imply that you should not come in during their lunch or that they definitely will ignore any business coming in during their lunch. Also, receptionist is completely not helpful. Keep this in mind when you visit. I'll be finding another service provider.

Absolutely unacceptable experience at Safelite Irvine — avoid at all costs. I had my windshield replaced at the Safelite Irvine location on Friday 4/18 and was met with incompetence, dishonesty, and blatant disregard for quality or accountability. When I picked up my car, no one mentioned any issues. I paid my $200 deductible, got my keys, and went outside—only to find the rear view mirror sitting in my center console, completely detached. I looked closer and saw a chunk of glass missing from the windshield where the mirror should’ve been. I brought the mirror back inside and showed Tony (assistant manager) and Ilce (receptionist). They seemed surprised, and Tony claimed maybe I had adjusted the mirror and it fell (I hadn’t even gotten in the car yet). Then he said the glass must’ve been defective and I’d need to come back for another windshield under warranty. As if that weren’t enough, on the drive home I noticed damage to the dash trim around my nav screen—likely caused when the mirror fell. On Monday 4/21, I received a call from Jerry (Irvine manager) who told me the real reason: the technician overtightened the screw, which broke the mounting bracket and took glass with it. This was the first time anyone admitted the truth. Jerry then claimed Tony had already explained all of this to me on Friday—which was a total lie. When I confronted him, Jerry tried to backtrack and was rude and dismissive. Both he and Tony were unprofessional and dishonest. Thankfully, the Westminster Safelite location was professional and corrected the windshield. But even they pointed out that the wiper blades were missing their end caps, which were removed and never replaced by Irvine. Poor workmanship, no accountability, and a complete lack of professionalism. The Irvine team handed me back a damaged car and hoped I wouldn’t notice. Avoid Safelite Irvine. Period.

LOOK OUT FOR JERRY AND DANNY. If they don’t know how to work on 100k+ cars they shouldn’t. Come to find out safelite has a reputation of being difficult and hiring techs that don’t know what they’re doing. I’d gladly pay more to a private shop that knows what they’re doing and can produce some sense of customer satisfaction and experience compared to this. The saying “you get what you pay for” really holds true with this safelite location in Irvine. We paid $950.20 on 9/7/23 for a windshield replacement. I had safelite Irvine come out to repair my 2020 Land Rover Defender (windshield replacement). My car has a factory snorkel air intake for off road performance. Safelite originally came out a few days prior to complete the job but told us the snorkel must be removed before they can begin work. So, we took it to a shop to have it removed per their request. Safelite came out to complete the job and finished around 6pm 9/7. The next day I woke up to find there were trim parts damaged and missing. The part is supposed to slide on and off, but it was torn off with a screen driver damaging the part and surrounding parts. I drove the car back to the other shop to get the snorkel put back on and called safelite to attempt a resolution. The main customer service number said they were unable to do anything. Then Jerry at the Irvine office said there was nothing he could do because another shop touched the car despite the removal of the snorkel being the only service the other shop performed AT SAFELITES REQUEST. I reached out to Jerry to resolve the matter. He was very rude and short. I had the other shop reach out on my behalf in hopes we can find a resolution and they left the shop on hold for 30 minutes and refused to answer the following calls period. They damaged my car, and are extremely unprofessional in their service. Desired settlement: Billing adjustment Money paid to business: 950.20. Jerry made it clear in conversation and actions he could care less about customers and their experience. Not to mention when we asked safelite to have Jerry call us back he never did and when I finally got a hold of him he had no idea what I was talking about. Great internal communication and customer expectations guys.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

I am writing to express my appreciation for the excellent service I recieved from Jasen at Safelite. He recently replaced my son's entire windshield on his car, and his professionalism, skill and attention to detail were truly outstanding. Jasen provided excellent customer service throughout the entire process. He was knowledgeable, efficient, and went above and beyond to ensure the installation was completed perfectly. His friendly attitude and willingness to answer all of my questions made the experience smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend Jasen for his expertise and commitment to quality service, Safelite is fortunate to have such a dedicated and skilled professional on the their team. I will definitely use this Safelite in the future.

I had the windshield replaced here on my Subaru on the recommendation of Progressive Insurance Company. I paid more than 1000 USD, and what I got back you can see in the photos. The technicians here did an unprofessional job, broke the EyeSight system cover, and dirty the padding around it. Subaru owners with the EyeSight system should carefully consider where they will change the windshield. Communication with customers here is on the same level as technical quality. My car is damaged, and I don't know who or when will fix it for me. There was no active response from Safelite even after 4 days, even though they promised to get in touch with a solution to repair the car they damaged. Avoid this company if you like your car.

Very difficult to get a quote or get information related to needed work. Prices are good, but you get what you pay for. A friend had them replace a window on a Toyota Prius and afterward significantly more road noise, constant fogging of the window on the inside. This fogging was beyond bad and just didn’t seem like a good front window shield . As such we really don’t recommend, but unfortunately a lot of insurers will now only pay for using Safelite to save money. I guess if more of us complained the insurers would have e to change these policies.
