the worst service of my life how is it possible that I leave my car at 9:am and they are so irresponsible that they saw the shop and they don't call me to tell me what happened to my car if they fixed it oh no how is it possible I miss work and the next day I can't go because they don't deliver my car and they tell me in the morning when I leave the car that at 4pm it will be ready they are thoughtless of me I do not recommend them I did not notice the bad reviews they have and if people do not make a mistake in putting them they have to be more attentive they are wrong 😡🫵🏽👎🏾👎🏾

I had a truck break my windshield in my new car and the trucking company didn't want to fix so I tried to use my insurance my insurance and they made me an appointment at Safelite my insurance didn't cover and then Safelite decided to raise the price of my windshield from $347 the quoted my insurance company to $550 and I asked why they said because I didn't have insurance and that's wrong I do I have two insurance policies one for my job and one in my private capacity they did honor that quote in the end but the reputation is done if you are a person that wants to pay out of pocket Safelite acts like law enforcement and wants your insurance to pay for it they don't want to do business with the general public. Today they called to reschedule my appointment for rain and I live less than 1 mile from this shop and they want to make me wait till Friday before I can use my car again for work after months of dealing with this company and it's now painfuly obvious that without a price list posted in store if this was your mother or wife or daughter they will be taken advantage of by this company

Would not recommend!! This location in particular uses extremely deceptive business practices. While I have utilized Safelite’s business previously, my experience today left MUCH to be desired and I most certainly will not be using them again. They falsely advertised to work with my insurance company, and then deceptively charged my card much more than the scheduling agent confirmed I would need to pay due to me providing my insurance claim and claim number. I specifically booked with Safelite due to the website marketing their willingness to “work with/contact your auto insurance so customers can stress less”. Upon calling in to schedule my appointment I had already filed the insurance claim myself and gave my claim number, doing most of the initial work for them. Safelite failed to verify my insurance resulting in a very costly charge to my card on file, almost double the cost of my deductible. While I received several messages throughout my service stating the technician would walk me through payment, I instead got to watch the technician charge my card while simultaneously handing me my car keys immediately upon me answering the door- without verifying or mentioning my cost/deductible. When I called in to clarify why I was charged such an exuberant amount the assistant manager Nicole, who I spoke to for a total of 52 seconds, sounded extremely disinterested, confirmed they did not go thru my insurance and then directed me to my insurance company to issue a refund. The same insurance company that Safelite markets themselves as willing to speak to on my behalf so that I’m able to receive my windshield repair stress free. When I attempted to call back I was informed by other agents that Nicole refused any further calls from me because we had already spoken, which I assume was her referring to the initial phone call that lasted less than a minute in which she directed me to do her job. Please, for the sake of your wallet, time, and peace of mind, take a little time out of your schedule and take your car elsewhere to be serviced. I’d give zero stars if possible.

I had a windshield replacement done at Safelite in Pineville on November 20, 2024, and my experience has been frustrating from start to finish. Issue #1: Poor Reassembly of Rearview Mirror Cover Immediately after installation, the plastic cover around my rearview mirror kept falling off. I attempted to fix it myself, assuming it was a minor issue, but it continued to come loose. After several days of this, I took my vehicle back to Safelite. A representative confirmed that the technician had not reassembled it properly and fixed the issue. While I appreciated them addressing the mistake, I should not have had to return for something that should have been done correctly the first time. Issue #2: Windshield Washer Fluid Line Pinched Under Cowl Fast forward to January 14, 2025, when I was preparing for a trip out of town. Knowing I’d be driving in snowy conditions, I checked my washer fluid—and nothing came out. I could hear the pump running, so I took my car in for service, thinking it might be clogged. The diagnostic revealed that the washer fluid line was pinched under the windshield cowl—an issue caused by improper reassembly after my windshield replacement. This repair cost me $151.26 out of pocket. Given that this was clearly a workmanship issue caused by Safelite, I reached out to request reimbursement. Instead of taking accountability, the manager denied my request, claiming that I should have returned the car to them first—despite the fact that I discovered the issue the night before leaving for a trip and had no time to schedule another visit. Safelite had already made one mistake requiring me to return, so I had no confidence that I would be prioritized or that they would resolve the issue in a timely manner. Instead, I had to pay out of pocket for their mistake just to ensure my car was safe to drive in winter conditions. Their “resolution” was to offer free windshield wipers instead of taking responsibility for their error. Bottom line: If you use Safelite, double-check their work, because if they make a mistake, you’ll be the one paying for it. Their lack of accountability and refusal to reimburse for a clear workmanship issue is disappointing and unprofessional. I will not be using this Safelite again and would not recommend them to anyone who values their time, money, or vehicle’s integrity.

I am very disappointed in Safelite auto this time around. During my quote process, I gave the company my vin number to match with my original windshield. The last windshield replaced by safelite auto was great but it was completed at another location. This location, in Pineville, NC declined to replace my windshield with the original glass but chose a clear glass without any tint which does not match the other windows in my truck. All my windows have a tint besides my windshield. This location replace my windshield with what they had in stock which went against my request. I will never return to this location! I want to be contacted by the corporate office and I will file a compliant with my insurance company because my order was not fulfilled. Now, my truck is extremely hot and this clear glass allows quicker aging to my dashboard due to the sun beaming directly into my truck. I wish I would have never came to this store. The manager did not help the situation.

the front desk concierge did not appear she wanted to be at work. i understand, i have those days too. however, it can be rather off putting. the communication was not great. i was hoping or expecting to talk to the person actually repairing my windshield. i was told that someone would talk to me. no one ever did talk to me. all of that being said, they did seemingly repair my windshield. so end result was fine, process was less than ideal. update: the repair did no go well. the cracks do not seem to be properly filled and are getting worse. it was mentioned that this was a potential outcome but i felt a lack of care and consideration. i had someone from safelite come to my house to re-inspect my windshield. he said he couldn’t fix it. he was way more attentive and kind so i would suggest getting on the schedule for someone to come to you if possible.
