I recently had my car broken into and was in a tailspin of panic. I called around asking for quotes on getting my front passenger window replaced after a "smash and grab". All the businesses I contacted quoted me at least $450 and would need to be scheduled in advance or wait for parts. These guys are different. I spoke to Jeremy on the phone was one of the friendliest customer service people I have ever come into contact with. Then, Victor came out and fixed my window within a couple hours of my calling in, with a professional demeanor that put me at ease. They also charged me $261 + Tax, $200 less than the other businesses out there doing the same service. I would definitely recommend that anyone needing a window or windshield replaced use this company. They are based out of Berkeley CA but came out to help me in Sunnyvale, which is almost 2 hours away in traffic.

Went to the DMV on a Saturday to register my ride. Come to find out that the agent that was helping me couldn’t verify my VIN due to the glue from the Windshield covering it up! my options were to remove the windshield and tear off the excess glue that was blocking my VIN or bang it with a flat head and a hammer! I spent 30mins trying to scrape the glue off, but nothing worked. The only option I had left was to remove the windshield and scrape the glue off then reinstall the windshield, but being charged a full windshield replacement. It was a Saturday and every Windshield company was either closed or was booked out till the next week. After numerous attempts I finally came across “A” Auto Glass! I Called Vick and explained my situation and he drove out to where I was. He removed my windshield in the DMV parking lot and removed the glue that was blocking my VIN number and reinstalled my windshield like a pro! All by himself! Honestly, I was super impressed! Definitely will recommend Vick to anyone! Thanks again Vick! Cheers!

I never thought it would happen to me, but my BMW’s back window was smashed in Oakland. I guess it was inevitable with how often I park on the street. :( I started calling Auto Glass shops as soon as I saw the damage. From the start, Gateway Auto Glass stood out with their professionalism and care. They were incredibly easy to talk to and immediately put me at ease on what was turning into a stressful day! :) Within hours of my call, they sent a technician directly to me - no extra charge for their mobile service - and fixed the window right in my driveway. The technician was highly knowledgeable, worked efficiently, and even vacuumed up all the broken glass afterward, which I really appreciated! Now, a month later, the glass still looks perfect - just like the original! I haven’t had any issues, and the price Gateway gave me was very reasonable. It was a no-brainer to go with them. What impressed me the most was how fast they were. While other auto glass shops were telling me I’d have to wait a week or two for an appointment, Gateway had me taken care of the same day. Plus, not having to drive around with a broken window was a huge relief. Hopefully I never get a smashed window ever again, but if I do I know who to call ;) I highly recommend Gateway Auto Glass!
