I’ve been chasing a leak in my 99 ek hatch for about a year now, has resulted in the entire car being stripped down to bare metal on the interior, door panels, seats, carpet, rear hatch plastic all torn out as I couldn’t figure out what was leaking and it all had a awful mildew smell. Realized after a bad storm one day of the car not being sheltered the A pillar on the driver side had a drip. To beat it all, within the same week of finding the leak a rock hit my windshield and cracked it on the corner I suspected a leak from. Waited awhile as I have a few others cars to fix, and finally got around to calling for quotes for windshield. Safelite quoted me 500$ and then said they didn’t even know if they could get the glass. Felt like they didn’t really wanna deal with me. Called 502 auto glass, they didn’t answer the first time but immediately called me back within a few minutes. I didn’t catch who I spoke with but he was more then happy to listen to me, gave me a far better quote then Safelite and got me in the following day before we got hit by the remnants of the hurricane. Even showed me where the water was pooling up and started to cause slight rust, fixed it for me and had me in and out within an hour. Honestly, stellar service. I definitely will be back and I’d recommend them to anyone needing glass work done to their vehicles. After all said and done I think my bill was under 300$. Upon checking today, after we had a clear moment from the constant rain and she wasn’t leaking and was dry as can be inside. 10/10.

We were referred to AAG for a smashed front window. Angie spoke with me twice, very patient, sympathetic, knowledgeable, and comforting. The technician arrived within the scheduled time frame, we were charged exactly what was quoted, and so far, the window appears to be well placed. AAG was half as much, twice as quick, and easier than a competitor that Angie suggested I try also because her parts wouldn't be in for two days. I woke up to a very long crack in my Tacoma windshield directly in front of the driver's seat and I was heading out of town in 2 days, needing to drive it. I called Arnold Auto Glass, hoping for a ballpark estimate to compare, but I didn't call anyone else because his reviews were so good and because he was willing to go the extra mile to get it done same day (he only had a couple openings that didn't coordinate). The owner was very professional, explaining the process would include calibration to manufacturer specs, included a lifetime warranty as long as I own the vehicle, and that my insurance would cover it 100% in KY with no deductible. He handled everything quickly and the calibration was spot on because an accident occurred ahead of me upon my return home and the anti-collision alerted me to brake as it is supposed to (I was already braking). Despite the lack of communication between the lady at the call center with the manager he got me in and out with no problem. The location manager is a great guy and his customer service goes above and beyond. If you need any form of windshield repair this is the place to go to not Safelite where they charge nearly $200 to fix a chip if you don’t have tint on your front windshield. Auto Glass Now fixed the chip and did it for almost half the price of Safelite.

Middletown Auto Glass & Upholstery gave us a great deal and great service on a new vinyl ragtop with heated glass for our 2009 Mustang. We bought the car in late 2010 and the electrical harness/connector to the heated glass was already broken off at that time -- Ford warranty would not cover it; they could easily argue that after market window tinters damaged it (tinting was also in place when we bought the car -- at least we got a good deal on the car). I managed to glue / solder the harness back in place a couple of times, but we've been making do for years without heated back glass, which is a must-have for a ragtop. I also patched a small puncture in the top a while back. So, we were long overdue for a replacement. I did some research in Mustang forums and elsewhere to figure out a reasonable price for a new top. There are only a couple of manufacturers of these roofs and they both use the same vinyl. Middletown gave us they best price we could expect; by my calculation, a Ford dealer would have charged at least 50% more. Middletown did the install in one day -- dropped off Sunday; picked up midday Tuesday -- and the new top is gorgeous. The heated glass works better than the one in our new Mazda3. Middletown also removed all the old scratched up after market tinting on the side windows at a fair price. They even cleaned out all the grime that had built up in the well that the ragtop folds into. Thanks guys!

For starters, if you care about the resale value of your car, do not agree to the resin fix. The cracks will still be highly visible and to be honest, I'm not sure why that is offered, especially on new(er) cars and to those who have full coverage that covers glass replacements. So comes the day of windshield replacement - note this was delayed a week as the scheduler told me to get there early and I would be seen right away and did not tell me that I actually needed to set a time. So I arrived the following Saturday at the scheduled time. The install seemed to go OK, except discovering later that someone sat on my sunglasses, bending them badly. They're ruined. I discovered the day after that wind leaks had formed in several locations in the top part of the windshield. So it needs to go back for that. But the worst part is that they damaged my car. There is a body-colored A-Pillar cover that looks like a sensor/wiring is attached to the underside. The Safelite tech broke some tabs and instead of telling me, tried to lock it into place to cover it up. That was discovered when I was driving at highway speeds, and I suddenly notice part of my car fluttering in the wind and a sharp increase in wind noise (in addition to the whistling in several spots around the windshield.) I could not secure this piece of trim, and rain or shine, I have to drive with the window down, holding this trim down so it doesn't dent and scratch my car. When is this acceptable? It was so much fun driving to work in a downpour when the window partially down and holding down part of my car. I have a follow-up appointment already scheduled and this will get resolved. Letting a customer discover on the highway that the tech damaged a car is unacceptable, as they had to know the piece of trim was not going in correctly and they left the damaged trim alone instead of working on a fix. ---edit--- Safelite acknowledged they broke some tabs that held the trim in place and was able to reattach the broken trim piece back to the existing trim and the pillar. They also patched the areas where some of the epoxy didn't seal fully. After a highway drive, it appears to have fixed the problems. I'm thankful that they were able to fix this issue without any difficulties and raised the review by several stars.

I called my local Toyota dealership (knowing they up-charge by a lot with almost anything) to replace my front windshield. The original quote for my 2009 corolla was over $1600. Then when I told the service advisor that I was going to call around, he texts me later (after I hung up, I knew they were wasting my time) that the price is only $1100 after they told me they don't need to reprogram the windshield for lane departure assist. I looked around for places and found TruFit Autoglass. I called and the person I spoke with quoted me at $300. They answered my questions, and the person I spoke with on the phone knew what she was talking about. Just got it done today (scheduled within a week despite the big snow storm we had recently), and it looks better than my original windshield. Feels every bit as sturdy as the OEM. They had me in and out in about an hour. Really great place, go with them and not the stealer (dealer).
