I had my windshield replaced on Tuesday and it rained on Friday and Saturday. I got into my SUV on Sunday to take the kids out for breakfast and my car was socked inside water dripping from the dash roof and just about everything in the front was wet. I call Safelite to explain the issue and they said as it is Sunday there is nothing they can do until Monday when the Customer claims department is available I tried to explain that the more it rains the worse the situation was going to be and was told again sorry you have to wait till Monday. I cleaned up what I could started the car and things are not working so I called back and explained the situation and was told you have to wait till Monday. How can a company this large not have anyone working on Sunday to handle this kind of issue. Update So I called back Monday 12/30 and was told I have to wait till tomorrow for someone to look at the window and they are now trying to blame the sunroof for the issue, (the water started to leak after they installed the windshield) they are also saying it is safe to drive the vehicle not understanding that water has got into the electric components. This place seems like a mickey mouse show.

I think my review was removed. I came in on May 9th to have my original windshield replaced. Once I came back to get my car I tried to put my rear view back to original place and it almost fell off. I went back in and they tightened it and then next day my casing for the rear view mirror fell off, it was broke! I called and spoke to the manager Mitchell Knight and asked him if they could come to me to fix this issue and he said they would not! He was horrible with customer service and very arrogant! I told him it's not my fault that they broke it and I could not take more time off work and drive another 30 mins for them to fix their mistakes. I now have an appt with Safelite in Jamestown who is going to come to my job so I don't have to go out of my way to get this fixed!

The young man who came to my home for a front windshield replacement ( I believe his name is Manuela ) was outstanding. He called ahead to let me know he was on his way,he arrived on time and was very polite. He explained what he would be doing and how long it would take. He even installed new windshield wipers. I was concerned about having someone come to my home to replace my windshield, you hear stories about how awful the experience is and how you end up paying more in the end.. definitely not the case with me. Very professional, very knowledgeable, very polite and friendly. He did an exceptional job! Definitely will recommend Safelite to my friends and family. HORRIBLE experience. Started with a ln extremely tiny crack/ding in a relatively new car/windshield; the technician failed at his one job and caused the crack to get larger. Would say now 7-8”. We now have to have the whole windshield replaced. They walk away with no repercussion. The tech had a poor attitude to begin with…I should have told him to leave at that point. Manager was completely useless when speaking to in order to resolve matter. I now see this location has numerous negative reviews and this has happened to many others. We noticed that their reply is to apologize and that is their only reply. Other sites give them only a 3 something rating. Do your research before using this location and business.

I got a lovely crack in my windshield from a dump truck "throwing rocks" in Charlotte on 77, that decided to spider leg across my driver's side window at eye level. I called my insurance and was 100% covered and they transferred me through to Safelite where I made an appointment for a tech to come between 8-1 at my house. They also suggested replacing the windshield wipers which I was happy to do. Cody, a Safelite tech, called me when he was on his way and told me his eta. Cody was very professional, friendly, knowledgeable and answered my questions! He did an excellent job on my window. I highly recommend Safelite AutoGlass!

We had just bought our new car 2 weeks prior to having a rock smash into our windshield. We went to Safelite on Peter’s creek pky in Winston Salem NC for the replacement and had a wonderful experience. As we approached the door the technician stepped out, greeted us by name and escorted us to the customer lounge which was very clean and comfortable. We were able to watch in amazement while the technician performed his magic. Our car was returned to us 20 minutes under the estimated time And we couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. Submission of the order for a new windshield was straightforward and relatively quick. I was able to get a Saturday appointment for Safelite to come to my home to replace the windshield. Insurance verification was quick and not inquisitorial. The work was completed while I was at home and took an appropriate amount of time. The quality of the repair was high, and the new windshield even came with a built-in radio antenna that eliminated the need for my vehicle's exterior radio antenna!

Called to get a quote and it is a lengthy ordeal. I just need a quote. I got frustrated hung up and called a local shop. A novel thought, someone answered the phone, a real person, and in the length of time it took to go through the automation with Safelite and hang before getting the quote. I had a quote. My daughter went on line with Safelite and had to put the vehicle in three times before getting a quote. The local shop was considerably more affordable.
