I had my Jeep’s rear hatch window replaced through my collision center with ER Glass and my overall experience was very dissatisfied. The first installation, the glass was mounted improperly and was grossly misaligned along with a terrible adhesive job on the trim piece and left mounting stickers protruding under my hinge covers. At first, when they came to my work (public retail place) they failed to get a hold of me. I called them at the end of the day and their receptionist, with an attitude problem btw, told me that they called and texted several times and had their guy waiting for an hour on property (why didn’t he walk inside and ask? Why didn’t ER Glass call my collision center to confirm my number after so many failed attempts??). Turns out they had fat fingered my phone number and even tried blaming the collision center for it, after I did some investigating. My defroster kept popping off of my glass. The installers came (wouldn’t let my move my car closer to my building so I can keep a better eye on it while it’s unlocked since there were some sketchy folks in the area) and ended up having me pulled from work during the process… Then the owner (who didn’t introduce himself as such upon first meeting) tried different methods before ordering another non-OEM piece of glass and trim. They came to my work (where he had then introduced himself as the owner), replaced my glass. I’ll admit it is tricky with the gas shocks for the type of window I have, but 5 min after they left and I was moving my car, I noticed two symmetrical gaps of light at either corner! Wasn’t properly installed again! I called and was told that it was too late and they wouldn’t be able to come by again. And that per the owner, the glass was installed properly and any other defects or issues HAD to be body damage and that I’d have to contact the body shop for it! That was the furthest thing from the truth, I also discovered they had broken my hinge cover and they also installed my wiper blade crooked and the bolt cover for that was haphazardly put on! Every time I open my back window, it makes a terrible sound, I have excessive dust blowing into my trunk and they wouldn’t even take accountability for their own dodgy work…. Now the bad alignment is pulling at my hard top and separating the edge. Very disappointing, especially after dealing with this for several months trying to get it right…. Edit: the team was pushy due to wanting to zip through. You guys also broke two parts of mine. My vehicle was not in a collision, the glass was just broken by someone with nothing better to do, so there is absolutely zero chance for body damage. I appreciate the response, however your team still sucks. :)
