My and my husband's cars were broken into on Saturday and Five Stars was able to fix my husband's that day and mine today. They were fast and professional, and our windows look as good as new. On Saturday, they were right on time. Today, when they were running a bit late to fix my car, they called to give me a head's up and asked if it was still okay to come. I know it can be difficult with an afternoon appointment to get to a client in a two hour window, and them calling ahead so I was not concerned showed me they respect their customer's time. They also emailed our invoices within an hour or so of us paying, so submitting those to our insurance was easy. I am so happy with this place. I passed it a couple times before finally finding itt, I think p because the orange color mislead me into processing it as under construction and it's a little "residential house"-shaped but it was so worth it . Tmy windshield had been essentially shattered by a "friend"'s fist in a completely unprovoked incident months before and I coul neither afford to fix it immediately nor abstain from driving, so i delt wit it for months until finally this place presented a price I couldn't refuse (the sign out front professes to beat anyone else's ) alhough my car model is pretty uncommon they had a windshield on hand and were able to book me quickly and do a wonderful, timely and professional job (without so much as acknowledging what a mess my ride is!) The result is absolutely flawless, and in fact, when I first saw it I couldn't help but break into a totally uncharacteristic and unadultered grin (which caused them to beam back at me). I no longer have to restrict driving, entertain excessive police solicitation and wince any time anyhing touches or comes near my windshield or I encounter a bumpy/bump in the road . I mean, I still do(wince), but just out of habit, and the immediate realization that I no longer have to worry about it and the accompanying relief quickly supercedes it. I'm so so glad I/they finally took care of it and can't recommend this place enough!

I rent my car out on Turo, and the person who rented my car called me to let me know someone busted the side window out while it was parked in downtown Portland. This is apparently a very common occurrence in Portland. It was a Saturday morning and I called around to get a quote and find out if I could get it in ASAP for repair. I had to leave a voicemail at most of the places I called, but Albert picked up right away and gave me an appointment for the same day. Compared to Safelite AutoGlass who I got an online quote from, Five Stars Auto Glass was about $100 cheaper (total was $285 for the front passenger side window). They only took around 45 minutes to do the job while I waited in a small tent in the back. The place is small and you might miss the driveway if you are going too fast. Customer service was great. Had them replace a rear quarter window. Their original quote was about $100 more than two other places I contacted, so I said I’d go elsewhere. They lowered their quote to beat a competitor by a few bucks, which was nice. They said they’d be here between 10-12 the next day, and the tech arrived exactly at 11, very prompt and the repair only took about 15mins. Can’t give them five stars though because the work is not the best quality. The window isn’t flush with the trim and juts out a little (had to tell from the pics). They didn’t completely wipe the glue they used, so now it’s dried on my white trim and left black streaks. I tried wiping it off but it wouldn’t come off, may have to try a more aggressive method. Also, the window has two punches on the top. Not sure if it’s from how the window was manufactured, but the original window on the other side doesn’t have it. Considering their original quote was about $100 more than other places, I’m amazed by the lacking quality. Everyone I spoke to was nice and they were on time, but for the cost, it could have been done better.

Their tech came out last week to replace a window and ended up not only damaging my side door while fumbling about trying to gain access as though he had no idea what he was doing (after the mgmt. later told me this tech has over 10 years exp) he was cursing at me and calling me names in Spanish throughout service, only for me to get gaslighted by said mgmt. upon reporting the damage and abuse. They sent out a man and woman to do service last week and neither of them spoke a bit of English, but I used Google Translate to get through the continual issues during the service. The tech ignored my attempts at communication, and simply grew more hostile as a result instead. The tech barked at and berated the lady with him the entire time, while rattling off insults at me in Spanish each time I attempted to communicate with him about things such as drilling out the mounting rivets holding my door speaker in place, only to scoff and mock me when I communicated with him that the speaker would need to be mounted again after the work. I reported to his manager that he drilled the speaker out only to react as mentioned, and then plunk a single bolt into one of the 4 mounting brackets in the speaker, leaving it buzzing and rattling afterwards. The end result has been continual gaslighting by a manager who calls himself Albert, and has actually replied in email that the tech has denied my claims and therefore none of this is true. Also to reply that drilling out rivets is standard practice for this work - with no response about the tech damaging and half-assing putting my speaker back into proper mounting after said work. These people have shown to be not only dishonest, but unskilled at best, and unwilling to compensate for their shoddy work, even with footage and photos taken during the process. Do not go to these people for service. If nothing else, go to Safelite, schedule an appt - cancel it if unsure, and then you will be given the option to drop $100 off their rate if you choose to accept their good work. I recommend this over using Five Star Glass, as they are demonstrably unreliable and untrustworthy.

Our car got broken into while we in Portland for the weekend. I started messaging businesses on Saturday evening but couldn't get to anyone as most auto shops were closed on Sundays; Albert responded quickly on Sunday; he had the glass available for our make and model and said he could get it done by Monday morning and offered us a safe space to park overnight at his shop. We couldn't be more grateful that we found his shop - the speed, quality and price at which they fixed our side window was 10/10. It was around 270~ to get our window fixed which was extremely reasonable.
