Glass America - Auto Glass & Windshield Replacement

Was given an address to Pontiac and called saying I’d be a bit late they said it was fine. I got there it ended up being Gerber I said that’s kind of odd. Went in and they said their windshield guy wasn’t in today and I said ok well I had an appointment today and was given this address. The lady called the company and she said they will be calling me. The lady called and said I was supposed to go to Peoria. I was so frustrated at that point because I already lived 1 hour away and that locate is another hour from where I live then she proceeded to tell me they didn’t have my windshield and couldn’t do my calibration and she needed to schedule me to Bloomington which is farther for me. I don’t understand why this couldn’t have been addressed when I called saying I was going to be late or before my appointment. She offered me a discount but that wouldn’t have made a difference because I have to pay my deductible. Wouldn’t recommend now I have to wait another week to get my windshield fixed and waste more time and gas to go to another company.

At the end of the day it will get done. Took 4 appointments to finally get everything done correctly for my windshield replacement. 1st appointment - windshield didn’t show up in time 2nd appointment - the wrong windshield was ordered and wouldn’t fit my rear view mirror correctly. (The tech offered to install it anyway) I found that to be extremely unprofessional. 3rd appointment - finally got the glass installed and done. After I inspected the vehicle I found a big black stain from the glue used to install the windshield. 4th appointment - they were able to get the black glue out of my sun visor they had left. Overall everyone I talked to through the whole process was very nice. But it was about 1 month later than my original appointment date for everything to finally get done correctly…..

The guys were absolutely great today! I made my claim yesterday afternoon and they were able to come to my home the very next morning. They were very prompt and professional, gave me the spiel, answered any questions and started right away. They even finished faster than what they told me. Everything looks great, and I was reassured with a lifetime warranty if something didn't turn out right. I was obviously referred by my insurance company, but I will recommend Glass America to anyone in need. Thanks for a smooth and convenient morning!

I received great service from start to finish. The customer service representatives in the front office scheduled my appointment and answered all of my questions including warranty on replacement windshield. The technician that came out to do the repair was both professional and personable. Would highly recommend.

They gave me the runaround since Saturday. Rescheduled me for Tuesday, guy shows up with completely wrong window to a different vehicle. Says he can't tape up the broken window because he's out of the stuff to do so. Seemed like he didn't even want to be there. He tells me he will come back the next day. I call him and let him know what time I'll be home and he says he can't help me. So I call the office and I'm being told they can't get me in until Thursday. I received their number from a friend after getting some not so great service at another glass repair shop. I talked to Tim and he was so knowledgeable and explained everything very well. The receptionist called me back right away and was also great to work with. I called on a Thursday afternoon and by Friday at noon my windshield was replaced. The best part about it is I didn’t have to bring it anywhere, they came to my work. It was the most seamless process I have ever had with anything automotive. Thank you!
