Rock Star Auto Glass

I came into town from Northern VA to buy a used car that had a crack in it that I didn’t think would fail inspection but it did. After frantically calling about 10 windshield replacement shops from google who barely gave me the time of day, I called Rock Star Auto Glass, and they fit me in the same day because I had to somehow drive back home and pass inspection before hand, later that evening. The tech arrived earlier than expected, was really timely and friendly, and the price was really fair especially for a mobile service! I highly recommend!!

Rock Star Auto Glass was amazing! And let me say that I have NEVER written a Google review, but they were so good they deserved another 5 stars, but I would give them 10 stars if I could. DJ was able to come to my house and replace my windshield on short notice for almost HALF the price that other places quoted me. The other place (with the catchy jingle) couldn’t get me in until almost a week out and they wanted to charge hundreds more than all 5 places I called and emailed for quotes! The other place also charges you extra if you want them to come to you. DJ was so professional. He called when he was on the way and replaced the windshield in less than hour. He even saved my inspection sticker AND the Velcro that secures my EZ pass! It’s hard to find this level of service and attention to details nowadays! I am not happy to post a negative comment, it's not my nature. My son's car was extensively damaged in an automated car wash in Suffolk back in May this year . That facility called Rockstar who replaced the front and rear glass pretty quickly so the car could be driven while my son went through the process of getting quotes. ( this ended up being over a 10K claim. ) I own the vehicle and live 4 hours away in NC. We got vehicle repair finally completed in late August. Looked great. But there was a problem with rear glass fitment that I did not notice at that time. This is a 2014 Mustang with a large back glass. The glass was bowed and did not align with the sheet metal. After 2 weeks of messages left with the answering service, I finally was contacted by Darrel the owner, who stated he was "out of the country" and did not get the messages. He examined the car, agreed the glass was defective, and replaced it. This was mid Sept. Great. Forward to Thanksgiving, my son came down for the long weekend, and as I have always done, gave the car a thorough detail. At this time I noticed the back glass has scratch marks everywhere, some deep enough enough to can feel with your fingernail. Now I am back to leaving messages, different person each time I call. No response from Darrel. It's as if this 2nd glass came out of a salvage yard. Not saying that's the case What I do know this car is garage kept and has NOT been through another car wash. Sorry for the long winded post. I hope this gets me a phone call from the owner. Disappointed to say the least. Life lesson for my son, don't assume something is fixed properly, check it before you sign off. Still waiting.

I had a dilemma with my hood popping up on the expressway in turn shattering my windshield and denting the roof of my car . I After calling and physically bringing my car to all of the auto glass shops only to get astronomical prices and staying I would have yo go to a body shop to repair the dent in the roof prior to them replacing my shattered windshield ! Now mind you I have a 2001 Honda Accord . The problem with these other companies was the prices were not consistent I mean one wanted close to 600 when another wanted close to 500 . Then there were the 400 group !! All of them continued to say get the roof fixed first . I said well would you be able yo fix it without me getting the dent out ? You could hardly notice the dent in the roof !! They all said yes but we don’t like to !! So I continued to call expecting to spend at least 350 closer to 400. I came upon ROCK STAR AUTO GLASS!! He quoted 231.89 and I’ll see you Saturday morning which was the next day !! So before I could even drink my coffee this young man had started in my car and was finished within the hour !! Now mind you he never mentioned the dent in the window ! He was so PROFESSIONAL, EFFICIENT, COURTEOUS and FRIENDLY!! His price was YHE BESt OUT THERE!! We don’t plan for windshields to shatter so having to get them fixed can be a burden !! Well imagine how delighted I was when this young man quoted 231.89 as opposed to 600, 500,400 and then I realized the reason these other companies didn’t want to fix the windshield with a dent in the roof..! I guess it was a little more of an effort to fix !! ROCK STAR AUTO GLASS IS THE BEST OUT THERE !!! GO NO WHERE ELSE !!! EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!IF IIf I could give 10 stars I would !! Very professional and the best pricing around. As embarrassing as it is, I didn’t realize my windshield was already repaired and I thought it was cracked again. I called and had an appointment the next day. Darrell came out and explained how the windshield doesn’t need any further repairs. Definitely embarrassing and I feel terrible for wasting his time. He was very understanding and extremely professional. I will be recommending Rock Star Auto Glass to anyone that needs a repair or replacement. WOW! What a great experience. I called all the auto glass replacement companies I could find online and the prices were so high. I was really trying to get the best price, so I searched one more time and ended up finding Rock Star Auto Glass through Yelp. I called and was able to get an appointment the same day. Darrell came out to Chesapeake and promptly replaced my windshield right in the driveway. He even transferred my ez-pass box from my old windshield to the new one. When he came to the door, he wore a facemask and was polite and friendly. He accepts credit cards and doesn't charge an extra fee for using them. The best part of it is that his prices ARE MUCH LOWER than the big companies that do all the advertising. I highly recommend Rock Star Auto Glass.
