My rain sensing wipers no longer work. He put the wiper arms on the wrong side making the wiper blades not near as effective and hung out past the side and over the top. I had to swap those back. There is lots of little pieces of glass all over my dash, console, floor boards etc. I paid for the “premium” getting new wiper blades, one of which he didn’t even have out on all the way. I watched the entire process and there was never a “rainx treatment” done. It was simply glass cleaner. I’m about to replace the back glass on my daughter’s car from the hail storm a couple days ago and I will be using the local glass shop and not safelite.

I used their app to get a quote to replace my windshield, resulting in a special price of $281.88 for their premium offering, which includes new wiper blades and rain repellent treatment, but when I continued to the scheduling step, it quoted me $352.90, including a $69.98 upcharge for new wiper blades and a $44.99 upcharge for rain repellent treatment, minus a $75.00 savings for a total of $321.87 before sales tax. There is no way to use the app to get their special reduced price, unless a user goes back and deletes the rain repellent treatment, which drops the service package to a lesser value. When I attempted to call for a quote, their stupid no-humans answering system told me that all of their scheduling is done exclusively online...but I wasn't calling to schedule an appointment...I chose the option to get a quote. I called back and asked for a quote again and the answering system said it was transferring me to a representative, but then disconnected the line. Do yourselves a favor. Avoid this company and visit your local glass repair shop who still believes in employing humans to help humans.

The automated phone system made it impossible to contact the shop directly, and seemingly did not properly relay messages to the shop, which made the pick up inconvenient. Several calls to the local number were redirected to an automated system. Once a person was finally provided, they were unable to put me in direct contact with the shop to find out if my truck was ready to be picked up. Finally, I just drove by the shop and noticed the truck was in the parking lot completed so I picked it up. Much later in the night, I received an automated text that my truck was completed. Seems the automation with the calls and texts are an issue that needs to be rectified. Additionally, a note requesting OEM when the appointment was booked was overlooked, further delaying the process. Then, when the OEM windshield arrived, it was not checked for defects before we drove to the shop, so there was a further delay. It took close to two weeks for a simple windshield replacement…and there was a ton of glass on the interior. I had glass dust and tiny shards on my hands by the time I got home. These things happen, so this was not much of an issue, personally. The employees were all really friendly and courteous, so those interactions were positive. It’s mostly the corporate AI-bot-driven communication system that made this a frustrating experience.

My first scheduled appt Safelite no-call, no-showed! I had to take it upon myself and call the 800 number the next day and ask what was going on. Nobody knew and the agent couldn't get ahold of the local shop to ask, so she took my message and sent it forward. She was polite. Hours later I got a call and Cameron (the scheduled appt tech) explained that they got behind the day before (day of my scheduled appt) and that they "tried to contact me" which was a clear LIE. I don't appreciate being lied to. Then casually asked when I could reschedule saying they weren't available for another 4-7 days. I'd already waited a week for the appointment and this was THEIR fault. When I said that wasn't acceptable, magically an appt opened up for the next day. THAT tech Omar actually did contact me the day before and the day of about when he was coming and showed up as he said he would and did a great job. Omar was great. Cameron was not. And it seems they've got some subpar management if it isn't stressed to the techs to keep in contact with the customers. I am very aggravated about how the whole thing went down, and don't think I will use it again. I should've just waited the extra week and paid $100 less to have my local glass company take care of it.

Satellite came out to install a new windshield in our 2019 Fird F150. Installed the windshield, calibrated the front camera. Technician left saying all was good. Husband got an alert from his Ford app that the camera was not working. Technician came back to recalibrate it, did not work. Came back next week different windshield, same results. He informed us we needed a OEM windshield, was told it was to be ordered. They called wanted to come out to try to recalibrate the camera, we informed them we wanted the windshield they told us we were needing. Now my husband calls today to see ehats going on and they informed us it's our problem now. Our insurance agent has also tried to get answers to no avail. Would NOT recommend.

Very easy to schedule a time for them to come to me and replace my cars back glass. Excellent communication with the technician the day he was arriving, I knew when he was on the way and when he arrived. I wasn't expected to be right there as he was working as long as I was available but phone and I left the keys for him. He vacuumed the broken glass out of the back seat and even the trunk. He vacuumed longer than I ever have making certain all the glass was cleared. He called when he was done telling me when it was safe to drive my car and even texted the next day to make certain any leftover tape had come off on its own as expected. I was told to expect up to two hours for the replacement and he was done in 45 minutes. I'm an hour away from their shop so them coming that distance to me with no extra charge, there was no question I was scheduling Safelite for my glass replacement. Thank you Safelite!
