Horrible customer service can never talk to an actual person. The store number is the same as the 800#. I had a simple question that your website doesn't answer. Instead of actual people they just leave you on hold until you get sick of holding and hang up or they hang up on you. I fully regret ever using this service. Update: I go to pick up my car and there is a 9” scratch! Of course they “didn’t do it” and want to take no responsibility. “Our posted signs make it so we aren’t liable”. No apology, no trying to help just deny deny deny. “The store manager is on vacation and getting ahold of the district manager at this time of day will be impossible“ from the tech cussing me out under his breath thinking I can’t hear him to the instant denial I would never suggest this place to anyone. I will say once you are able to actually get ahold of someone the customer care team members are very professional and willing to help.

We were supposed to get a new windshield August 9 but unfortunately the person installing cracked our windshield before even leaving our home. Mind you, this is after we drove to Lincoln and missed work only to be told they ordered the wrong parts. So this was the second attempt. After looking at our vehicle, we saw multiple damages done including missing parts flying off the vehicle. We contacted them and it is not November 14 so the no end in sight and still no new windshield. The quote for damages was over $3,000 and they want to offer us less than 1/3 of the cost. 100% do not recommend and I would not even give 1 star.

My wife scheduled an appointment for windshield replacement and was quoted a little over 400 dollars. The lady on the phone told her it be 900 IF it needed calibration. It wasn't MANDATORY. Then when I got there this morning. The lady at the front, Lola.. Tried charging me for the calibration. I told her it wasn't needed. I only need the glass. My safety is fine. She told me it was policy. So i asked to see the policy. If there was a policy, I'd happily pay. But I know there isn't one. Its just what you do if it's needed. Its not mandatory. That is why the lady told my wife it only be 400 instead of 900 on the phone. Then when I show up. Its all mandatory. So again, I asked them to show me and it made them upset. They were telling me that I was the one being argumentative when I wasn't. They just never had anyone speak up about this before and they didn't know how to handle it. They handled it poorly. All I wanted was to see the policy. I had them call district management and they sent a paper. But that paper wasn't a policy. It was just things to do, a cheat sheet. And I told them, and it made them more mad. They knew i was right. Then when my wife told me just to go ahead and pay it. They started making sly remarks about not doing it. The man in the back who does the work said he wasn't gonna do it all because I aksed to see the policy. Then I was threatened to have the cops called on me after I told them I wanted all thier information to turn into district and BBB Which I am doing today. I was treated with complete disrespect all because I wanted to see a policy that would charge me an extra 450 dollars. As a customer, they should have things like that readily available for us. They don't. And today, they lost a good customer. A repeat customer mind you.. I already had the windshield replaced by them WITHOUT the calibration before. They treated me like some bum in a bar. And it's not acceptable. Sincerely, Eugene Butler III A customer who wanted to see a policy. And got treated like I was the one stealing money smh.

I went in to have a chip repaired, as it turns out the chip is spreading and a replacement will be required. The technician was able to quickly show me the damage and it made sense. As for the overall store experience I would give it an f. In order to get your car in the shop area it must be driven on about 250 feet of crushed rock path which resembles the Oregon trail. There is no way a low car like a Corvette or similar could ever make it down this piss poor excuse for a driveway without scraping. The crushed rock is terrible for tires. When you do get in the shop you find that the floor is so dirty that it might as well be a dirt floor. I had to clean my floor mat after getting back in my car as my shoes were covered in this same white chalky dust. No way I am going to go back there for a new windshield. I can't imagine why anybody would be ok with paying nearly 2k for a windshield just to have their car get filthy in the process.

My rear window shattered during a recent storm on my 2008 Eclipse, and I was freaking out. It’s the only car I have without the extra money to get another one. My brother, who lives in another state, was helping me get it replaced. We called Safelite (this was a Saturday) and nobody answered. He went online and scheduled the first appointment an available, which was the following Thursday. On Tuesday, my brother text me and asked why I cancelled my appointment. I told him I did not. I tried to call them right away to see what happened and could NOT talk to a person. I was given 3 options: schedule an appointment, questions about existing appointment or questions about completed appointments. It would NOT recognize what I was saying. Eventually I got a text saying THEY cancelled the appointment because they couldn’t find the glass. EXCUSE ME BUT DONT YOU HAVE A DATABASE YOU SEARCH WITH YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM?!?! Shouldn’t you already KNOW THAT WHEN SETTING UP AN APPOINTMENT?!?! And to top it off…they CHARGED MY BROTHERS CARD SO HE HAD TO BE REFUNDED. This was a TERRIBLE experience and I wouldnt recommend safelite to anyone.ServicesService not listedPrice assessmentOverpriced

If you are reading this, I’m begging you to find someone else to do your windshield work. This experience from start to finish was a total nightmare. I’ve spoken with a dozen customer service people and every one of them was rude and unable to help. I’ll save you the details here of the experience leading up to the install, but what I’m more upset about is after the install. When they put the panel back on, they didn’t put the door lock piece back. As a result, they are filing it as a “warranty” claim and can’t come back to fix it for another week. TL:DR an error they made cannot fixed for a week.Price assessmentOverpriced
