First time I called they were going to " order" the incorrect window for my 2010 Ford Mustang GT. I called back after waiting a week to see what was going on and the woman I spoke to knew exactly what window I needed replaced. The one behind the driver's side front door. The little one in rear. The young man showed up on time. Being the window was shattered But still in the window he had to get in back seat and push it out. He replaced window placed the tape around it you leave on for about a day. I gave 4 stars due to him not cleaning up after he was done!!!! He left all the small , tiny pieces of glass on my garage floor around front driver's tire. My son cleaned it up so I didn't get flat tire too. Very unprofessional.

The specific location I went to Got the job done but the lady at the desk Gave me excessive attitude that was unprovoked Like she didn’t want to look my information up and help. When trying to make sure insurance was verified prior to getting work done her behavior ruined my day because I was so confused on why she acted this way with me. Luckily I did not feed into it causing a negative situation for myself or others. In conclusion work on customer service at 3101 CENTRE AVE READING PA or hire someone else Not the lady you have

They did a great job replacing the windshield. Although i did drop my car off at 8:30 for the 9:30 drop and go option and, it still took until 2:30-3 for the car to get done. Not bad. I had a dash cam with adhesive they removed the camera and all adhesive and reapplied adhesive which is nice. They had given me my cut out inspection stickers that I'm able to keep as a nice souvenir (i know i need that anyway)

Scheduled a windshield repair on a small chip with a 3 inch hairline crack. According to the website if it's under 6 inches it could be repaired. Made appointment and went in to be told they can't repair it and showed a sample disc of approx 2 inches that their device can repair. Total waste of time. If you can't repair 6 inches then change you're website.

On July 19 of 2024, my front windshield was smashed after an accident and needed a full windshield replacement. Safelite came out to the place where my car was towed on July 22 of 2024 and completed a full windshield replacement however when I got my car back, my front dash and steering wheel was all scratched up, the rearview mirror was not attached (the guy claimed be was not strong enough to put it back on), and there were shards of glass in my vents that came flying out at you when you turned on the AC or heat. I have a picture from before the windshield was replaced where you can clearly see the dash was not scratched up and after that shows the damage done to the vehicle. Safelite was made aware of the damage back in July and had me come back to the store in July to start the process of filing a complaint and told me the employee who replaced my windshield was fired. A store employee took pictures of my vehicle and claimed they were going to be sent to the district manager. Safelite has been contacted by me, my mom, and my boyfriend’s mom numerous times from July 2024 until now and we have heard nothing back about how they plan on fixing the damage caused to vehicle.

Never ever bring your car to Safelite, particularly Safelite, Reading. I am now going on my fifth encounter with them where they are incompetent, can’t get the job done and have no managerial staff available to speak to. Encounter 1- had a minor chip the size of a quarter brought it in to be repaired (Cost $200) Encounter 2- the chip turned into a giant crack within days which resulted in needing an entire windshield replacement/recalibration. They credited the $200 I already spent towards the replacement total cost $1193. (I understand this can happen, but what is stopping them from doing shotty work to make people get entire replacements?) Encounter 3- a few weeks later my rearview mirror falls down, leaving the wires and camera exposed. Safelite comes out to fix it under warranty. Encounter 4- the mirror falls again the very next day, they tell me I need to bring my car back into their shop for a whole new windshield/recalibration. Again this is under their warranty, which I can’t imagine is very financially advantageous for their company, and at this point I’ve had to rearrange my schedule several times and be inconvenienced by these appointments. Encounter 5- they called me today and tell me my windshield is replaced, but they were unable to recalibrate it because the sunlight in their shop is “too bright”. They told me to take it to one of their other shops another hour away where they have “different shop windows”. I said well what happened when you replaced it last month there was still sunlight wasn’t there?? I asked him to wait another hour or two and try again and he tells me that he can’t because he’s too busy with other jobs. I said I have a job too that I have missed three times now in order to accommodate your incompetence with no manager available to speak to.
