I was looking for a local place to replace my windshield and Seminole Auto Glass was recommended to me more than once. Sarah got in touch with me and we did everything through text (I cant talk on the phone at work). She dealt with my insurance company and with me so I didn't even have to deal with them! Sarah was AMAZING to work with and Larry did a great job on my window replacement. He had everything done within like 35 mins. He explained the "do's and don'ts" so the windshield would "heal" lol correctly. Overall the service was outstanding! Would definitely recommend to anyone that needs a windshield replacement. I would strongly urge you to look elsewhere for a more professional shop before confirming any type of service with family owned Seminole Auto Glass. It started with a mobile repair service technician coming to my home to repair a bashed front door window. The technician was not able to repair my window after over an hour of work after he claimed that he broke the motor in which moved the window up and down. Fast forward a whole weekend, I finally get to speak to the owner of the shop and am told to come into the shop to see what can be done. After my visit with the owner he informed me that the technician did not actually break the motor but was just unscrewing it the wrong way (which led that technician to be fired). Unfortunately after the owner “Larry” fixed my window I noticed that the actual repair was not complete. First my door panel was not even attached correctly after the repair. Secondly the actual window itself had a huge gap where water was allowed to enter the vehicle. Lastly, and worst of all they damaged my leather door panel which cannot be repaired unless the whole panel is replaced. I brought this to their attention and they did not respond to me for two full days and although they were able to successfully fix their mistakes on the window and door panel, they denied having to do anything with the damage on my door panel. I am 100% sure I had no damage prior to the repair with them but they claimed that if i don’t have a picture proving this nothing can be done. The problem is the damage was done to the bottom of the door panel and who do you know is going to have a picture of the bottom of your door? The only possible way this damage could have happened is through the removal of the door panel when repairing the window. Nevertheless, I was not offered anything more than a $20 discount for all of these troubles and was rudely told to go visit the BMW dealership instead of them next time... I strongly recommend staying away as you can find a much more respectful and effective glass shop anywhere else in Tallahassee. RESPONSE: Free? I don’t understand this strong prejudice treatment towards me for requesting a discount on MULTIPLE mistakes that occurred on your end. As you can see with the reply. A short distasteful response to a genuine concern. I am not sure what issue they have with me or why I was treated so poorly over their mistakes. As they told me, “go to the BMW dealership instead next time”.

I'm trying to be as impartial as I can (I edited this after- to be more level-headed). Overall the set up for service was easy enough. I went through state farm. Seminole auto was able to come out the next day "anytime before 3pm." I was leaving my car with my wife, it was easier parking. They said Larry would call me and coordinate specifically the day of. I agreed and wanted them to call me so I could give my wife a heads up. It was nice to know they were so responsive. The day of service I tried to call to remind them to call me because my wife wound up being in a meeting. I couldn't get a hold of anyone. They ended up calling my wife and interrupting her out of the blue without much warning. She was called four times without a voicemail or message left. She was able to get to Larry, and have a co-worker make sure everything went fine. The actual service for a chip repair can still be seen from inside, luckily it is on the passenger side (unsure if this is normal or not). I was told Larry was ok, but less than friendly and seemed to want to just get the service over with and move on. I have a new stain on my driver side seat found after this service, I cannot tell what it is but it is frustrating to know I need to clean up after a service. I really hope it was just something we did not notice prior and not caused by the technician. I am disappointed with Seminole auto-glass. They were able to get to me quickly, but the coordination and responsiveness was a let down for the day of the service. Perhaps it was a wrong place, wrong time for everyone involved, but I had hoped this could've gone smoother.

I had no idea who to contact this week when the windshield on my wife's car was cracked. I read the reviews of a few companies and decided to go with a local service provider in Tallahassee. I called Seminole and spoke with Sarah on Monday. I gave her the insurance information and had a choice of days to get the work completed. I chose today. Sarah called on Wednesday to confirm I was still available, and asked for detailed information about the existing glass to be sure the right replacement was ordered. Larry arrived promptly this morning and the work was done in an hour. Since he has been doing this professional work for 23 years, I knew I was in good hands. The finished result was perfect. I don't want to go through another cracked windshield routine again, but if I do, I can say unequivocally that I will call this business. It is absolutely first rate.

UPDATE: The experience started out great, unfortunately it didn't end so well. They were supposed to come out in the morning, by 12pm I still hadn't heard from them so I called they said that they thought I said anytime throughout the day. So I shook that off as a miscommunication. After that they said would come out after 1pm, it's now 4:30pm and no one is answering the phone. So basically, they just didn't show up and couldn't be bothered to tell me. After posting this review, I called the company - again - and told them that I would be going with someone else and that I had left this review. As a small business owner myself I understand the importance of these reviews, however I would want to know if I had upset someone this much. Anyways, post the phone call and review I received SEVEN phone calls in a row back to back. It freaked me out so much that I had my husband call and deal with these people. They lied to him about what actually happened - which is ridiculous because I have phone logs that prove everything they said was a lie. All in all, the person they have running their phones is totally unprofessional. I do not recommend this company if you want a drama free, easy windshield replacement.

I contacted Seminole Glass after getting discouraged with the unresponsiveness of another local glass place up the street who shall remain un-named while attempting to have my windshield replaced. I contacted Seminole Glass on a Wednesday afternoon and they helped me work out the particulars with my insurance company and having my referral changed. I told them that I was coming into town and could go to their shop. They scheduled me for 9 a.m. Friday and I was back on the road by 9:45 with a new windshield and instructions on how to care for it. They had even installed my new wipers that I had sitting on my passenger seat. Seminole Glass was a smooth and painless experience. Friendly, professional and thorough. I would recommend them to anyone for their car glass needs.
